    Skip saying LeBron didn't play well G4. But after Bulls up 3:0 to the Sonics, Jordan didn't close out the series with the killa instinct. Jordan shot 6/19, lost G4, G5, and didn't shot well in G6 either(5/19), got on the FT line a lot. And this is the historical 72 win team.
    The point is they are not perfect they can have bad games.
    Bogut was not effective at all, he was not even on the floor the final 3 games in 2015. As soon as he got injured in 2016, he become the deciding factor for LeBron playing well. Draymond played G6, G7, no excuse.

      Jack Lee in your comment is the answer to the reason why MJ is the greatest and why this should never be a conversation. When Jordan shot bad and you look at the stats and watch the games, he would not disappear, he would find other ways to win. I watched plenty of his games as I am a old head, where he shot terrible and the started distributing the ball or getting to free throw line for the team to get the win.

      kylealovejoy I am old head too. I have watched Jordan a fair share of his matches. It is just every LeBron's play is put under microscope, I can list over 20 playoff games he play like superman single handedly win the game, but Skip want focus on those game he didn't play well.

      you know I honestly think people don't take everything in perspective. I've said it before the reason why Jordan was so good overall in the finals and went 6-0 is because he had competition that forced him and his team to be so good. Where as lebron how can he learn to be so good in the finals when he didn't really get competition till the finals.

    • @MrMuaythai84
      @MrMuaythai84 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      so thats the nba fault? if lebron face celtic and piston like jordan did lebron would retire he hates physical play he cry about the bulls being physical

    • @edwin8443
      @edwin8443 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not saying its anybody's fault I'm just saying people don't seem to take in consideration what both people had to go through to get what ultimately wanted. its like trying to pass the S.A.Ts with high marks you got a guy like Jordan who had the luxury of having to go through a PSAT to learn what to do to pass the SATs lebron had to do it without it. And that ultimately brings me to a point I've always had and that is people need to stop comparing players from now no matter what sport to those of the past because more often than not competition and other things will almost always give the nod to the prior player because there's going to be that degree of difficulty that was higher then than it is now. Believe it or not even players you can say that flop or cry a lot do probably do it more so due to the rules and thus use it to their advantage.

      It's not hatred. It's just him saying that Jordan > LeBron as of currently, which is a true FACTUAL statement. However, I do agree with Shannon in the fact that LeBron can surpass Jordan but he needs to win an MVP and two more rings. Because ACCOLADES are important.

      No, Jordan lost his first 6 years in the playoffs....but let's look at the teams he faced then.....his rookie year, he faced a very good Milwaukee Bucks team (Sidney Moncrief(2 time DPOY), Paul Pressey, Terry Cummings, Alton Lister), then he faces the team that some consider the greatest ever, the '86 Boston Celtics (Bird, McHale, Parrish, DJ) and again in '87, and then faces the Bad Boy Pistons 3 times (Thomas, Dumars, Rodman, Laimbeer)............if you look at these teams, the only team that did not make it to the Finals were the Bucks but the other 2 teams were legendary.

      J Durham you have to remember who Jordan faced in the first round as well. Bird's celtics won the championship that first year, lost the championship in 6 the second to the lakers., and then the pistons won the next year. So I think if anything your comment is incomplete. Don't forget Jordan faced the badboys and celtics and still put up great numbers on 50+%, but again, NO ONE can do it alone. Also LeBron was in the weakest era of the EASTERN CONFERENCE (in term of competition), there's a reason why LeBron is a lock to make it every year. (Not taking away from LeBron, still a goat).

    • @theiggod6921
      @theiggod6921 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      J Durham you're comment is incomplete. Lebron went 35-47 his rookie year. So he has had a losing season, and he missed the playoffs his first 2 years. After that he was phenomenal.
      Jordan never missed the playoffs, but had losing records. But he was competing at a pace with the rest of the league. Jordan had to compete with the "GREAT" Celtics and Pistons, both of whom won multiple championships at the time. LeBron's competition in the East were the Pistons and Celtics that had only had one title a piece.
      MJ had great competition in the East when he played.

