Well the same people who ran Norwegian Air are back with a new airline Norse Atlantic airlines using the same planes. I think they started to fly this month transataltnic from Norway and are planning a return to the UK.

Once I started using Norwegian Air for my flights to Europe and back to America, I didn't think about it twice in making it my cross-Atlantic airline of choice. I love the price of their tickets, very friendly and professional cabin crew, clean and neat aircraft interior and good food. No other airline can beat Norwegian Air when it comes to price and service.
No they are not, just like all the rest of the major airlines around the world, they are under a chapter restructuring their finances and assets to overcome the Covid-19 world crisis. Which is something very different than bankruptcy.

I’ve enjoyed all of my flights on Norwegian. I travel from Oakland California to Copenhagen. As the economy section became more full with passengers over time, I started taking Premium. But, I bid for it, which is the cheapest way to go. I shouldn’t admit to it, because that’s my trick! 😜 The staff it very nice no matter where you sit.
Have to say from a Norwegian perspective the prices are actually cheap compared to what it cost in Norway. An americano coffee at Starbucks is around $6-7
I love Norwegians premium cabin. It’s premium Economy and not a business class for sure, but it is very comfortable, large seats and service if the crew fantastic. The Dreamliner is a dream to fly on. Nice and quiet
As a frequent LA to Paris and LA to London, Air Norwegian Business (or PE...whatever you call it) is all I use anymore. At 1/4 to 1/3 the price of British Airways Premium Economy, there’s just no comparison. The Air Norwegian seat is way bigger, great recline, and super comfy....easy to sleep all the way from LA. From someone who travels a lot, this is one of the best bargains in the air. (I have been on at least 14 such Air Norwegian flights, never late, great service).
I flew Norwegian in 2017 from Orlando to Gatwick and then in 2019 from Tampa to Gatwick. I loved the airline. For the price, you couldn’t beat it. Great cabin crew, quiet flights both times, both ways. I was economy, only complaint was leg room and I’m tall 5’3” 😂 It’s a shame that they stopped long haul service from the state with COVID because I would still fly them if they were in service here.
Wow, what a great value product! The seats appear nice, especially for Premium Economy standards, and it certainly looks like an affordable way to cross the Atlantic comfortably. Hopefully I'll be able to try out this product real soon! Great video as always! :D
I like this product. It's not BIZ class as in ETIHAD style but for the fare you have and the relatively short flight time EU-USA it's more than adequate! They got the most generous space in premium economy of all airlines. No limits on lounge access in the other locations as far as I know. The blanket is nice as well. Headphones are like for kids but who cares when you got your own BOSE. They use the Alitalia Lounge in NYC with loads of food and snacks. I stocked up a bit to have some extra snacks on the flight from NYC-LDN. In Oslo they use a new lounge in the newlyr enovated terminal. Word of warning though, if you purchase your ticket, like I did, Stockholm- NYC via OSLO, you only get lounge access in OSLO not Stockholm. But the fairs are lower when you use a transit like that so it equals out. Staff great on all flights i'v been on.

Helinton Yuzawa I just heard the news. I’m feeling a little optimistic about it. Also feeling very sorry for the airport crew! Brazilians aren’t ready for LCC yet! They expect too much for very little. The positive of this news is that Norwegian have lots of Brazilian pilots!
As a Norwegian it made me proud to watch this video. I have only tried this company once, due to the fact that i collect points from Star alliance. When i tried it in Norway it was clean and nice. I didnt look at the price so i dont know. It is a low cost carrier. The owner is always smiling and laughing on TV, and i met him once at a bar in Norway. He is just the same, the man was so nice, smiling and laughing all the time. He had a Visa/debet card he paid his drinks with that was Norwegian bank. On the front he had his photo, backside same thing. He was super cool and friendly. If it had not been for the points program i use, i would use his company.

