@@FroggyStyle I used to have a ice flasher when I iced fished so it would pretty much be the same thing I would imagine. Would be able to see your jig and fish
@DaBaws yeah its just a suction cup mount. As long as you can stick it to something on the bottom should be fine. Just watch going over any structure or shallow water because it will knock it off.

Usually the fish show up as a upside down Nike symbol like a little ✔️. It is hard to tell rocks and brush and stuff but they look a bit more solid and like actual structure. Keep in mind it's just a tool. It's not actually seeing everything. Best thing to use it for is depth and structure. I'd say if you find some structure, cast. There is probably fish even if the fish finder can't see them.
How big is the battery slot inside the bag. Is it oversize? I’d like to put another battery in there I think is a bit larger than the one it comes with, I wonder if it’ll fit
Comes with a suction cup. I ran it under my dry box and just suction cupped it to the bottom once I was on the water. It's a big suction cup. It holds pretty well.

The fish usually show up as a little upside down check mark. The rocks and other things just look like blobs. Tree branches sometimes show up well. It's hard to tell with a cheap finder like this. Mostly used for depth and structure location.

You may be dealing with what I was. My striker 4 was stuck in demo mode and would never give me the signal from the sonar. I was about to trash the whole idea until I managed to turn off demo mode. So if anyone is having the same problem, Go in and turn off demo mode. Don't know why that wasn't in the instructions . Hope this might help.

Yeah its got battery and all it's equipment in there. Heavy enough to just sit where it needs to be

It's pretty snug but you could always keep it outside the bag and just hooked up once you're on the boat
