I really hate that Ford discontinued sedans rather than perfecting them. It still gives me hope since they’re still using modular platforms.
I have a 2019 Ford Fusion Sport. I have replaced the turbos, intercooler, intake, BOV, down pipe, exhaust and tune. Like several others on TH-cam mine can keep up/beat many muscles cars. I smoke Mustangs and Camaros and a few weeks ago ripped a C7 Vette light to light twice. The dude asked if I had nitrous in there. A few dollars in a fusion and you have a killer sleeper. It’s a lot of fun. Steeda makes sway bars for the front and rear, lowering springs, subframe connectors, strut, tower brace, the market is bigger than most people think.
Have you done any work with the motor and trans because mine just has a cold air intake and a 93 livernois tune and was wondering how fast you be running now??
The 6 speed automatic in the Fusion Sport is really hit or miss unfortunately from a roll. It doesn't downshift when it should sometimes, and stays in too high of a gear. One of the worst things about the Fusion Sport. I hope a tune can fix this problem when my warranty is up.

The end result of this race was pretty obvious before the two cars even lined up. When you have 120 foot pounds of torque more from a dig it’s a no brainer.

@Pixel XL not against the fusion sport. Stock fusion sport 0-60 is 5.1 sec. Stock Charger 5.7 is 5.6. The charger is heavier and is rwd. I do agree that would have been the better race.
@Troy Espinoza Your numbers are way off. A 375hp 8 Speed Charger R/T is rated at 4.8 - 5.1 seconds to 60 and 13.4 in the 1/4 at 107mph. It appears you've looked up the old ones. Past 60, it would walk away easy.
@Pixel XL I have a fusion sport. Before I installed a tune and some upgraded bolt on parts, I raced several 5.7 hemi challenger/ chargers. Those were probably all 2019 and older models. I walked everyone of those, especially the older models. Thus, the dilemma with our opposing views. Apparently the newer 5.7s are faster. So, that would be a different race. With the way my car is set up now, my 0-60 is mid to low 4s with mid to low 12s 1/4 mile times. It's not too bad. Once my kids are grown, I may purchase something more formidable for racing.
I would expect the 4800 lb F150 Crew Cab 4wd with that 2.7 Ecoboost to outrun that Charger almost certainly in an 1/8th and very likely in a 1/4. They run really good, better than anyone would expect.

I Love the Fusion sport! I have a 19 and man it flys!! Mine is tuned and upgraded my turbos and I can definitely compete with scats, SS Camaros and 5.0 mustangs.

I just done my fastest test hit tonight in my 2015 Ford Fusion 1.5 turbo. Racechip GTS Black tune, running 93 with custom aftermarket setup. but ran 0-60 @6.5sec tonight on late night hits with AIT @ -4 Celsius. after breaking traction smoking tires for little over 1sec. And bouncing from torque. And they say it can’t be fast..proved that wrong🏎💨 need to get my tires to hook better now. I could use that time the tires are smoking. Any advice?? underdog mentality 🐺💪🏾😤

i swear these new fusions can almost take an R/T if not already🤣 Was transporting a newer fusion, ran into an rt in traffic and he just kept doing fly bys, he was scared to line up🤣 i think it would’ve took him in a drag race
Not surprised at all and it didnt even seem like when Sam was driving the Fusion he was pushing it that hard. Didnt seem like he was full throttle until halfway thru tge race. When the other guy drove it it pulled like a bat outta hell. But the fusion is 200lbs lighter with more horsepower, way more torque and AWD the outcome was expected.
Dodges v6 is “ok” but I had an 18 challenger SXT and that thing couldn’t get out of its own way. 😂 i don’t miss the horrible v6 noises either but it worked great for a winter beater / commuter car though.
That V6 is no slouch I have no idea what you’re talking about. I remember my mother having her 17 Chrysler 200 S Awd before she bought a Stelvio. That car was quick and almost sounded like a Maserati V6 when manually shifting and changing the exhaust system. But I know Chrysler was mostly focusing on long-term reliability for the 3.6, compared to the previous motors (3.5,3.7, and 4.0) the 3.6 has faired well over its lifetime.

V6 chargers have absolutely NO chance against my sonata 2.0t with a JB4, and not even stock. It's just a waste of gas running these v6 chargers at this point...
@@TheRealStevenSeagals here in Ontario Canada they are all V6’s or at least the ones I’ve seen. They are the SXT models. I believe its to save gas as they are always driving around.
My family is originally from Canada Calgary to be specific, and I have a brother that lives there now. My guess as to why they would pick the V6 is cause that's the only AWD charger offered, and RWD cars are almost useless on ice and snow
It would be a more competitive match against a modded V6 Challenger or charger, I have a heavy modded N/A Challenger that run med 13 sec 1/4 mile, with my car this race would have come out a lot different, big up to the turbo charge fusion it a quick car

What’s wrong with the Fusion’s transmission tuning? Sounds like it shifts too early or constantly slips the torque converter.
The torque converter locks mid 3rd gear which makes it sound like it's bogging.

Fusion has been discontinued, so sticker price doesn't even factor in here.

I've pulled on a v6 charger easy with my stage 1 civic. Shouldve used the rt
I've seen a stock civic SI absolutely annihilate a v6 charger from both a dig & roll after seeing them run it several times. SI has I think less than 200hp LMAO
V6 chargers have absolutely NO chance against my sonata 2.0t with a JB4, and not even stock. It's just a waste of gas running these v6 chargers at this point...
so you're telling me if a Police Charger is in pursuit of a Ford Fusion or even a Type R (all stock), they will get outrun by them?

@@TheRealStevenSeagals here in Ontario Canada they are all V6’s or at least the ones I’ve seen. They are the SXT models. I believe its to save gas as they are always driving around.
My family is originally from Canada Calgary to be specific, and I have a brother that lives there now. My guess as to why they would pick the V6 is cause that's the only AWD charger offered, and RWD cars are almost useless on ice and snow

It would be a more competitive match against a modded V6 Challenger or charger, I have a heavy modded N/A Challenger that run med 13 sec 1/4 mile, with my car this race would have come out a lot different, big up to the turbo charge fusion it a quick car
The fusions run mid to low 13’s stock.

@@randellgribben9772 right that's what I said , a stock Challenger had 305 HP to the crank and right 4000 lb, N/A a stock fusion which is about 200 lb lighter and has about 25 to 30 more horsepower, and turbo charged, clearly is the faster car right off the back stock for stock, so the Challenger or charger need to be, modded in N/A form not supercharged, to get the same numbers so the race could be more competitive,