I've only used Norwegian on shorter flights like from Trondheim - Oslo, where they offer great prices for people under 26 (£20). Also i used them when going to Spain last summer, and considering the price it's actually very good. I'd say the quality is more than you pay for, even tho the seats and interiour and all that isn't like Etihad class. Also the crew has always been nice and welcoming every time i've used them.
I've looked at Norwegian and their premium class doesn't cost much more than economy, so with meals and drinks included, plus the lounge (with more food and drinks included) bags, etc, it looks like well worth the cost
Josh....another great and honest review. Norwegian have a growing reputation here in Australia for their product and no wonder. I have flown Premium Economy with SQ from Melbourne to London and it was just ok. For 9 hours from Gatwick to Tampa I reckon I could handle it....about the same flight time from Melbourne to Singapore.....but another 12 and a half hours from Singapore to London....uughh!! Keep up the excellent flying reviews and I also think a toilet review is VERY important. As a regular long haul flyer its amazing how some 5 star airlines ( Cabin Crew) don't check the condition of the toilets on a regular basis! Dirty basins...water (or something else) on the floor etc. I always put my shoes back on when a toilet visit is required.....sadly its the same on some domestic flights down under!! Waiting for your next flight. By the way...with the menu selection on the screen they must have a huge galley on the 787!!!
Norwegian has just arrived to Argentina offering domestic flights - intl. destinations soon. My flight experience was pretty cool, the cabin crew was very kind and attentive as well. I'd just complain about the punctuality, since both of the flights I took (Mendoza - Buenos Aires - Mendoza) departed about 25 min. later than estimated.
I've been using Norwegian regularly for the past 12 months on their Singapore to Gatwick route. Gutted that they've decided to discontinue the route from 10 Jan 2019, in favour of a new route - Gatwick to Rio De Janeiro.
Was scheduled on Norwegian from TPA to London but covid killed that... If you're ever back in the US and want to try Allegiant I'll give you one of my employee buddy passes to non rev.
Norwegian air is very Low Carrier it has 2-2 configuration seats in business class and also premium economy class it has personal entertainment and soft drinks are required.
Norwegian flights from Gatwick to Florida do not offer business class seats or cabin. Only two cabins on the aircraft...economy and premium economy. This latter cabin does have slightly larger seats but that is the limit of ‘extras’. Headphones are cheap ear buds. Food is served in plastic wraps as in economy. Prices over the last six months have dramatically increased to the same level as the major airlines...no longer the incentive to book. My tip...compare carefully before bookin.
I'm Norwegian-Canadian, and really wanted to love this airline. First flight was JFK-OSL in maybe 2016. You get what you get for premium, but the airline could have done better. Their worst mistake in this development was to decrease wages and hire non-union international crew. This was done deliberately to discourage Norwegian flight crew from operating mainline international routes. I expected the food to be better.
I booked a flight from FLL to BCN and another flight (royal air maroc) from BCN to ACC scheduled for 3.75 hours later. The Norwegian flight was supposed too leave FLL at 11:50 pm. We left around 1:30 am. Okay cool. So it's expected that the pilot would make the time up while in the air. The flight was supposed to be 7 hrs 35 mins (23:50 to 14:25 on December 2017). Anyway, once in the air, the flight took almost 2 hours longer than it was supposed to. Instead of flying straight, the plan flew along the east coast of U.S. and every landmark passed (and not across the ocean). Not sure why. If the trip took 7.5 hours, we would have arrived at 4 pm (16:00). Instead, we arrived at 5:16 pm (17:16). Then, when we landed I tried to hurry and grab my bags. It took me almost 45 minutes to wait for my bag AFTER going through customs. There were more than 20 people complaining at the Norwegian customer desk. Many missed flights or missed their check in time. I filed a complaint, but the representative said they couldn't offer me anything, and that the flight was only 2.9 hours off schedule (of course they didn't mention the ridiculous amount of time it took them to find our bags). The flight has to be at least 5 hours late. I cried all that day sleeping in the airport in a foreign country, young lady by myself. I called Norwegian and they told me to go to the customer service representative at the airport. After standing in the long line at El Prat, the customer service representative showed me a form and told me to file a formal complaint with the airline. Anyway, I spent the night in Barcelona airport, sleeping on a bench in the check in area. I had to spend $700 on another flight as mine had already left. I'm glad I did, as I was going to visit my father and he passed away less than a week after I'd left. The 200 or 300 you save is not worth the risk unless you have a direct flight to your destination. Don't think 4, 6, 8 hours between is enough. With Norwegian, anything can happen. Your flight can go very well or very wrong. It's worth mentioning that I'd already booked a return flight with Norwegian and that flight was okay. But trust me,they don't give a crap about their customers. Even though the return flight was okay, the attendants were inconsiderate. They barely want to give you water. And when I asked about a purchase I was considering making, the attendant didn't mention that they were about to pass out food 2 seconds later. He waited until I purchased, brought out the free food to everyone, and then brought my sandwich later. After telling customer service I wouldn't fly again,the continued to bombard me with emails about new flights and deals. Are you serious?! You couldn't even give me a free flight, or a DISCOUNT on my next flight, or Free peanuts for my inconvenience? Nothing?! Delta, Emirates may be extra but it's worth it for the service that you get. P.s. even though they aren't supposed to, Royal Air let me keep my return flight from ACC even though I missed my departure flight. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE from Royal Air.
Unfortunately now Norwegian abolished Lounge access, and you pay any spirit. Just water and a few juices are free. But the comfort is good for the price. I flown Gatwick to Seattle in march 2019
Norwegian airways is pretty good for the price, but they get you to spend money. But a lot of the times there are delays and cancellations. Otherwise 10/10
I most likely will use Norwegian on my tour from Norway to Buenos Eires in Premium (since I have some 4000 NOK in bonus I want to use). Looking forward to it. It is not that much cheaper that other Premium Eco products (Air France is cheaper on the day I want to fly). But looking forward to it anyway... maybe I take the return flight from Rio (another Norwegian destination). Thanks for the report!
Norwegian Air looks like a decent LCC premium offering. Dare I say it that I prefer Air Asia X's premium angled lie flat hard product vs Norwegian? However, this is definitely a more cost effective and comfortable way to get from Europe to the US.
@@JoshCahill I'm going to be a little controversial, but Air Asia is moving from Melbourne Airport to Avalon Airport. It's an additional 40min drive (it's already going to take over an hour to get to Mel airport) and sadly this means that they will lose my custom. It means I have to fly MH, which is not a bad compromise. haha
Wanted to fly this airline after seeing your review. Planning on heading to Europe at the end of spring. Can't find any flights though, not sure if they stop flying after winter or something. At the moment looking at Condor for a non-stop from Las Vegas to Frankfurt.

