Thanks. I had P0506 code, and the car was stalling while breaking/slowing down. I cleaned the mass air flow sensor with electrical conductor cleaner, and I cleaned out the throttle body with a toothbrush and a rag. I erased the code and the car was running 100% with no engine stalling.

Any videos on replacing the throttle body on the maz3? I see nuff vids showing the cleaning which is helful but my electrical is bad on the Throttle body
Well I don’t have video but u can remove all the pipes connecting it and then connector on it and bolts should come off
My friend, I have a Mazda 3 2006 2.0 when I step on the gas and want to accelerate the engine I hear a knocking sound and sometimes the engine dies by itself without any reason when on AC or stationary conditions. Have you ever dealt with a similar case?
Did u clean out throttle body it could be clogged or dirty or bad start with cleaning it first
If this doesn't fix your Mazda3 it might be the fault I had with mine- two of the 4 cylinders had air leaks on the intake manifold. The garage replaced all 4 gaskets to be on the safe side. Car now runs like brand new!

I cleaned the throttle body as well as the mass air flow sensor and i put a new intake filter in, and it fixed the low/ruff idl right up

Not manifold I had one come in but never got parts out of stock back order
My MAZDA 3 had the same issue low rpm I kept stalling on every stops, the conclusion was I added an octane booster and use premium gas on my next fill up half way through the tank I had no more low rpm went back up to 800 rpm from 500rpm below. Oh, and my Mazda 3 hatch has 608k km on the engine

Do you have any idea where the idle air control sensor is on the 08 mazda 3?
It dosent have IAC this thorottle u see in this video is electrical so it works and acts as IAC coumputer can control the idle with it and same throttle is controlled with gas peddle.

My son has a 2004 mazda3 with 1.6 auto..installed a new drives side axel and now it's stalling while in gear.smooth while in park or neutral, could there be a connection to this problem?

Did you have to clamp some of the hoses to avoid coolant from spilling? I’m planning to try this, my 2010 Mazda 3 keeps stalling
No your not taking any coolant lines off only air lines so there’s no spills
Hey greetings man , I appreciate the help in advance I have a ‘11 Speed 3 with 181k miles. It just threw me a p050A code. I haven’t checked anything yet. When I turn it on in the mornings , like the muffler shakes and it can be felt in the cabin , if you stay still it’ll vibrate the seat a bit. When I am taking off the rpm’s are a bit low and when I drive it’s like they run higher then usual now , causing me to shift into next gear sooner then before. Any thoughts on what this could be? Again much appreciated for the help 🙏🏽🙏🏽
So much going on there well first u need to check wats shaking down there have some one start the car and see under there other than that u might wanna start with cleaning
I just bought a throttle body for my Mazda 3 I 2005 after checking battery, fuses and cleaning the MAF. Still had issues with acceleration/deceleration and stalling when idle. I think I had jumped the gun a bit in buying the TB. I have receipt and going to clean my current one first before replacing it with a brand new one. All the videos I have seen point to just “cleaning” it .
When is it appropriate to just “replace” it vs cleaning it? My Car has about 150k miles on it and also isn’t it “better” to take the entire TB out from car and cleaning it then just cleaning it installed ??
Clean it out first if there’s no change then might want to dig deeper check for codes and any other issue clean out MAF sensor also

Hey@@GodsFavourite2024! The car has been running great. What I ended up doing was in fact returning the TB that i had bought back for a refund. I ended up buying a throttle cleaner and cleaned the existing TB (it was clunked up). I Had to take one of the hose lines off (coolant) and i had plugged the tube so that it did not leak everywhere.
Once I cleaned it - i put every back how it was and then reset the codes based on manual steps i found online but it was not good enough. I had to reset it with one of those scan tools. Since cleaning it and resetting it, the check engine light has not come back and car is running great!

