I saw a debate on the senate floor about this. The ATF got caught making a “ Law” when they have zero authority to do so.
It's a dog and pony show. They did the same thing about the pistol brace. The house pointing out exactly why the pistol brace ban is wrong but yet nothing will happen to stop it. The government is playing us. The left and the right. We are the modern day slave funding our own tyranny. Unfortunately, too many don't realize it. That is by design.

Simply having that information constitutes as search of your private property.. and without a warrant or your permission that would be a violation of the 4th Amendment.

The atf actually does decide what constitutes an automatic trigger, an sbr, a legal suppressor and many other perameters. Just saying they don't get to decide is wrong and lands people in jail. The laws are already on the books, the atf interprets them and categorizes them. Then, enforces them.

The ATF has no legal power to make or enact ANY law....only a state or federal legislature can do that. they make up rules but rules are not law !!!

In theory what you say it true. In actual practice it does not work that way. Bureaucrats are handed down laws for example obamacare when it was passed was 2300 pages. It was handed down to the bureaucrats who are given authority to fill in law where needed. It is over 20 thousand pages now of LAWS. The items these agents are talking about, have been made illegal by the ATF. It is a felony and carries fines and/or imprisonment. You will be prosecuted in a court of ''LAW''. Just saying it's a rule, when your ass in prison for years doesn't much matter at that point. Our government is broken, we the people have allowed unelected people to create and enforce laws. It allows them to not have to take responsibility for a lot of really bad law/rules to imprison us with.

Basically the ATF is acting like the supreme court and "re-interupting" existing laws, definitions, terms, etc. Is this legal, well currently but it certainly should not be.

The key here is to have a strong and intelligent citizenry who plays them off against each other, instead of being a biased simp. I liked you added in the cycle of operations part, too many people are clueless how guns mechanically function. Understanding what a FRT does helps, all it does is take the reset slack out of the trigger for you. This is really only valuable to a more advanced shooter but in no way should be restricted from the average citizen to own. Faster trigger reset and taking the slack out quicker and consistently helps get a more uniformed trigger pull keeping shots on target which I’d argue is a safety feature if anything. Better accuracy is a good thing.

My trash man comes around every week to collect items from me, never have they worn body armor to do their job. Why are these folks from the ATF so scared that they would come to me prepared for a fight? When the uprising begins to move to the next level or two, these low level “agents” will be the first to realize they made poor career choices. You never know when the ATF is showing up to enforce crosswalk violations or are there to try to enforce voluntary compliance of a non law. Quite a range of responsibility.

As an ex-LEO, it amazes me that they would even send agents/officers out to attempt to seize private property from anyone, especially without a legal warrant to do so. How the ATF came across the concept that they could simply create laws as to what is or is not legal, likely stems from the FBI and DOJ taking such liberties of just making up or changing laws on their one volition.
The only time I ever made contact with someone, other than exigent circumstances, would be with a warrant already in hand, or if it's just to do contact to find possible witnesses or a complainant. I admit there's nothing illegal in asking someone questions, so long as it's not related to try an incriminate them in a possible crime, or tie them to an incident as a possible suspect. It's completely different if you're talking with a person about being a possible witness, or even a victim, and they make a spontaneous statement admitting to a possible criminal act. That means stopping the conversation at that point and go through the process of a suspect contact, with notification of the offense(s) suspected of and their rights advisement. These days, that practice seems to have gone to the wayside, especially for our federal law enforcement and judicial agencies.
So essentially you're saying never talk to police because you may inadvertantly admit to a crime you didn't commit.

I saw either this or a similar video a while ago. The main thing that bothers me is, since when does the ATF create laws? They are law enforcement. This would be like the EPA deciding you may no longer own a gas fueled vehicle.
