    How wonderful that people of Turkey are trusting, accommodating, friendly, helpful and hospitable. Inviting you to come to their place to have coffee or Tea, even you are strangers to him. Lovely Turk, he's a good grandpa.They are one of the nicest people in the world, well it's not everybody because there also some A$$ h0le there too. But the majority are one of the best people in the whole world. I have 3 Turk best friends and I love them all. Thank you for bringing us all in Turkey, I never been in Turkey but I love Turkey so much. Take care to all of you. I know this was a recorded videos but It is very entertaining.

    Hello - it’s Andrew by the way, I’ve just changed my name for a possible future project. This week I’ve resigned from work and so, like you, at the end of April I’ll be an early retiree (52) and ready to travel again. Meeting random locals is definitely one of the things I like - you see a much more authentic side to a country.

    • @aynurboyraz1752

      In Turkey people think after retirement you must stay at home and life nearly finishes. With these videos I feel hope for future for 50ties 60ties. It is nice to read people changing their minds about life.

    I think it was a very good decision to come to Eastern/southern Turkey. I have been working for more than 27 years now as an MD in humanitarian aid and what most journalists and their readers forget all the time is that all the persons within and on the fringe of a conflict zone feel very much abandonned and left alone by the world at large, while they fight to lead as normal lives as possible. Visiting them supports them and opens the eyes and hearts of the visitors and the visited. Thank you for opening our hearts and eyes through your wonderful reports and videos 🙂!

    Most of us really like UK and it's greenery that he was saying there isn't anything green here so not that much beautiful. However most probably we would struggle a lot during UK's winters and never ending rains😁
    During funerals it is a tradition to hand out food to everybody in the name of deceased person, like last good deed while they are departing. You would say ''Allah razı olsun'' while accepting it which means ''may God be pleased (with their deed)''. I think it is good for relatives as well because we can be very sad and refuse to eat especially during first days but when you know it is in their name you eat it for sure and pray for them..

    Thanks for another heart-warming video! The Tulip was actually originally a wild flower growing in Central Asia. It was first cultivated by the Turks as early as 1000AD and later brought to Anatolia. During the Ottoman Empire it become the main flower in palace gardens and also was a sought-after motive for tiles and various drawings. The name 'tulip' came from the Turkish word for turban. The flowers were introduced into Western Europe and the Netherlands in the late 16th century, probably by a biologist from Vienna. In the months of late 1636 to early 1637 there was a complete "Tulipomania" in the Netherlands. Some examples could cost more than a house in Amsterdam at this time.

    Wonderful video; what amazing people there are in Turkiye. It just goes to show how ignorant the world is. Well done for showing us this gorgeous region of Turkiye. The Tulip was the flower of the Ottomans- if you look at their porcelain designs you’ll see lots of tulip designs on them, in fact the logo for Turkiye on its adverts has the tulip. The cups we drink Turkish tea are a shape of a tulip. We introduced the tulip to Netherlands. Look forward to Gaziantep xxx

    There were (maybe still are) families in the region that have members permanently living in different sides of the border. Before the civil war in Syria, some arrangements were being made on Islamic holidays at some points on the border between neighboring villages of Syria and Turkey, so those families could celebrate together without dealing with the standart border passing procedures. It was one of the recurring happy news stories at Islamic holiday times.

    The Turkish guy in the field was telling that England is cold, but Green, look here is not 😂
    In Turkish funeral, it is a tradition to give guests food. People think this give the dead person extra point in after life. For me, it is an extra burden for the people mourning ..

    • @itrcanokaygun9637
      @itrcanokaygun9637 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The food is offered after the funeral when close relatives and friends come home of the deceased's family for more prayers. It's natural part of hospitality. But this food is usually brought there by neighbours and relatives not to burden the family....

    The east is under snowstorm now but I do not see any snow. How old these videos are? Where is the snow?

    • @randomdude8202
      @randomdude8202 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably two months old. They are probably back to England, or hired a flat to wait it out. I dont think it would be a good idea doing this in a snowstorm.

    We have been in that same spot! I am wondering about drones in turkey. Do you have trouble? License?

    • @TREADtheglobe
      @TREADtheglobe  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Craig - yes the laws are different for different sized drones - so under 250gm is ok but you still have to only fly in the areas permitted - any drone footage that is in an area not permitted we have purchased from a licensed drone pilot 👍
