- Today we check out a highly modified Ford Fusion Sport with the sweet 2.7L twin turbo V6 Ecoboost engine! This was my first time in a fusion with the 2.7L ecoboost and it did not disappoint! This car has a long list of modifications which makes this Fusion like no other!

I always loved the Fusion Sport, really underrated cars that deserved way more popularity. This one is clean and proper, this is exactly how i would mod mine. Nice video production quality too, great work!

I had a 2017 Fusion Sport in this same color. FAST is an understatement.. The only modification that needed to get done was the suspension. I took this car up to 143 mph and it was still pulling like a freight train, until I eased up due to the ultra soft suspension set up from the factory. I traded it along with my 2016 Explorer XLT for my 2019 Explorer Sport. I really wish I kept the Fusion. Only had 19K miles on it when I traded it in!
Did you have it in sport mode during the high speed run? I find it's really bouncy by default, but in sport mode it firms up noticeably (not stiff, but it's noticeably stiffer).

i bought my fusion with 27.5k miles on mine. i love it. ive had it since 12/20/20 and now its got about 56k miles
@@xxDuhamelxx Nope! Most times I’ve driven it at speed like that, it was on the fly, and had no time or forgot to select sport mode.

So I actually follow this guy on Instagram and his car is really cool to look at. So many nice upgrades. 👌 I myself have it all blacked out with nearly 5-6 grand worth of proformance upgrades installed already lol 😆 this car is insanely fast! I've had mine around 155mph with one hand on the wheel and there's no issues. It's obviously Custom tuned and even that is just a basic setup. No revises really needed and is till have alot to improve which makes this car hands down the best fusion ever.
I didn't like this gen Fusion when they first came out, but I LIKE THESE NOW.

Just bought a 2019 Ford Fusion sport!!! I love mine! I’m doing many upgrades soon! Just got it a week ago! Windows are already tinted ceramic, and black wheels added. Along with tires😀 I love this monster! Family friendly, awd great for Michigan winters and it’s quick very slept on for sure! It competes with my buddys scat as well and my fusion is stock. I’m getting a stage 2 tune done as well. Running 93 octane just like this guy! Also Borla exhaust is on the way🤦♂️😭😂🤷♂️🙏 but love the video man! Keep it up!

As a Chevy guy I’ve been looking into the Fusion after battling a built one in Orlando with my Caprice PPV muffler delete custom intake and tune. That thing was barely behind and lost steam at 145. I’ve owned a few LSC 7’s and a BBK built Thunderbird as a few Explorers etc. and this car would be my next oval. It’s prowess compares to a tuned 4.8 Genesis and that speaks volumes.

Love that splitter, going to look into that for my sport. Coil overs are for racing, air for show, you wont get the same track results out of air as coils. They are not meant for adjustment, they are meant to be tuned and locked. Nice fusion!!

@@AJAY71731 Lol. Yeah I was a little nervous talking so I kind of said the word custom a lot but on top of that some of the stuff on my fusion sport is custom and literally hand made from scratch with a fiberglass mold. It’s pretty cool but it’s a lot of custom work. Get it? Lol

That was interesting. I actually traded a 2017 Fusion for my 2020 Mustang (of course not like that one, it had the regular Ecoboost engine). You know, I missed that car for a while, but wanted rear wheel drive. Prior to my 2017 I had four Fusions As company cars, drove them all about 80,000 miles and never had a problem with a single one.
thats my 2017 fusion sport in the video and i love it. its pretty nice with the features it has along with the power. Its just enough for me to have a little fun with on the road. Once i install my cue intercooler and run a e30 tune i should be having tons of fun!

Then you lucked out. I had the older fusion sport with Duratec v6- water pump leaked into the engine. Had the stupid internal water pump design. But also but the new fusion sport.- couldn’t pass up on that much power. Easy tune and you have a Kia stinger.

