  • Part Two of our recent trip to Lake Dartmouth. After trolling for two hours with lures at various depths, we hit on the formula that would change the day: Worms behind fenders at 3-4 colours of leadline and off downriggers. A lot of small fish were landed, but the fun aspect was through the roof! Please subscribe and like the video below.

Thanks mate, It is likely that the lake will benefit from this high water for a while to come. The number of small fish indicates that there has been a successful breeding period, and there is plenty of tucker for them at the moment.

Our happy place, eh Darren? It's fishing well at the moment, but lots of small fish.

Nice guys. I'm jealous, a sunny day out fishing. We've been very wet every time we've been out up here. Good fishing though. Amazing how full everything is. I'd be curious for some smoker tips, need to get one to give it a run. Might make a whole video? Cheers PP

Was a lovely day, but as I write this, NE Victoria is very very wet! I'll keep a smoker video in mind, it's the best way to eat trout I think.

@@FishtalkVideo Looks horrendous mate, hope you are staying dry. A video would need recommendations of what to drink with it! PP

Hi Ross, do you happen to know what speed you're trolling at for the fender/worm rig. Thanks Craig

Mate, I'm not sure. I will put a GPS on it next time and let you know. The motor is a 60hp Mercury, and I use troll mode at the lowest setting (700 rpm). It is fast enough to get a good action from Tassie Devils.