Booked a flight from Newark to Rome. Norwegian emails me and says my return to Newark was delayed 3 days. Then they told me I had to go to the airport to cancel and get my money back. No wonder they’re on the verge of collapsing.

The windows on the 787 seem like more of a gimmick to me. Don't get me wrong, I love that they're larger but I've been on flights where they're difficult to use and the dimming gel never completely manages to block out the sun when I need it to.

What the do dah?! My husband and I decided to upgrade to premium while checking in but we didn’t get anything complimentary?? We flew economy on our first flight so we compared. All we got in premium was a bit more legroom, reclining chair and a free blanket so we didn’t think it was worth it. I’ll stay in economy in the future, great value.
I flew Norwegian SEA/LGW return in May 2018 in economy with paid meals. I only had two complaints: 1) both of my flights were between 90-120 minutes late departing; 2) on the outbound flight, the adult male passenger sitting behind me had two little girls who were very unruly, pulling/kicking my seatback and running up and down the aisle. Neither he nor any of the FAs did anything to quiet the girls down. Otherwise, the planes are clean, the service is good, economy seats are certainly more comfortable than other carriers I've flown, and the food wasn't too bad.

I'm flying from Tampa to Gatwick next year and currently have the bulkhead seat in Premium. I was wondering how much leg room it has, I'm 6'1 and need as much as I can get. Does the bulk head seat have more room than the others and how is the seat width?

Flew from Tampa to London on November 14th great deal on the ticket and the service was not bad, will be going back next January as well.
FYI bombay airport is the busiest airport with one operational runway. Though it has 2 of em but only one is used for operations

I booked a flight from FLL to BCN and another flight (royal air maroc) from BCN to ACC scheduled for 3.75 hours later. The Norwegian flight was supposed too leave FLL at 11:50 pm. We left around 1:30 am. Okay cool. So it's expected that the pilot would make the time up while in the air. The flight was supposed to be 7 hrs 35 mins (23:50 to 14:25 on December 2017). Anyway, once in the air, the flight took almost 2 hours longer than it was supposed to. Instead of flying straight, the plan flew along the east coast of U.S. and every landmark passed (and not across the ocean). Not sure why. If the trip took 7.5 hours, we would have arrived at 4 pm (16:00). Instead, we arrived at 5:16 pm (17:16).
Then, when we landed I tried to hurry and grab my bags. It took me almost 45 minutes to wait for my bag AFTER going through customs. There were more than 20 people complaining at the Norwegian customer desk. Many missed flights or missed their check in time. I filed a complaint, but the representative said they couldn't offer me anything, and that the flight was only 2.9 hours off schedule (of course they didn't mention the ridiculous amount of time it took them to find our bags). The flight has to be at least 5 hours late. I cried all that day sleeping in the airport in a foreign country, young lady by myself. I called Norwegian and they told me to go to the customer service representative at the airport. After standing in the long line at El Prat, the customer service representative showed me a form and told me to file a formal complaint with the airline.
Anyway, I spent the night in Barcelona airport, sleeping on a bench in the check in area. I had to spend $700 on another flight as mine had already left. I'm glad I did, as I was going to visit my father and he passed away less than a week after I'd left.
The 200 or 300 you save is not worth the risk unless you have a direct flight to your destination. Don't think 4, 6, 8 hours between is enough. With Norwegian, anything can happen. Your flight can go very well or very wrong. It's worth mentioning that I'd already booked a return flight with Norwegian and that flight was okay. But trust me,they don't give a crap about their customers. Even though the return flight was okay, the attendants were inconsiderate. They barely want to give you water. And when I asked about a purchase I was considering making, the attendant didn't mention that they were about to pass out food 2 seconds later. He waited until I purchased, brought out the free food to everyone, and then brought my sandwich later.
After telling customer service I wouldn't fly again,the continued to bombard me with emails about new flights and deals. Are you serious?! You couldn't even give me a free flight, or a DISCOUNT on my next flight, or Free peanuts for my inconvenience? Nothing?!
Delta, Emirates may be extra but it's worth it for the service that you get.
P.s. even though they aren't supposed to, Royal Air let me keep my return flight from ACC even though I missed my departure flight. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE from Royal Air.
Unfortunately now Norwegian abolished Lounge access, and you pay any spirit. Just water and a few juices are free. But the comfort is good for the price. I flown Gatwick to Seattle in march 2019

