I like the hook choice. Looks like the point will stay imbedded as the fish pulls because of the offset eye. I'd like to give fly tying a try but I've got zero manual dexterity. "All thumbs" as they say.

These jig hooks are great, you can fish near the bottom without snag and really holds the fish well. As for all things, if you want to be good you have to practise. The same for fly tying, just try and keep at it and you'll soon be able to tie any fly.

That is a great variation of the Prince! I am going to tie some, it should work well on my home waters! I like durable flies, also flies that are fairly quick to tie, with materials that are not expensive! I expect to loose flies, if I am not, then I am not fishing deep enough!

+George Semel Thanks a lot! Have fun with the tying. These are some great words to live after. That's the kind of flies I like too.

Nice fly. I may try it in Montana. You turned me onto the Brick Beige thread from Semperfli from watching your Plastique Frenchie video a while ago. That's my go-to thread for most of my flies now. That thread is super strong and doesn't add bulk when I tie flies down to size 26. So I owe you my thanks.

Awesome fly. Use it up here in Alberta on still waters. Very durable.

Scusa ma se metti il piombo su l'amo Jig non fà più il suo lavoro. Sbaglio?

Ciao Samuel, scusa per la risposta tardiva. Funziona ancora come il filo senza piombo è sotto il punto di attacco sul gancio.

Great pattern, I will tie some to try it. I would like to leave you a feedback.
Keep posting "killer" patterns for Grayling and Trout, it doesn't matter if technique is easy or something, keep this channel full of "killer" patterns, not technique "showcase" like some other channels. :)

+Sasaamann Thank you! Have fun tying.
Thank you for the feedback, I sure will keep posting patterns like this. Flies are made for fishing, so I try to always keep my patterns as simple and effective as possible. :)
