    Let's be honest some PAs are very immature and show favoritism and area manipulation.

    • @justanotherwaver9065
      @justanotherwaver9065 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That’s why most of them are still in that position or lost the position. It’s a lose lose position though. Because you can also be a great PA. The people above that position would want you to stay in that position to help make their job flow easy. They can depend on you to get things done. But on the other hand, if you lazy you not going anywhere anyway. This is why it’s hard to break the barrier of moving up from the position.

    I've been at Amazon for 4 months,
    and I am currently a white badge, I am hired as a seasonal temp worker during peak season November 2023, as of today April 2024 I am still a white badge waiting to become a blue badge, I am trained in multiple departments in ship dock, including transship, I am licensed to operate the manipulator robot arm looking thing. And I am due for training in the pit area loading trucks in the ship dock area. I am trying to get as many permissions as possible to help ensure my chances of becoming a permanent blue badge, any advice would help, wish me luck will update as soon as I hear anything as far as the conversion process.. PS when I first started immediately went to TH-cam to find videos and I came across yours, I'll probably watched at least 10 plus videos and you have really helped me as far as advancing in my career, keeping me motivated, and bringing some humor to the job. @@qraeraeit depends. In the building I work you ask the manager that you want to be an AFM and then the trainer will verify if you’re suited for the role.
      They basically are looking for someone who isn’t lazy and able to work fast-paced. There are times when you could have 3 pod crashes and have limited time to fix them since you can’t be on the AR floor more than 5 minutes or it can affect Amazon performance

    I got hit with quality too when I went to stow and I was stressing too because my assigned manager didn't try to help me but was just writing me up... then he switched to days and my new manager worked with me and no further problems... my only thing though is you said the mortgage makes on straighten up but I'd say having an apartment is worst because the bank will work with you if you fall behind and it takes time to get foreclosure but while renting... these landlords are QUICK to evict after 30 days lol

Doing it well, everyone notices. And when things go wrong, it’s all on shipclerk. We had a sev 1, our senior sent out a message to get us going it was 90% on me as a ship clerk. I do it well though.

    I think L4 and L5 can be the most stressful for different reasons. As an L4 the expectations for performance are a lot lower than L5. It’s expected that there will be a learning curve so most of the stress is just focusing on improving your own department and developing your management skills. When you get to L5 it’s expected that you are very proficient in developing your direct reports, running your department, exceeding benchmark, implementing process improvement projects that has impact beyond just your shift and potentially even site/region wide. Etc. on top of that , you have to compete with the other L5s to show you are the most value added for limited L6 positions for which you’ve probably already been doing as they typically stretch you into that role for 1+ years.

    This is true for fulfillment centers. Sort centers are way different. The lazy people are the PAs. I use to be a PG when I worked at a sort center. I was next in line to work as a PA when my PA transferred to another amazon. Instead they gave the position to some older guy who had no clue how to work in that area. I had to train him myself. Even after training him there was still no hope for him. He asked me all the time how to do everything. I got tired of it and moved for the Tom team outside. Best decision I ever made. Everyone out there is L3 and above. You have bosses out there but you not treated like a worker. You treated like equals.

    • @S.B.
      @S.B.  ปีที่แล้ว

      Man sorry to hear that! Getting a write up never feels good might have to slow it down and be a little more careful until they fall off.

    • @carolmulberry6440
      @carolmulberry6440 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah I would advise you to slow down a little too. Those write-ups could be due to something as simple as having two identical items with two different barcodes in your hands and putting the wrong one in the tote thinking it was the right one. When we’re pushing ourselves to max speed, that can easily happen to even the most experienced pickers. Remember, quality over quantity. The fastest picker can have the lowest quality if they let their desire for speed rule everything else. And the slowest picker can have the highest quality if they’re taking that extra time to make sure they have the right item in the right tote. Balance between speed and quality is key. Find that balance and you’ll also find that the write-ups stop coming completely. Then you’ll be a candidate for promotion to indirect roles, learning ambassador, or PA. I spent my first year in pick before finally getting promoted to AFM/upper floor Ship Clerk in Pod Projects.

Couldn’t get my stowers the reactives and I also kept getting ghost jams and I couldn’t get empty totes down to 1st floor because the VRC went down.