Norwegian airways is pretty good for the price, but they get you to spend money. But a lot of the times there are delays and cancellations. Otherwise 10/10

I most likely will use Norwegian on my tour from Norway to Buenos Eires in Premium (since I have some 4000 NOK in bonus I want to use). Looking forward to it. It is not that much cheaper that other Premium Eco products (Air France is cheaper on the day I want to fly). But looking forward to it anyway... maybe I take the return flight from Rio (another Norwegian destination). Thanks for the report!
I think the best way I can think of to describe these seats are old style business class. They days before lie flat became the norm.
On December 26th I'm going from Buenos Aires to Gatwick with Norwegian but on economy... I'll tell you how it went afterwards!

Norwegian Air looks like a decent LCC premium offering. Dare I say it that I prefer Air Asia X's premium angled lie flat hard product vs Norwegian? However, this is definitely a more cost effective and comfortable way to get from Europe to the US.

@@JoshCahill I'm going to be a little controversial, but Air Asia is moving from Melbourne Airport to Avalon Airport. It's an additional 40min drive (it's already going to take over an hour to get to Mel airport) and sadly this means that they will lose my custom. It means I have to fly MH, which is not a bad compromise. haha

Wanted to fly this airline after seeing your review. Planning on heading to Europe at the end of spring. Can't find any flights though, not sure if they stop flying after winter or something. At the moment looking at Condor for a non-stop from Las Vegas to Frankfurt.

Having seen both, and flown Norwegian Premium, I have to agree with Noel Phillips, the seat is not designed for people over 6 foot, 180 cos, tall.
Great commentary! I fly Norwegian Premium every time I can on long haul flights from Oakland. Curious on where you studied English, at times you almost have an Aussie pronunciation.

Booked a flight from Newark to Rome. Norwegian emails me and says my return to Newark was delayed 3 days. Then they told me I had to go to the airport to cancel and get my money back. No wonder they’re on the verge of collapsing.

The windows on the 787 seem like more of a gimmick to me. Don't get me wrong, I love that they're larger but I've been on flights where they're difficult to use and the dimming gel never completely manages to block out the sun when I need it to.

My husband and I decided to upgrade to premium while checking in but we didn’t get anything complimentary?? We flew economy on our first flight so we compared. All we got in premium was a bit more legroom, reclining chair and a free blanket so we didn’t think it was worth it. I’ll stay in economy in the future, great value.

I flew Norwegian SEA/LGW return in May 2018 in economy with paid meals. I only had two complaints: 1) both of my flights were between 90-120 minutes late departing; 2) on the outbound flight, the adult male passenger sitting behind me had two little girls who were very unruly, pulling/kicking my seatback and running up and down the aisle. Neither he nor any of the FAs did anything to quiet the girls down. Otherwise, the planes are clean, the service is good, economy seats are certainly more comfortable than other carriers I've flown, and the food wasn't too bad.

Ich bin 3mal mit Norwegian geflogen. Wie du gesagt hast eventuell neben kosten aber sonst super Produkt für einen sehr guten Preis. Ryanair müsste sich da mal etwas von abschneiden, die sind zwar auch günstig aber nach meinen Erfahrungen nicht mehr.....Und wieder well done
