Gday Roscoe & daughter. How about some more details on the new motor? Our old Honda 20 hp pushes us along ok but your’s must just about fly. Went past the narrows yesterday on the Bethanga road and boy was the lake full of boats and folk enjoying their Christmas - great to see. Have a great new year.
Hi Jon, I put a speedo on my phone, and it got to 50kph, which is plenty quick enough to get around Lakes Hume and Dartmouth. Been out at Tallangatta 4 times this week and the high water has brought the people out, for sure. Will be putting a video out soon, plenty of redfin were caught.
@@FishtalkVideo G’day again mate, You’re not wrong about the readies. My son Phil & I went up the Murray a couple of k’s and did very nicely from the bank just using soft plastics. Lot of fun. Caught the biggest carp I’ve ever got about 5 metres out on the drag back & he took me further out into the lake than I could cast - the drag was screaming. Seemed to take forever to land it without a net & only using light gear… but I finally got him. Wow, talk about fun. Have to try again when the crowds dwindle. Thanks mate & have fun. Cheers.
Great Rossco. Nice to see your daughter out with you. Looks like she grew up knowing her way around a fishing rod. Awesome. Nice motor, hows the trolling speed with the 4 stroke? Looks like you'll have to get out more, wouldn't want to waste the investment :-) Life looks good mate. Cheers PP
She is a natural, PP. Doesn't get to fish very often, but can usually outfish the ol' man when we get out together. The motor has a trolling mode that can lock in speeds in 10 rpm increments from 700 rpm up. haven't tried it with fenders and leadline yet, but should be ok, as gps says it is travelling at 3 kph @ 700 rpm. Has a nice top speed of 50 kph.
Great video dad! Always love getting out on the boat with you ❤️
We always seem to find some fish when you're on board, Jemma!! A great day out.
Beautiful view and nice video 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice brother some good fish 🎣
Thank you, it is always fun chasing reddies.
Excellent.
Thanks Steve, cheers!
well done roscoe another good video, and i like the new motor
Thanks Darren, very happy with it so far. Can get 50 kph on the plane.
Lovely to see you fishing with one of your daughters.
....and she usually out-fishes me when we chase reddies. Always nice to get out with the kids, regardless of age!!

Readies are really readies. Damn. Got to switch this auto correct off.
@@FishtalkVideo 50kph hmm - I doubt my old Nissan fishing truck could keep up with that :-)
They can pull like a steam train, can't they? Glad you are getting among the reddies as well.
Great work mate Robbiefishing sent me
Thanks mate 😃
Congratulations on the new motor and well done to you and your daughter with the reddies. The cat will be well pleased.
Thanks Bill. It's the best fed cat in Tallangatta! I love the boat, so it made sense to me to keep the hull and upgrade the motor. Cheers 😊