    "Lebron isn't clutch." Lebron's percentage is almost equal with Jordan's in game tying/winning shots in the playoffs. Lebron has, hands down, the best elimination game stats in history. Lebron is consistently either the top or one of the top scorers in the 4th quarter each year. It's difficult to listen to people who completely fabricate ideas because of their bias.

    Jordan is far greater all around than Lebron. Jordan: defensive player of the year, MVP, Scoring champion, Dunk contest champion, 6 time NBA Champion... Michael steals the ball, block shots, and scores, never lost in the finals. Lebron: MVP champion, 3 of 7 in the NBA finals. Lebron blocks shots and passes. The closest to the great Michael Jordan is Kobe Bean Bryant. Lebron can't even get to Kobe's level!

    • @jaysaget1280

      I agree with you in placing Kobe ahead of Lebron. I have to say though, Skip admitted that Lebron is a better all around player than Jordan. So you know if Skip didn't argue that, it's because he couldn't even defend it.

      +Jay Sagét That's not the objective of the show. Skip can make an argument easily but there would be so many detrimental points to the NBA and their players if he had brought up the variables. The way they officiate the game has changed drastically, the physicality, the number of time-outs made by officials, anything to do with attrition & injuries have also changed drastically, this and that are all different, anyone can go on and one. The league is also having the 2nd and 3rd lowest field-goal percentages in the past 35+ years, from the past couple of seasons. The number of rebounds per game have gone up, there are just so many variables, there's 30 teams today etc, it's almost pointless to make a side-by-side comparison just using per game stats.

    Well after LeBron's first Finals appearance against the Spurs in 2007, the Cavs were swept by the Spurs. Now that LeBron James announces "The Decision" and went to Miami Heat, EVERY SINGLE SEASON that LeBron plays at have lead them in the NBA Finals.
    For Example;
    2011 NBA Finals: Miami Heat vs. Dallas Mavericks
    2012 NBA Finals; Miami Heat vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
    2013 NBA Finals; Miami Heat vs. San Antonio Spurs
    2014 NBA Finals; Miami Heat vs. San Antonio Spurs
    2015 NBA Finals; Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden State Warriors
    2016 NBA Finals; Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Golden State Warriors
    LeBron James from the 2010-2011 season has been to the NBA Finals 7 times and by yearly comparison, and he CAME BACK from a 3-1 deficit in the Finals, against A team who beat Michael Jordan's 1996 Chicago Bulls record of 72-10 and that team is the Golden State Warriors whose record is 73-9 and LeBron beat them while leading the NBA Finals record in all stats and the first player to score in an NBA Finals. I think if LeBron James manage to win 3 or 4 NBA Championships he will be by definition be the Greatest Of All Time not MJ, also Michael Jordan is JUST A SCORER while LeBron is an all-around player!

    The Bulls won like 3 less games the year after MJ left LOL. That team was good with or without him. MJ had an all time great supporting cast for YEARS. Had a top 3 NBA coach all time for YEARS. He lost in the 1st round of the playoffs like 7 or 8 times ..? LeBron has never lost in the 1st round of the playoffs. He carried some of the most pathetic playoff teams of all time into deep waters in the playoffs. I'd rather lose in the Finals then not even make it there. He's a more complete player than MJ was. Just as marketable. Just as box-office. Just as good if not a better overall athlete when you factor in strength and explosiveness. MJ lost to the bad boys until they got old. Like it or not, he played in an era where despite the abundance of hall of famers, almost all played on different teams and there were NO super teams. There were NO Pop led Spurs, there were NO Kobe and Shaq led Lakers under Phil Jackson. There was NO big 3 Celtics team. There were NO 73-9 Warriors teams.

