Installing an air-intake without having to put a tune on the vehicle. Now that's a novel concept! I think it really brings the engine bay to life in both looks and sound. Nice one!
Awesome video!!! I just sold my 2019 fbo sti and bought a 24 ecoboost! You were always tasteful with your subaru mods. Can't wait to dive into your f150 videos.
That moment when he dropped the nut, he was like FUCK. (a job that takes 20 mins, can now take an hour if needed to take off undertray to retrieve it) haha yes indeed we all been there.
Used your video to install mine today, thank you so much. I did drop the sensor grommet somewhere and can’t find it now, lol so hopefully when I get a replacement all will be good.
in your research did you consider any of the enclosed filter systems? I've been deliberating on intakes for a LONG time and I also go between this unit, the AFe unit, the S&B or Banks power... I hear from a lot of mechanics that ecoboosts prefer the enclosed systems, especially in hot climates. Have you experienced any drivability issues?
Hey man, don’t worry about inclosed systems. It really doesn’t matter that much since it’s turbo charged. The air is cooled in the inter cooler anyways so it’s not that big of a deal you maybe only losing like 1 or 2 hp from it being open like this system. The main advantage performance wise is the fact that it’s able take in more air with less resistance which allows the turbos to spool faster. And of course, the SOUND !!!!🥵
Curious as to why you installed an intake and left the intake restrictors in? If you’re enjoying the sound like that, see how much louder it is when they come out.
When I'm excelerating it sounds like a huge air leak. I have the same intake. I have no check engine lights or performance issues that I've noticed. Do you have any idea what's going on
Whats up man! So did there end up being any noticeable difference in mpg or anything like that? I want to buy this intake pretty much just for the sound but don’t want to lose any mpg or performance. It seems like whenever you ask on forums about these intakes people just shit all over them and I wanted to ask you since you actually are running the one that I want! Thanks man.
2.7 or 3.5 engine? Mine is coming in today and I'll be installing tonight. I wonder if the air pressure regulator tube in the kit will be in a different spot if we have different engines.
@@Scoobyfreak86it’s throwing P04DB, for the crankcase. For some reason my kit never came with that little tube. Just got the tube in today though so fingered crossed it fixes the problem
@@Scoobyfreak86 have you had any issues with the clamp coming off the otter tube? I did and my truck throw a P04DB code. I have to figure out how to clear the code to see if that resolves the issue or if I have to buy a new valve & sensor.
You can’t “void” warranty necessarily. But if you have an issue with the truck and it links back to the modification you’ve done, they have the right to deny warranty work. If you are worried about warranty, leave it stock.

To actually get any gains out of it, you do need to adjust tuning.
If you want more gains. Itll make it more efficient with a tune. But still adds power, just not as much@matttackel997
I installed mine a year or so ago and love it. Very loud.
Damn the turbos sound sick

Looks great/sounds great but a less expensive K&N filter in the enclosed stock intake probably does more for performance.
Really? How so? Please explain. I’m down for trying that.

Truck?
Add a 5star tune. I have it on mine…you won’t regret it
Can you drive in the rain with the intake?
Actually intakes are amazing for turbo Intakes, unlike for n/a motors
Eh my Wrx has a intake and my tuner told me it really doesn’t add too much hp mainly for sound only
f150 turbos run about twice the PSI boost stock vs the wrx @@georgeparker555
Are you still happy with it? Do you have to purchase new filters or can you clean them? I learn a lot from your videos. Thanks for the content 🇺🇸
Yes still rocking this intake and enjoying it. They are dry filters so just need to vacuum and bang out to clean. Very easy!
The real question is…when’s the first piece of Titanium Works going into the truck??? 🤣
Hahah not sure if I’m ready to go down that route with this one.

The intake is very audible with these. No need to make it louder.

That’s the induction noise from the intake.

So the sensor that was on top. Did you pull it all the way around to plug that into the turbo intake? The temperature sensor?
Yes it went underneath the piping and plugged in

Debating on the black or silver pipes. I would think black shows scratches easier?
The black is a wrinkle black so it doesn’t show any scratches. Much more durable than the polished in my opinion.

Looks to me you are sucking a lot of hot air in the new box from the engine compartment...Nothing is closed... What did you accomplish?
The hood seals the box when it is closed
will this fit a 2.7? not sure if the mounting areas and charge pipes are the same
Yes fits both 2.7 and 3.5
How well does it do at keeping any road salt/ messy snow from wheel splash

All the chrome will be gone soon. Don’t worry haha.
Not that it probably matters but what was the weight savings between the two intakes?
Maybe 2-3lbs. Not much.
