Please, lower the volume on the music and raise the volume on your voice. It’s very annoying to keep stopping the video to turn the video up to hear what you are saying and then stop it again to keep from blasting my eardrums out before I can turn it down. Thanks.

That trail is treacherous. But hikers do it regularly. Most start it, then turn back, because the top is creepy steep.
It looks it, back in my younger years I would of hit it for sure. Now that I am a bit wiser and a drone flyer I know you get a much better view with a drone lol.

During Covid-19 lockdown I have enjoyed watching your vids....yesterday I flew a drone for the first time...what a beauty the Mavic Mini is, I've been flying RC planes for years, the Mini is so easy and fun, the footage is impressive.....It's the best thing I've ever bought.....So glad I live a little village so I can walk out the back door and just fly away! I just got cleared from our Covid 19 scare we are clean. 4 days in the house with a kid 104degree fevers. The flu is out there too. He did not get a flu shot at 26 I can’t help stupid.
I am out of lockdown. My son had a 104 degree fever and Covid 19 symptoms We are cleared for now

@@DadRandom Yeah. I put the first one on my channel that I edited with the go fly app, and I'm currently uploading the 2nd flight I pulled directly from the mini's sd card.
Absolutely astonishing
I've only had my Mini for about 6 weeks and little by little I keep pushing the envelope. When I saw this video last month it gave me the idea to try to fly up to the top of a high peak where I live. So today I grew a pair and decided to go for it. Mini made the flight flawlessly. I went up 792 feet to the top but I kept the Mini close to the peaks side as I ascended like you did. I've been using the antenna boosters which have really made a big difference.

Rain Bitcoins it is a capable drone with a better than average camera. Just stay out of high winds
Only concern I have (and one that I find extremely hard rule to follow) is that in the US you must have unassisted visual line of sight of the drone. The mavic mini is tiny and 200ft up is hard to 600ft out is impossible to see, so traveling half a mile out isn't doable with visual line of sight.
Any drone pilot who flys at dusk, flys when it’s cloudy or flys in big cities around tall buildings may be flying with massive line of site impairments. Flying in areas where you have clear site lines for over 10 miles allows pilots to see other aircraft. We need to see other aircraft more than our little spec in the sky. We must yield to others. Visual observers are helpful too in seeing other aircraft. I never fly in areas where there are active aircraft / helicopters or any other drones for that matter. Great discussion. 🤓
I have to agree with Demonlord, which sounds weird lol, but the law on VLOS is very clear. There are no exceptions to it. I find it difficult to keep within VLOS myself, but I won't be making a video as blatant as this. These are fun to watch, but the thought of hundreds of people taking their drones up this high and this far away is scary. You are putting people at risk and the pilot at risk of losing his drone. The argument that everyone else does it, won't hold up when something bad happens.
Great demonstration. Imagine what we'd have if DJI came out with a 4k mini (with a 30 minute battery life as a bonus)????!!!!

Anytime I fly these routes I am in complete focus. You need to stay calm and have a flight plan an stay to it.

I like the way you did this by climbing the face of the mountain. You never got above 400ft and still were able to test the mini. I saw a guy on level ground take one to 500 meters. That’s 1640-Ish feet.
In a flat field that makes it a bit difficult to stay legal.
I’ve got a few places here that are 12k feet above sea level. I’m a bit curious what it would do.

Mountain climbing is more legal but not really LOS. 🤓 put a spotter on top of the mountain
Well, I know that but open-source firmware like Betaflight for flight controllers does not have limits like DJI limits. That is useful for mountains, etc.

I can do It that way. Age matters. Younger people like music, older people do not. Can’t make everyone happy. Someone is always wanting something. This specific video could easily been video only. I think I screwed up. So, I agree with your comments..

Great video, beautiful place. I do have one small complaint, it's the music, in order to hear your comments I had to turn the volume up, then the music was way too loud, so volume back down until you started talking again then volume back up. Had to do that all through the video. It is a very good video though, really beautiful.
I have been breaking some of my rules lately. I usually leave the music to the very end and at the very beginning. I know many of us have ambient hearing issues. I just fixed my voice audio issues i was having. Now I need to cut the mid range music out. Thanks for the response.

Excellent. I just bought my Mavic Mini last week and still have not taken it out of the box. I'm watching as many videos as I can plus the weather here in Hawaii has been rainy and very very windy.
Best way to learn is by experience. Get that drone out of the box. 🙃 Fly it and discovery learn. 🤓

Great video. I uploaded a 500-meter video going through clouds which triggered some people, but here in Canada this particular drone is not regulated so I guess we are lucky for now but I'm sure they will change it soon enough anyway. I subbed, keep up the great Vids
Even though it isn’t regulated there is still a max height you can fly any drone. (There are settings you can change, but there is a change you are breaking the law without knowing)
Buzz the drone is 100% correct on this. The limit is the limit no matter what size the drone is.
I won't mention any names, but there is an idiot drone flyer in Canada that is bragging about his 500 meter flight that is going to ruin it for everyone else!!!!

Mini is an easy to transport no brainer drone to bring everywhere. It will sell by the thousands. Maybe a million units or more worldwide.

The gimbal glitch is a result of the tilt of the Mavic mini and the gimbal not being able to compensate or move any farther up.

Great video. At 6:30 it’s your white balance that changes. I don’t think you can lock WB in the Magic Mini but hopefully they can fix that with a software upgrade.
You can lock the exposure or EV and set the exposure basics. The filter really helps.

I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere in any of the Mavic Mini TH-cam videos I've watched that you MUST APPLY FOR DJI CARE REFRESH WITHIN 48 HOURS AFTER ACTIVATING YOUR DRONE! If you don't (I didn't), you'll have to apply and get accepted for after activation purchase. This requires that you make a video following strict guidelines showing various parts and aspects of your Mavic Mini. They provide you with a link to instructions and a video. It's additional insurance at a cost of $39 (US) that: "Provides two replacement units for a small additional charge in one year and covers a wide variety of accidents, giving you greater peace of mind."

I’m just a pube away from getting a mini. on the fence with dji spark or mini. The spark has obstacle avoidance which I really like, but distance and flight Time is doubled on mini. Probably goin with the mavic mini

This is why we need a higher max on our drones, there are some mountains that i want to fly up, but the max altitude is 1640.

I am worried about the 20 degree up angle in advanced mode. It kept dropping to 10 degrees + My guess is that it was creating room for the drone to move and compensate for it. Anyways it screwed up my video. My audio sucked too. I had to can my external audio. I just need to hang my mic on a lanyard. It picks
up the most sensitive noises. The Osmo Native Audio is what you hear. So disappointed in my sound right now.

I had to cut the audio down but the video was awesome.. music was too loud and you were too quite so I couldn't find a happy medium