    • @kevinflowers463
      @kevinflowers463 8 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      You sound like an idiot. "That team was good with or without him"Then why did they get eliminated in the 2nd round. The 1994 team had everyone from a 3peat team come back and even added the Kukoc who was the best European prospect. Going from 3peating to losing in the 2nd round is a big drop off."He lost in the 1st round of the playoffs like 7 or 8 times"This lets me know that you have no clue...Look up how many times he lost in the first round and tell me if it is close to 7 or 8."LeBron has never lost in the 1st round of the playoffs"Yes but for some reason LeBron fans do not acknowledge that he missed the playoffs the first two years. How often does a high pick take his team beyond the first round outside the rare occasions they get drafted to a team that was already good and happened to have a high pick because of a prior trade or injury (ie. Duncan). There is a reason why a team has a high pick and its because they were horrible the year before"MJ lost to the bad boys until they got old"Unless you consider 30 old than they weren't really old. Isaiah and rodman turned 30 a little before the series joe dumars is actually younger than MJ. Vinnie Johnson was the oldest on that team who played big minutes at 34 and he actually led them in scoring at 21ppg. The pistons were number 1 in defense that year, 2 time defending champs, 3 time defending conference champs."There were NO 73-9 Warriors teams"He didn't have to play 70 win teams because he was able to lead his team to 70+ wins. So you want to look at opponents played against. Tell me how many 60+ and 50+ win teams LeBron has beat in his career and compare that to Jordan.

    I don't like Skip's language and arrogance about Jordan, but I have to agree with him. I'm not sure LeBron can do anything at this point of his career (32 yrs old) to catch MJ. Not talking about number of rings but HOW they got their rings. That said, Bron is a top 5 all time player.

      Destiny Fashek because MJ didn't have the miles on his body that Bron has now. He came into the league AFTER 3 yrs of college, and got his 2nd threapeat AFTER taking a year and a half off from the game. So that means Bron has almost 5 years more pro mileage on him than Jordan did at their respective ages. Also, Jordan NEVER lost one finals or even got to a 7th game. Outside of Bron going on a crazy run through 38-39 yrs of age, can't see him coming close to that.

    • @Israel-nb7ip
      @Israel-nb7ip 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      DHaines6 first of all it wasn't "the greatest team ever" since they didn't win a ring. They had the greatest regular season. Second, if he does that, he MAY have a case but I just don't think it's a winning case by any measure. You'll be living in the moment. The only thing IMO that can give him a legit, arguable case is getting 6-7 rings. Jordan's finals legacy is 2nd to none outside of Bill Russell who played when it was a different league.

    4:13 - The double standards of Skip Bayless exposed... Plus, Skip goes on and on and on about clutch and about Kyrie's shot, but it wasn't THE moment of the finals heard round the world. That was Lebron's CLUTCH chasedown block, one of the biggest clutch defensive plays EVER (right up there with Jordan's steal on Malone).
    And why does anyone have a problem with Lebron chasing Jordan? Even if he never reaches him, it means Lebron will forever try to improve his game! That is great for both Lebron and the NBA.

    I just wish some of these guys who argue against Skip would do a little research ahead of these debates instead of just giving Skip the bully pulpit to throw a lot of garbage insinuations out without being challenged. Jordan had a pretty lengthy career, but Skip consistently glosses over the other 14 years of Jordan's career to focus solely on the few years--1991-1998 when the BULLS were insanely successful. But, he wants to ALWAYS use LeBron's entire career to bash him. For instance, he asks if Jordan ever "disappeared" after being up 2-1. The answer, of course, is yes. In 1989, Jordan scored 46 points versus the Pistons in Game 3 of that series, including the go-ahead basket. The next game, in Chicago, "his house", the Pistons shut him down to 5-15 shooting. I Game 5, Jordan attempted just EIGHT shots the entire game, leading the media to asking if Jordan was being used as a decoy. The Pistons swept three straight from the Bulls, with little Isaiah Thomas destroying Jordan with 18 4th quarter points to seal Game 6 IN CHICAGO.. In fact, Jordan lost in the FIRST ROUND of the playoffs an astonishing three times, and failed to make the playoffs twice. Jordan has a CAREER losing record, as in under .500 without Scottie Pippen. Jordan's 1-9 playoff record without Pippen cannot be explained away under ANY theory other than the fact Jordan was a HORRIBLE team basketball player, who was a loser at EVERY level except the years Pippen played with him. It is PIPPEN who has the winning record at every level, and it is PIPPEN, who in his rookie season LED the Bulls to 50 wins, whereas Jordan had a losing record there before Pippen got to Chicago.

