Just a heads up, the front column will be flippable in all production models. We've also included 8 additional long screws to mount either (1) 2 fans to the radiator rails or (2) mount the screws through the fans and into the radiator (meaning the rad will be above the fans like Jay wanted). We have a document with pictures and details of all the fixes, the ones I mentioned just now are one of many. Last but not least, when using the case in vertical mode with Handles, it's important that it stands on the 4 rubber rings that come with the Handles (otherwise stability will suffer). If somebody wants the full list of improvements, just let us know :)
Chamfer those holes inside and out. Maybe .03 max chamfer. Might help
@@TheComquat Speaking of chamfers, we actually did add a chamfer on an internal part of the shell to avoid snagging on risers, but I forgot to include it in the document with the fixes. Thanks for reminding me, will publish the updates version shortly.
@@THORZONECool to see companies being so agile.
@@AarPlays Thank you, really appreciate it :)
I have been wanting to do a sff build and have been debating on swapping my parts over so if I do this is the case! I run a lot of apple stuff as well so this would look amazing on my desk! very beautiful and bespoke case!
Happy to see that you're still OK Jay. We love you.
Yeah, get better soon!
HELL YEAH BORTHER! KEPP FIGHTTIM! GOBLESS!
But seriously, nice to see you having fun, appreciate all the knowledge you've shared. A diamond in the cess pool that is the modern day internet.
Bend the cover just a little bit 😱
@@tymeseries9792 Health issues. There is a video were he talks about it. Scroll through his playlist and you will find it. He is a champ and my favourite youtuber :)
This is the reason that I continue to follow JTC, he is not offering criticism as a way to bash a product but he gives them ways to improve.
Just noticed. You hit 4M subs. Congrats. Roll on the next million.
Hey Jay, I just like to say thank you for not changing. I stopped watching your channel for a while because I was broke (still am) and new tech just makes me salivate. I started watching you again because of your racing rig videos popped up on my feed. Keep doing what you do my guy.
Really like the vlog style build video, love to hear your thought process as you work through the various challenges of the build rather than just montage'ing and summing it up after
This is definitely one of those 'take your time' builds. That case is a thing of beauty., especially with the lights shining through.
No, this is one of those "buy a different, better case" builds.
Insane cost for a case with so many problems. It's like $600 USD just for the case.
@@bigpoppa1234 luckily it’s an already dated version as the company has already many fixes in the works (basically all the things Jay is or has been complaining about)
Welcome to the world of ITX builds, sometimes need to plan out the build to the last detail including the parts used to get everything to work together perfectly.
Love the Maxon "Universe is Unlicensed" at 24:17
Bespoke Baka! I recognise his username from the PCSleeving subreddit. Really cool to see his cables in your video!
First case that’s excited me in a few years so happy to see it’s developing nicely.
This is a great way to work on a product like this, massive learning can be taken from your build experience
Thanks for the video, big thumbs👍
Congrats on 4M Jay and crew. Ya'll have earned it.
I will support this company. They listen, adapt and improve. This doesn't go a long way, it goes all the way!
Thank you, that means a lot!
Gratz on the 4M subs! Keep up the great content!
That's a really nice-looking build. Case looks great.
thank you for continuing to do the epic builds jay!
Very nice looking build. Love watching builds and still love doing them as well after 25 yrs of building.
Love the small builds.
We love you Jay! Congrats on 4 Mil too!
You and your skunkworks build were the things that inspired me to custom loop watercool my machine 😎
Loving this build. Looking forward to the next video.
Hope you're feeling good, Jay. Glad to see you energetic in this video.
Love watching you Jay! You are always on point and I learn stuff from watching you work on the computers. Whether it's Hardware or Software content it is always good.
8:51 The tool you need there is either a ratchet for 1/4" bits, a 1/4" ring ratchet, or an angled screwdriver.
Yup, that's why I always keep a cheap little 1/4" ratchet driver from Lowe's (or HD, don't remember, lol) handy. I don't really like right-angle screwdrivers - it's hard to maintain downward pressure with those, whereas with a ratchet you can keep a thumb on the top while turning to hold it in place.
All you need is a 1/4" ratchet and a 1/4" socket. Put the bit into the 1/4" socket.