I sold mine for a mazda 3 to get me through grad school because my turbos and transfer case didnt go out during my warranty and I didnt wanna shill out like $10k to fix em when they would blow up. It was definitely my favorite car to date but it was time for it to go haha
@@WhaddupImJohn That is definitely a lot of money to dish out to have a car fixed for sure. I currently have a extended warranty and I’m hoping that it’ll last me another year or two I can’t remember how many miles I got it up for but so far I’ve used it a couple times for things and it’s done pretty well
@@ccleveland0416 yeah mine paid for itself like 3 times. My water pump went out and then the belt tensioner and a few other things. If you buy one there are things to look for in the service history
I looked at the Fusion Sport before buying my 335 M-Sport. Found a great deal so I jumped on the 335, otherwise the sport is pretty nice.
The guy in canadas company is jma racing made the front upper and lower grille, mirror caps and spoiler extension if anyone is wondering lol there not custom just for his car

I bought my 18 Sport new in 2018 and only have 26,000 Kilometers on it, mainly thanks to a short trip to work (10 minutes, city), and of course, Covid (worked from home for 2 years). ROFL, the plates on my old 99 Mustang GT read 1SLOWGT, and I put V6 badges on the sides, a Nissan GT-R badge on back, and V6 rear bumper...and a Vortech supercharger.
Was at a fast food restaurant drive through in CT. today and there was a Ford that was lowered and had an exhaust on it. I didn't know what model car it was,. It wasn't the obvious Mustang, Focus, or Fiesta. Then I get home and this video was in my notifications. Honestly a Ford fusion is probably the last car I would of thought of modifying. But there's obviously a few of them out there.
honestly modifying my fusion sport (thats mine in this video) has been unique. a lot of people have asked why modify a fusion and well its really what i can afford right now. I figured since i drive a good bit for work then i need something that gets ok gas mileage so a fusion fitted the category. id love a 5.0 mustang for sure but they get like 16-18 mpg so thats not good for me lol. There are a few other highly decked out fusions that actually looks good which is suprising

I have a 5.0 and get exactly what you said for MPG. But it's not my daily. Fortunate to have a company vehicle.

I wish I could afford a 5.0 mustang to be honest with you because I feel like they have so much more customization but since the fusion sport is decently fast and it gets OK gas mileage I figured I would stay with this for a couple of years

@@ZiggyGood I can't speak for them but i owned a 2017 for 5 years before I bought my second, the sport. Only had an O2 sensor go out so far in the first one, currently at 141k miles.

Sounds good man!! I’ve got a 2017 Lincoln MKZ with the 3.0 and I’m wanting to make mine sound just like that, what’s your exhaust setup? From what I understand the 2.7 and 3.0 are quite similar engine and exhaust wise.
They are, some of us have even swapped 3.0s into our fusion sports. A common upgrade is the turbos off the MKZ on our sports. Borla axle back and down pipes will do it.
I have a 17 fusion sport. It’s a really good driving and performing car. What holds it back is the awful 6f55 trans. It’s always shifting weird to where I think it’s gonna take a crap. Must be stout enough tho, Its held up for 113k in my case.

I have a fusion sport as well and have loved it! I unfortunately have been incredibly unfortunate in regards of maintenence on it though. It's bone stock, but boy has everything that could go wrong with it, has gone wrong at some point. I think I just happened to get that one shitty one in the batch, but it truly is a fun car. Most people think it's grandma's grocery getter until you launch from the light and beat them/or atleast keep up🤣
I was definitely surprised with the power of the sport! I knew that twin turbo v6 had to pull pretty good going by the power figures. But yeah cool car for sure!! 🙂
Yeah I work for a major rental car company and we get all kinds of cars in different trim levels and we had a couple of these Sport Fusion's with AWD that came in from other states and they had all sorts of issues, including turbo failures. Not bad cars except I feel they werent the most reliable.

I’m kinda disappointed that Ford for the North American discontinued Fusion Sedans instead of focusing on stupid trucks and pick ups only for the Ford line up.
Not everyone wants a SUV or Pick up vehicle.

I had the 2008 Fusion 3.0 V6 I used to killlll other cars. Thats over 200 horsepower and almost 200 pounds of torque for that mid size car. That cyclone 3.5v6 Ford has is legendary
