    Did some top speed and zero to thirty runs with the Hemi Predator-powered Coleman cc100x minibike with a long VM22 intake manifold? Then swapped out the long manifold for a short manifold to compare the difference in performance.

    I have built a 2stroke motorized bicycle with the jug reversed so the intake is in the front and the exhaust exit from the rear.. with a 6inch intake runner..gets good torque and good top speed with a 32t sprocket...from what I have collected out of my own experience..longer the intake runner, better the torque but doesn't really affect the top end speed at all..

    • @Black66
      @Black66  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes! If you look back at the cars from the 1980's like the tuned port camaro . The super long runners on the tuned port manifold gave that car great torque for the day.
      I figured this would be an intersting video for a small engine.

    Before I watch the video, I'm gonna guess the longer the runner the lower the torque sits in rpm. You should try to make an intake runner that's ridiculously long, around 12 inches, maybe make it so you could take 1 inch sections out and test to see which length runner someone should go with for top speed and trail riding.

    Make a long intake one that points the carb to the front of the bike so than it will create "Ram Air" effect (positive manifold pressure)

    Nice video. I heard the longer intakes give you more torque so maybe that’s why the short one had a slower 0-30. Your top speed was the same because of valve float. You can hear it more clear with the short intake manifold.

    Great video with the comparison of the intakes is there any possible way you can make a video on what are the mildest mods you can get away with to make power and get great top end without spending so much money for all this billet stuff? Because I just spent $175 on just a rolling mini bike chassis and I plan to put a predator 212 on it but I don’t wanna go as far as in a billet rod and a flywheel in those kind of things by that time I have purchased the motor three times over and yes I get it this is a very expensive hobby I just wanna have fun every now and then with some speed😏 and is it worth it to get the new 224 motor from Harbor freight are they gonna use the same parts as the 212 please do a comparison video on that greatly appreciate your channel and all you do for us forever a subscriber to your channel you’re the best man!

    • @Black66
      @Black66  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks! I'm happy you like the channel! I hear ya. I'll have to do a series on a 212 budget build. The 224 uses clone parts. All the same stuff on the outside like carb, header, head as the 212. The 224 is worth it because you get a 58 MM stroke and a reinforced block for $40 more over the 212. The 212 is still good though.

      @@Black66 This would be amazing.. Im in the same boat as them. Except I got a custom chassis so my budget is even more strict now lol..I've already picked up my 224 and zip tied the governor for now while I wait to decide what route to go.its a 5 Inch wheel base, I'm pretty sure just like your "greatest mini bike in the world," ha haha and to be honest i dont disagree with you at all there. That OG mini bike on your channel is freaking incredible. I'm curious why you never tried a flat slide carb on that bike though? Also curious why you haven't tried any of the 28mm pwk flat slide carbs... from my research its about the only carb besides the normal vm 22 people run on clapped out builds. Other than that I wish to copy literally everything you've done lol.

    • @Black66
      @Black66  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PopeyesCreeper Thanks! Ya, I love the best minibike in the world LOL It so cool. But the only thing about it is is not the easiest to ride being so small , and the steering is super touchy with the rake it has on the handle bars. Thats why I really havent ran a flat slide on it. I like using more stable bikes for speed builds like the stretched Mega Moto 80 . It runs a lot better a speed. I will definately get around to trying out a PWK carb . Im ordering up the parts now to do a super small budget series on a predator 212 that will apply to the 224.

      @@Black66 Awesome man, I love the passion you have for these things, and yeah that makes sense in your 60mph+ videos it does look a little wobbly. The frame I got is a "Gts hobbies," frame out of California and they do a lot of racing, I'm hoping it isn't as small and will handle a little better. After I left that comment I stumbled on 2 websites, not sure if you linked them or not to be honest, but I read up as much as I could and it was definitely a game changer for me , the only thing a little confusing is that they never mention how a pulse pump or increased fuel might help.. heres a link to the two if you want to check them out gokartnerds.com/complete-guide-for-performance-mods-on-predator-212/ and then for the 224 for the parts I found this gokartnerds.com/performance-parts-for-predator-224/
