My youngest sister had a weird experience we still cant explain.
She was on her bunkbed with a friend and the bed started shaking like crazy and they started screaming, once i enterd the room there was nothing going on. But they were so shook it couldnt be made up.
2 weeks later she starts screaming while being upstairs alone, she thought me or my dad was upstairs and went to go look.
She saw an elderly man standing in my room and got scared, after calming her down we went through some old photo's because if it was a spirit maybe it was someone we knew. My sister looked at a old baby picture of mine and pointed at a old man, the old man was my grandpa wich she never met or saw photos of. because he died 6 years prior of her birth.
We still cant explain how or what, but she was sertain it was him.

one of my favourite things about this film is that Valak's name is just casually easter egged throughout the film. The bracelet the warren's daughter makes spells valak, same with book ends in the same scene. there's a valak picture in the warren's kitchen window i think aswell? probably more. It's just such a snazzy addition to the film

Real life weird event that happened to me. When I was in between the 3rd and 4th grade, we moved across the state in Texas. Our new house was an old farmhouse on the edge of what was once a dairy farm. I was always a child who was scared of everything growing up so my parents tried to keep from telling me that weird stuff was happening in the house, but one night I overheard them talking about all the strange stuff that had been moving around, doors opening, foot steps, etc., and it made me so terrified to go to sleep that I would lay awake for hours each night refusing to fall asleep out of fear and praying that I never saw anything scary.
One night when I had stayed up to the point of exhaustion, I finally fell asleep, and I had a dream where I was unpacking one of my moving boxes and it suddenly started floating up off the bed and then the dream flashed to a pretty elderly lady with long hair in a wheat field and back to the floating box and then back to her and back to the box. When I woke up I knew it was the ghost’s way of introducing herself to me in a way that wasn’t scary so I would know who she was.
I made my bed that day, went to school, and came home to find a long piece of wheat laying smack dab in the middle of my bed.
We have no wheat fields anywhere around our house, so I knew it was from her. After that point I thought of her as a protector and never felt scared of our house again.

    @thebrittbratt4641 ปีที่แล้ว +6

You asked for my paranormal experiences, I'm here to deliver. 🙏🏻
I didn't believe in ghosts before my last home in NC. I'd see some strange things like orbs flying at me through a dark room, and had some odd occurrences i couldn't explain, but that 107 y/o cottage solidified the reality of spirits for me. I lived there with an entity that I felt the first time i stepped into the house. We were being watched. I went to the attic, sat down and laid 'ground rules'. I gave it a fake name because names have power and i didn't want to feed it. I told it if we could coexist peacefully I don't mind it staying since we wouldn't be there more than a few years. I laid out what that meant and thanked it for hearing my boundaries. And it followed them. It didn't scare my pets, parents or I, it didn't make noises at night or show itself outright for the first year I was there. But then things started happening right after I graduated highschool.
I was sat on my back porch in the middle of summer around 11 AM, and right as I got comfy I suddenly heard disembodied gasping - imagine someone who needs an inhaler doubled over and painfully gasping for air. It sounded like a girl. It wasn't my pets. I checked everywhere, even under the porch and circled my house multiple times. I could hear it like it came from under the porch. I was almost crying and I said "if there's someone here please go away, you're scaring me." It stopped, and I ran inside, terrified.
It really liked being in my moms room. I always felt its presence there. I was sitting in the living room with the couch facing my mom's doorway. I was reading a book, and I saw my mom pass from one side of her room to the other, as though walking to her closet from the other side of her bed near the window. It was her outline, with her hair and outfit and silhouette, but i saw it out of my peripheral vision, not straight on. I called her name because I had a question, and looked up at her doorway for an answer. Then my mom walka out of the kitchen, in the opposite direction of her room to my right. I froze, realizing what just happened and made some excuse to go shut myself in my room.
I had a little lamp near my bed, and with my pets I'd say goodnight like in the brady bunch show "good night Ellie! Good night Josie! Goodnight (ghosts fake name)". Every night, on cue, the lamp flickered off momentarily before returning to normal. It never flickered otherwise, not once.
Since moving states I've heard my name urgently whispered in my ear twice while in bed. The night my aunt died she visited me around the time of her passing, and I was flooded with all of my memories with her, and had this internal conversation about the family and how things are meant to play out, and what I should do. The next day my mom told me unprompted what time she died the night before and I was shocked, it was the same time I had that experience.
I have insomnia because I've continued having very odd occurrences, intense lucid nightmares and prophetic dreams that come true. even in my apartment now. I often feel a cat jump on my bed and walk around, even over my chest or next to my head, when I shine a flashlight there's nothing there, and my living cat is sleeping in the chair next to my bed. I believe it's my passed cat that became a spirit guide, but I could be wrong...last night, or I guess this morning, it scared me, around 4 AM I heard it jump from my bed to the floor and into my closet. I think something..else likes being in there. Then my front door swung open downstairs, I was so confused and ran down to close it. No one came in the house, It was locked but pretty windy, so I chalked it up to the wind. Still, though, helluva coincidence right after the thing was going around my room.
supposedly the veil between the realms of living and spirit is thinnest at 12-3 AM. And we are energetically more vulnerable for things to latch on and use our energy to 'charge' themselves. Most of the odd occurrences happen around 1-4 am at my house. I recently met someone who had portals in their home and I think that exacerbated the ghost thing, we both experienced something touch me and whisper my name in my ear next to them in bed. I thought it was them but it was an entity that peeked out from behind their TV. I can't deny or explain these things I've seen, felt and heard. Anyway, hope this helps/is useful.

Hi Seb! I have a movie recommendation and I really think you will love this movie! It's called Awake (2007), I don't want to spoil it too much but it's basically about a guy who needs a heart transplant and when he goes under the anesthesia it only paralyzes his body, and not how he feels or his ability to hear the surgeons speaking while he's under (this is important to the plot), so he can basically feel everything. There so much more to the movie but I don't want to say too much! Love the content!

I love James wanns style of horror film making, it's always steadycam, dolly wides and pans. Out of all the new directors his style has always kept me on my toes

lol the "its crazy cameras used to have to be that big" line was perfectly timed. Imagine carrying that thing around on your shoulder and thinking its a small convenient tool.

The Defeo murders really happened. What was never explained was how he managed to shoot the whole family, on two different floors, with no one waking up.
The main story is based on the Enfield haunting. They wildly diverge from it here, but it is considered one of the real hauntings that has never been fully debunked. You can find real photos online.
Yes, Annabelle is a real doll still in the Warren's museum (not currently open). What's funny is, in real life, it was just a Raggedy Ann doll. That's actually much scarier than the creepy glass doll.

Annabelle is a raggedy Ann doll, and is real, someone went to the museum of ed and Lorraine Warren where the doll is made fun of the doll, and he died in motorbike accident on his way home.

Parts of this story really reminded me of Ghostwatch - if you're looking to react to an insanely British horror I recommend it. It was aired on BBC1 on Halloween 1992 and was presented as if it was a live Crimewatch/Watchdog-style Halloween show with presenters like Michael Parkinson and Craig Charles. There were people who watched it and genuinely thought it was real 😆 A little bit of UK TV history!

I watched this movie in the theater with my best friend after he begged me to go see it. Will still go down as one of the best cinema experiences I’ll ever have even though I didn’t want to see it in the first place.