      ***** I do give credit to LeBron for that but its annoying for people to say well he will have more career whatever when there is a clear reason for that.
      In Jordan's bulls career he was eligible for the scoring title in 11 seasons ('86 & '95 he didn't qualify). In those 11 seasons MJ won 10 scoring titles and the only season he didn't win it was his rookie year (he led in total points but 3rd in PPG)
      If there is one thing that is obvious, it is that MJ was a better scorer
      So when someone comes and says well LeBron will have more points they say it as if LeBron is a better scorer or like it is a close debate. It shows they are bias or extremely ignorant.
      That's like me saying well mark Jackson has more assist than magic.

    In my opinion I don't even think Lebron is better than Kobe let alone MJ. Of course people will throw around the numbers and the Kobe playing with Shaq thing. Kobe could have averaged 28,7,7 if he wanted to but throughout his career the team he had he didn't have to every night. But when it was winning time and they needed him to be both a scorer and facilitator(Kobe actually did pass the ball lol check the numbers during those title runs) he did exceptionally well. Kobe played with Shaq, yes, but Shaq needed Kobe as much as Kobe needed Shaq. But I wouldn't be mad if anybody say Lebron is better than Kobe because he is a transcendent player I just think the Black Mamba was better.

      +Bedcorn when your talking about whose the greatest basketball player ever the reason people always usually say wing men or guards Like MJ, Kobe, Bron are because they are more versatile at what they can do as opposed to a big man. Wing players and guards can shoot threes, run the floor, crossover, and display more basketball abilities. It's very rare that you see a big man at least back in Kareem's day that can run the floor bringing the ball up court popping threes crossovers and all that. Versatility is how use the eye test as humans when judging ability

    Plus Skip neglects the fact that zone defenses and help defense was illegal back in MJs day which allowed MJ to play 1v1 iso ball all game long and destroy his opponents. LeBron dismantles teams when in iso situations which is why players sag off and have help defenses on lebron. Same thing would have been applied to MJ which would have forced him into more bad quality shots or give the ball up more but yea lets ignore that

    • @hisports6017
      @hisports6017 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually, that wasn't true, 1 on 1 ball happened more often back then but double teams still existed and a type of zone D stilled was being played even when it was illegal. But just because you go one on one doesn't mean that you don't get checked every time going to rim or taking a jump shot. Plus in the early 2000's when zone D was in place, a 38-40 yr old Jordan still played at a very high level even losing most of his athletic ability.

    • @MistahJay7
      @MistahJay7 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** double teams were allowed but it came at the cost of leaving the other man open. in the 90s help defense was not allowed. other defenders that were guarding there check were not allowed to sag off into the paint they had to guard him where ever he went. In todays NBA jordan would have had a harder time scoring since he was a terrible 3pt shooter. even worst then lebron as he shot multiple years around 17% and the only year he shot 40 was the year the league moved the 3pt line 2 and half feet closer to the basket then later moved it back and jordans 3pt% went back under 30%. another note that skips neglects is that the 90s was a very weak era which is the decade jordan finally won his championships. Pistons were outa there prime. Magic and bird were old. The only elite championship caliber team jordan really ever beat was the utah jazz other then that the other 5 chips were a foregone conclusions. MJ beat 0 super teams. LeBron has beaten 2 super teams

    • @hisports6017
      @hisports6017 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Uncle Drew23 I certainly wouldn't call that era very weak, compared to the 80's era it was actually more evenly spread out. The 80's were more top heavy with great teams. The 90's had less superstars on multiple teams than the 80's. That does not equate to the 90's being a weak era. I'm assuming your talking about the expansion teams, right? One of those expansion teams, the Magic got Shaq and Weber (traded for Penny). Realistically it doesn't matter if expansion teams are added, only the best teams make the playoffs. That has very little impact on what goes on in the playoffs. Good teams make it and bad teams don't. And heres the thing with double teams, it happened often against Jordan, the benefit of being a big back then was you can stay in the lane and check a player. Now the rule is 3 seconds in the lane. Plus one on one defense isn't always easy in that era, players used there arm to guard, which is illegal now. Say what you want, but the reason the NBA got rid of all those defensive rules was to increase offensive scoring. Even if it left a player open, there was always some kind of physicality that came with it, if they weren't shooting a jumper.

    • @MistahJay7
      @MistahJay7 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ***** you make some valid points but you have to agree with me that skip is completely delusional when he says lebron isn't clutch when his been nothing but clutch.