Yeah or a tiny wrench that fits the driver bit
Congrats fot 4M subs, Jay !
I love the look of this case and can’t wait to see the revised case build. I’m thinking I want to do build with the case.
Thanks for the build, Jay! Def the video I was waiting for since I'm seriously considering this case. Looking forward to any future vids about it. Glad you're doing alright too!
This video makes me love my 15 year old, 32 inch tall, Antec case even more. Something I didnt think was possible
Congrats on 4m subs! and I love the ssf style videos!
4 million subs! Congrats!
Nice to see Jay doing a build.
It’s small builds that forever cement my love of mid and full arc towers.
once again jay you nailed it hope your healths getting better
Love these build videos and glad to see your health is holding up!
dude, i have been anticipating thisd build since your initial review! i have pre ordered mine and cant wait til they ship out. Glad to see they have updated their design short falls based on your/other reviewer feedback
Haven't watched your videos in a while, but glad to see you're looking healthy, Jay! That was a tough build, and great job making that look as fantastic as you did, in spite of the rough edges of the case.
Great build Jay!
Good to see you back doing what you love, building custom PCs🍻
Jay, I know this was a ballache but thank you so much for doing it. I really wanted to see a build in this case.
Well done! Looks great.
Dude I love the lazy Susan to spin the case around, great idea!
It looks really nice. It's a gorgeous case. Hopefully the revisions fix issues
I think it's stunning. Since day one of seeing this case for the first time I fell in love with it and you have done a sick build. I'm not a fan of AIOs but obviously it's probably the best option in a case like this.
Nice looking and so happy I did not have to build it.
It's like a High Power " Shuttle " on it's side. Thx for sharing
i know its rough but everytime i see you do a case review i hope you immediately jump into a build. just because they made a revision from the first video and now probably need to do another if they already did hit production. just my little bit because that is a pretty rad looking case. totally would buy it
Love every jay video 📹
I'm happy to see you in good health Jay!
Finally. I wanted to see this build
Perfect timing too! I just learned about this case and then bam! This video drops minutes later lol.
You're doing a great job Jay, keep on what you're doing, it's good, love your vids, God bless
Even the best of the best have their limitations. Still absolutely well done Jay!
Congrats on the 4 mil subs guys, Hope all is well. i finally want to do a small build like this. i dont need to i just wanna, hehe and i like this case
Man that case is gorgeous
Keep going strong, i love you work. All the best from Denmark
Just started a meshlicious build. The new challenge is getting a two slot gpu and capture card to play nicely within the space. Cables are the only thing jamming things up 😅
JAY Little tip for you. You can purchase ratchet head bit holders, like ratchet spanner/wrenches. Perfectly small for those tight spaces, so instead of finger tight and preying it doesn't come loose (Mobo screw) you can give it a bit of torque to secure it. Most autozone/tool stores will have them. Fantastic for furniture building and small case builds among MANY things. Handy tool to have.
Im glad this exist........as some1 who recently went into ixt its much harder than normal build there are so many factors and compatibility factors that goes into planning and on top of so many amazing cases with its own limitation n advantages.
Thank you for this!!!
Cool build, thanks for doing an itx build!
Congats on the 4 million subs team!
Fyi, I have been using riser cables for the past 5 years, but with the 4000 series, 4090 , I have had many problems, black screens while gaming, have order many different cables from different brands , different prices (20-140€) none of them work flawlessly, so I have switched case xproto N to an open bench, bc1 mini.
It would be an interesting topic to cover maybe in a next video.
Thanks for the great content you keep posting:)
Hi Jay. This doesn't have anything to do with the video, but I just wanted to send you my best wishes on your health and well being. Take care of yourself and your family, and many thanks for all your wonderful videos that not only helped me, but I'm sure helped a lot of other people.
Kool Build!
Congrats on the 4 mil 😮😮😮
I hope you get ahold of the new thermaltake tower 300 and find a way to water-cool it. I think that would be an amazing build for a smaller form factor with watercooling.
take a shot every time something dawns on jay. enjoy your night
Beautiful case 👍🏻
4M subs ...!!!!!! .nice bro ,great job . so your hitting 5M by next week
Hi Jay, you can start your screws under an obstacle like you do. But you can use a screwdriver at an angle when they are almost all in!
