I was there, too. 21 years old, in the USAF stationed at RAF Bentwaters. Bunch of us hired a bus and went. Glad I didn't need to drive after that.

I turned 64 last week and boy does this bring back memories, I was fortunate enough to be there in Oakland on 7/24/77, it was the last U.S. show they ever did because Robert's son died a couple days later and they canceled the rest of the 77 tour. Zep was and still is a big part of my life, there has never been and never will be another band like them.
I was there too! I grew up in Castro Valley. What a day!
@@jaybee1597 We got there the night before and spent the night in line outside the Coliseum, that was just to get into the parking lot, not the stadium itself, Oakland was a little better then and you cold do that!

This band was amazingly incredible live, they had the ability to play anything, from the simplest to the most complexed. Just 4 guys on stage killing it!!!

Bonham's technique is just amazing. And some of the bass fills are incredible!

I used to be a big Pink Floyd fan, still am to be honest, but Led Zeppelin changed my musical tastes drastically. Their songs are so complete and the music so powerful that you can't listen to other bands anymore with the same love. Every other band lacks something compared to LZ. Even Pink Floyd sounds so emo.

Very sloppy performance of Page, but he can get away with it. Still prefer this over today's shit music.

I love this video so much, they look like they're having so much fun, I love Jimmy's solo, I love bonham's drumming, Jones's bass work, and the fact that when Robert lost his range, instead of trying and failing to be What he used to be like most singers would, he instead made his new style work for him. I love it.

There were two Knebworth Concerts, the second one they were drunk on. The first one was just pretty standard led zeppelin, which is good.
It seems like Robert pretended to forget to say "time" at the end to see what would happen and Bonzo was like "Fuck it, here comes the drum outro anyway."
I think they were both waiting for each other. Cool moment

I only saw LZ once, back during the release of PG and this is the song they led off with. Loudest concert I ever attended.
One of my favorite versions, the no nonsense playing and Robert's grittier approach to the vocals lend themselves well to the musical climate at the time, notably punk rock.
I was there for both weekends, what memories!!! best live gig i ever went to, some of the guys i was with have now passed away & i will always cherish our time there on those hot summer nights, RIP GUYS Deano, Steve & Tony.
