    My Method:
    1. Clean the PC.
    2. Re-route and manage cables using zip-ties.
    3. Replace the CPU cooler & case fans (preferably with ones that have LED lights)
You can find some on eBay for cheap.
    4. Take nice photos from every angle (with the PC turned on)
    5. Easy cash.

Hey bryan. I sell pc's in the £30-100 price point (core 2 duo, oem kinda builds) In the uk. Some weeks, I don't sell a single thing and I get pretty disheartened. And when I do, you seem to upload a new video and you instantly get me in a good mood and motivated again :D
And it's paid off. I can now invest in better hardware and I'm venturing into low to mid range gaming ready builds which is earning me some okay kinda money. And building custom machines is way more fun!
Just wanted to say thanks for the videos man, you've kept me company when im stuck with a dell inspiron 530 that won't accept any brand of ram. You were there when yet another hipro oem psu took out a perfectly working motherboard at 2 am. It's not an easy trade but you help me to realise that it's not just me that has a bad day or a machine thats hard to sell.

Also something unmentioned in this video of which you generally do cover anyways is cleaning up dusty/dirty fan, grills and filters as they do tend to need some extra time focused on them.
Filters, a trick I use when it's warmer and if they're in a bad way. Instead of sending dust everywhere if you are in an enclosed space or have no proper ventilation is to run the filter/grill under a shower head, get all that gunk off and then let it sit out and dry. If you're impatient or it's not warm enough to air dry then use a towel and the vac to give it a quick dry.
It might be great to make a serious of episodes of the step by steps in cleaning/tackling dirty computers. You got a lot of videos showing this anyways, but if someone is looking for how to clean a particular piece and with what, they can just head off straight to your serious on cleaning PC parts and cases and pick that video/episode and be sorted? You could also try and use other things, stuff that may work just as well as the stuff you usually use, as some people may not have access to particular things. Dos and Donts of cleaning up, what to use to clean up a monitor, an acrylic or glass case, Etc.
Not a go at your work, I actually wanted to launch a TH-cam channel in the UK based on what I came across with your channel, as we got nothing like this here, it's all either high end stuff, or they touch a bit on the 2nd hand market but then play some ancient games that haven't been popular in 10-15 years or simply fabricate the numbers that they got their hardware for. Not managed to get it off the ground, single father and all but you're an inspiration that is really needed in this community. Sharing the knowledge and learning together.

The market is fickle and most people ask way over the value and either don't understand depreciation or want to scam a quick buck.
I build my own systems and rarely sell them or even parts as I mostly hoard them to my parts bins.

Set your price right: I look at builds here for sale and think "that's £150 over what it's worth" so I don't bother even msging as no one is going to dump £150 off a £400 price tag. In UK is 2nd hand "gaming PCs" and even components (like the 570) are massively (in my area perhaps) overpriced for what they are. Its almost retail prices for OLD second hand where a 2400g system could be built for the same and get the same performance.

One thing that caught me by surprise is, that many people actually look for old Stuff like XP Systems... after investigating a bit, I found out that the reason for this is some specialized Hardware relying on RS-82 connectors as well as some Programs which used to by buy-to-own have become subscription based (for a hefty price).
As for offering warranty: Forget it if you're in Germany... I don't offer it, people still keep coming to me saying the Hardrives, GPU etc. were faulty and guess what, not in a single instance did the Serials match.
At the same time, lots of people here try to rip others off with "untested" stuff etc. I sold someone a bunch of defect HDD he wanted for Magnets... 2 days later he put them online as untested for 10x the price. Same storys with GPUs (I don't bother with baking etc.)...
The most important advice I can give people trying to get into PC Flipping: When buying stuff, no deal is better than a bad one. Lots of adds with meh prices are literally screaming "PLEASE BUY THIS CRAP - I CAN'T LOWER THE PRICE ANYMORE OR I MAKE MINUS"... and guess what, those adds remain online forever.
Personally, I only go for offers people make at prices I wouldn't dare ask for, but I'm also fair enough to not try lowering the price any more even if they write it's negotiable.

Giving guarantee on a PC is too risky for me, I offer 3 months of help and repair should something fail. Sounds similar, but I think there's a big difference in how people interpret that, people tend to get bitchy easier when it's a "guarantee" and message you for the smallest hiccup cause hey, it's under guarantee.
I realized that of the 4 PCs I'm having for sale right now none of them are selling because people haven't received their holiday pay yet! In Austria you get paid double twice a year, in summer and before christmas, that's when business is usually much stronger.

I once had to swap out a Cooler Master masterbox lite 5 because the acrylic side panel had a 4cm crack and the PC just would not sell with it. I just spent a fair bit (even though it was the cheapest "good") on 1.5g of Prolimatech PK-2, as I'm upgrading a laptop from Celeron T1600 to Core 2, and given the small contact area of the open core and the limitations of the cooling solution, decided I wanted a really good transfer (well this side of going LM).
My previous 5g of decent stuff had gone rather solid, and while I got a bit out after dumping the stodge, it ran out for my last one, so I had to fit my decent LGA1155 heatsink using the packet of Silmore that it came with -- mmm, salad cream

On 7870 I managed to get another screw on it and was 10 degrees cooler! Phew!
But the 1080ti... Was racing to 80 90 degreess with three screws and then underclocked... i managed to force another screw im and then it blew up my 650w coraair psu!
So i sold the 1080ti and getting an old pc today to see if its psu will get my old pc working again!

Please thread and tighten those screws by hand, they should have springs on the back and meet a stop at some point.
You'll want to get all four screws started just a few turns, then tighten them a little more ( like half way ) one at a time before going around again for the final bit when they meet the stop.
The crazy temperatures with only three screws is because the cooler was uneven on the die and not making complete contact. Overtightening and missing screws risks damaging the PCB or substrate under the chip where the two are soldered together.
Make sure you're applying enough thermal paste as well.

@@zcomputerwiz thanks! I got a new psu but turns out the problem was the aio water cooling had leaked. That might be a coincidence or due to overheating 1080ti!
Do you know if you can reseal an aio water cooler with duct or gorilla tape or should I just replace with an air cooler and be safe!

The motherboard is more than likely only designed for 25 Watt power draw from the PCI-e slot which would make many GPUs incompatible do look into this when buying OEM systems

If that was simply the case they sell x16 riser cables with Molex powered connection for five dollars. Don’t use on high bandwidth cards like Fury series (they work, but not max overclock, and you’ll end up with 7 layers of aluminum foil wrapped around it to get it to work and not randomly shutdown your crossfire configuration... It did keep it cooler spacing it outside the case, but it’s obvious why shielded metal cables are necessary. You’ve got a ton of wires packed next to each other acting like dipole antennas, and these cables are worse than IDE ribbon cables (which were rated to 3ft max runs), because these are 2 layers (front side/back side), and unlike IDE (best I’ve benched out of IDE was 1.5 MB/s, GPUs are in the GB/s, well in the 10’s of thousands of times more data throughout).
But, for 300 GB/s memory cards and below like GTX 1070 and RX 590, it will probably work fine (Vega VII would probably never work)

Um hello, I know this might seem like a really dumb question but is there a specific type of cloth used for wiping the PC components? Just trying to wipe the GPU can be a b*tch when it comes to all those pins getting stuck on the cloth.

Should of just put all the parts up on ebay and been done. Give it till Sunday and then Ill just cut my losses and part it all out.