"Took tool bit and finger tight"
Harbor freight....box end ratchet wrench FTW bro
How are you doing Jay!? Hope all is well? We need you making these awesome vids for AT LEAST another 25 years!😊🤜🤛💯
Need to get yourself a mini right angle ratchet screwdriver Jay :) They are a dream
Or just use a pair of pliers.
or just use the ifixit flexible extension that comes in the kit.
its a really interesting video. congrats on 4 million subs. also blue light seems to look better to me with the silver
I would do that same kinda trick to get tight space screws tighter. What I did to get it a bit tighter was to use a small crescent wrench to grip the bit. Plenty enough extra leverage, and easy fit with small wrench. Also doesn't marr the bit like pliers or small vice grips would.
The front reminds me of a NaS drive. But like you said rgb at the bottom would look good nice glow not to over the top, also they could have the psu mounted at the front would give more space for the aio tubes
love watching a magician work
Saw both your videos on this case agree with all u said and I add to it the aluminium case cover doesnt need to be this thick. You could try this with regular branded VGA with fans on top side only
Quarter inch ratchet wrench, used with the screwdriver tip, is the way i go when i need ultra low clearance fasteners removed/installed
I don't own a computer (maybe someday) But I do enjoy watching you guys build them. Best of health to you.
I build my new PC this weekend! Its going to be a beast.
What a time to find this video as I'm taking break moving from vortex to MO2 and hiccup is getting BaKa Scrapheap and Buffout 4 to work.
I would take that build in a heart-beat.... My last build was 2014 (10 years ago)... the summer I got my kitties!
Tip for tightening the MB screws. Once the bit in tight as possible, use a small wrench to tighten it the rest of the way using the flat parts of the bit as grip for the wrench.
I already did a build in the lian li A4-H20 it was a little bit hard but damn this case is on a whole different level
Jay you have an IFIXIT kit, it comes with a bendable rod for tight spaces use it.
you could use plyers to grip the screw bit to tighten more
Really stuck on me that I saw a case like this and it turns out Mr Matt Lee has a build vid. but the mini version of this. Great job Jay
Mr Matt Lee did a video using this case as well. Looks pretty cool, but comes with the usual ITX difficulties.
Love The Vids!
@JayzTwoCents, you got it built! Good job, Jay! I think I'd need a beer or six to get through that build. It seemed a bit vexing, to say the least, but it looks pretty darned good. Oh, I like your keyboard. Where can I get one of those?
Hey Crew, maybe 3D print some feet that mount to the bottom of the outer housing or some wider clip-on feet to the handels. 🤔 I mean if u gonna add a fan to the front, ur printing some brackets for it, so why not doing it for some feet 🤔🤷🏻♂️ keep going with the videos. And congrats to hitting 4 Million subscribers 🫶🏻🥳
That's nuts. Looks awesome but definitely not worth the hassle. Hopefully the revision is better.
their previous offering had similar issues, this "bigger" case (the previous one was 10L) was suppose to help with all the cable+case squeezing. for AIO its a nightmare unless you have small hands and have enough patience.
good luck with the case - hope your experience will be better for some of us.
Phil with the spine shift for the win.
For the motherboard mounting screws that are not accessible with a standard driver, the bit you used can be tightened using a 1/4" wrench. All bits like this fit into a 1/4 nutdriver.
Sick build
But the screw distribution is idiotic a bit...
@@Sponsi_PLyea true, hopefully production version has improvements on that front
Always funny watching Fellow ADS Grown Ups 😂 Oh, wait there was a Button I didn’t like that way…two hours later 👋
Literally dying for this build lol
It is a sweat looking case. Would look Nice in my living room for my entertainment system.
M.2 slot on this motherboard is PCIE Gen 4.0 while you use Crucial T700 which is Gen 5.0
Just a little mechanic tip for yea. The Apex bits for your screw drivers is 1/4". You can use 1/4" ratchet wrench or a regular open end/box end wrench for tight spaces.
9:16 Use a box wrench on the driver bit for the screws you can't get the screw driver to.
Man that’s still a great looking build