Please reply I’m looking for help and nobody has replied. I have a 2010 mazda 3. I had someone mess with my car and pour sugar down my gas tank. Got my fuel line and pump replaced but it’s kinda always ran a little different. I figure its usual wear and tear stuff especially since sugar had gone down it but after three months it gave out. I would have an occasional surge at 4K rpms on the freeway. Happens off and on. And yesterday it jus started up and died instantly. I’ve been told mass air flow sensor or fuel pump what does it sound like.
The idle is also very rough and will sometimes go up
Ok sounds like idle is not holding up try to push gaspeddle softly to keep it alive when this stall is occurring let me know what happnes u should be able to keep the car alive if it’s due to throttle issue let me know and get back to me. Also see if u can make a video that can show me lot

My Cas has been stalling / loosing rpm so drastic for two months now. It stalls at red lights or stops most of the cases, when I'm about high speeds it only make some kind of "kickbacks" loosing so much rpms. There are no either check engine lights or other lights. What can it be?
I have a Mazda 3 2011, 120K km now and it stills happening. It's more frequently at cold weather's during mornings.
Throttle systems was already cleaned, fluid transmission as well, but it keeps stalling.

What about ur idle speed at red light what is ur idle speed with car in gear and it’s nice and warm?

this is the dumbest most unsafe way to do it, yeah he has someone holding the gas pedal down but you have to start by undoing the neg battery cable, turn headlights on to drain electrical system then turn them off once lights go out. then unplug the sensor on side of throttle body (its tricky there’s a tab you have to hold on the side while pulling the red tab away from the sensor to unlock it) you can then move the butterfly plate by hand and use ONLY throttle body cleaner, NOT CARB CLEANER. make sure to wipe with a rag or clean thin towel and try not to let any crud seap down into the intake cuz you might clog it further down then you’ll have to take the coolant line off the TB and take apart your intake manifold to clean it all out- NOT EASY! this is the only way to move the throttle body plate without damaging the TPS sensor, TPS electric motor, or servo gears inside the TB. happy cleaning! if you do damage it, the new TB costs about $240 and to remove the coolant line you have to drain the coolant system so that coolant does fly everywhere like it did when i took mine apart😂😂😂

I have. 1999 Honda Accord and when I drive the car drives smooth but sometimes it takes time to catch up to speed and jumps but when I come to a stop sign or a red light the car tries to cut off o was wondering if I should clean my throttle to see if it would fix the problem
That has idle sensor u might have to clean or change that ... other stuff check ur engine mounts trans mount before ruling out transmission skipping
Check as well .. spark plugs, air filters, spark plugs coils, fuel pump filters
is the car on while pressing gas? also would this work for a bmw e90 2008 same problem?

Well u should clean it around 20-30k miles but this will help with low rpm but not high u might have to do idea relearn

@@RBTheMechanic yup... for example... im drving... and then I press the gas pedal... and sudenly when I take it off the RPM meter stays in 1,500.. and the car goes a little fast... it doesnt do the problem always but when it does I park aside the road... turn the car off... then turn on and goes normal..... sorry for my bad english... @@hamoud487 I cleaned mu throttle body and it fixed problem look up some video's on youtube how to clean electric throttle body I took mine out to do a cleaning #0000 stealwool and a brush and carb cleaner. Be careful with flap

@@RBTheMechanic yeah I installed a new battery in my brothers 2012 mazda 3 and i guess the computer had to learn the idle and clean the throttle rpms would read low and engine shaking

Idle speed is high drive it around for few days then reset the light it will adjust idle speed

You have Mazda 3? Well drive it wound safely it will relearn idle
Leave the car idling for 20 mins turn on the ac and leave it for another 20 mins the computer resets itself and it idles better bro

Hey! That same problem is happening to my Mazda right now. I did change the battery in december and I tried to "teach the computer" how to idle by starting the car and leave it running 20 minutes + 15 mins with full A/C and it kinda work during 1 week then it went back to 400-350 RPM and lights and fans dropping and Wheel light showing off on board at stop signs or red lights... sigh... I have to keep the pedal down to be sure it doesn't stall lol. I guess I will give RB's trick a try!

I put the bottle it in my car so I have it around when I'm ready to use it and guess what... when I started the car from the store I came back, no more weird iddle, no more lights/fans dimming, no more stalling at stop signs xD
The car was so scared I open it up it thought : no way! I PROMISSS I'll work fine!!!!!
