- A documentary film about Lance J Christie, a former member of the Exclusive Brethren Church who has blown the whistle on the coercive strategies of control they use to entrap victims.
Free Indeed is a documentary telling the story of Lance's excommunication from the Exclusive Brethren and his subsequent total separation from his family, friends and business. Lance was shunned in 2017 and has since been shining a light on the nefarious tactics that are sadly used to coerce and control the lives of thousands of innocent victims still afraid to speak out for fear of the same depriving treatment that Lance has been subject to.

What a man! A true follower of Christ
Thank you for your story! It’s very brave and courageous and the Lord helped you relay what you needed to! It’s very helpful for those that don’t know they are in spiritual bondage or they have left and need to hear others testimonies. I sure needed to hear these stories coming out of the Two By Two cult.. very similar to the Exclusive Brethren. Here I was brainwashed to think everyone outside of “The Way” was from the devil. Very judgmental and self righteous but dead in our own sin.. and they don’t believe that Jesus is God. Nor do they believe that we are saved by grace through faith as the Bible states very clearly! I remember the moment I finally understood the gospel and I wept!!! Thank you God!!! ✝️🥰💞💞💞

They do not like people who can think for themselves. Lovely man indeed. Where are human rights groups when you need them? Isn't there any help at all out there to investigate these leaders who break up families? This world is certainly an unfair place!
May God bless you for being so honest ..we are all sinners and through the Lord Jesus we can be free. How hard and sad that your family all remain in the Brethren. I grew up in the Open Brethren but although quite strict my parents loved the Lord and like your Father they ran the race and finished well.. BUt my Mum had relatives with Plymouth B who did cut themselves off from others..sad

Thanks for sharing your story. My mom left the peebs in the late 60s so thankfully I was never trapped there. I hope more find their way out.
My School friend went through the separation nonsense in 1959 and left becoming separated from his parents but years later became reconciled again. I was brought up in the open assemblies of South Wales and the Midlands but never experienced the restrictions that my friend did. I was born into the open Brethren and now at 81 I still attend an Evangelical Church in Nottingham which roots are from 1931 as open Brethren.

I was born into a very secretive sect called The Two By Twos. I thought I was God’s chosen child within a very legalistic system. I was always confused, lonely and depressed. But never held it to the fact I was in a cult.
