Is it possible to use it horizontally?

Hi Pimimo. the Striker 4 doesn't have a screen rotation. ITs meant to be viewed and mounted in that upright position.

Hey mate, what type of battery are you using?

    • @AdventurePrimal

Hey Champ. Im using a 12v 7ah battery. I must admit i didnt check the current draw of the unit to know if that sized battery would be suitable. Its certainly fine for the time I use it for.

@@OLDMANGAMING1970 thanks for the data. just checking the average draw figure. 23mA seems small. yes?

@@AdventurePrimal @Adventure Primal @Adventure Primal yes and almost any sized 12v battery will work.
To figure out how long it can run, take the batterys amp hour (Ah) rating and half it (full charge, you get about half the rated capacity).
For the 7Ah battery, call it 3.5Amps or 3500 mA.
If the average power draw is 23mA, let's double that to 50mA or 0.05Amps, double to account for extra power draw above average .
3500÷50 you'll run it for 70 hours no problem.
You can get cheap 10 watt, bendy and all in one solar kits on amazon/aliexpress for like $20, stick it as a lid for the battery and you'll never have to worry about charging.
Probably better off getting a 5-10Ah "LifePo4" pre-made 12v battery off ali express too, will be half the size and weight and last longer 👍
