All of my CZ457`s in 22 mag LOVE the Hornady 30gr Vmax. Each CZ457 magnum i own shoots one ragged hole at 100yds. If i had to choose one of my 457`s in 22 magnum for best accuracy over-all, it would be my CZ457 Varmint (wood stock) every time. Good to see you out there shootin again TM.
Thanks as always for watching my friend! It's been a busy month so unfortunately I haven't been able to shoot as much as I like. Hoping the holidays give me more opportunities to get out and get some rounds down range.
@@texmexshoots Remington has a 32gr. or 33 gr. WMR round that was all that was on the shelf during the pandemic so I bought 5 boxes , I’d be better off with 00 buck , that round shot all over the target , that was upsetting !
Very useful and well-put-together video! This shows the accuracy of the 30 grain v-max. My experience with it is that it's very accurate with CZ-455. I've had alot of different kinds of ammo and it has overall the best accuracy.
Thank you for watching! Seems to work well in both of my rifles. Need to see how it does in my lever actions and semi-auto HK. I agree that it seems to be one of the best 22 magnum ammunition available.
Thanks for watching William. I don't think a different scope would have made much of a difference. Although the crossfire is the low tier Vortex, it still works well on rimfires and the glass was clear. Improving the trigger could have helped a little bit, but that would take a trigger job since I have adjusted the factory trigger as light as it allows. As for the buttstock, I had it against my shoulder. The rifle was placed in the green caldwell shooting bag for support.
Thanks for watching! The scope is a Vortx as are the rings. I think I got the medium height which barely give S the scope enough clearance but I like my scopes close to the barrel. It’s a crossfire II 4-12 with an adjustable objective in the front.
Probably the most useful video out of all shooting video's I've seen
Wow, thank you! That's a very kind thing to say. These ammunition tests are work intensive, but they give good results.
.22 mag has always been one of my favorite cartridges. Great small and medium game round that you don't have to get a bank loan to buy.
Well said Scott! I agree with everything you said. It a useful and fun all around cartridge that won't break the bank.
That sure revealed which ones the guns like. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching Cervus!
Great video thanks for sharing
Well done video! Great comparison of 2 different rifles and ammo.
Thanks Ernest! I'm glad you liked the video.

Great test ! I had just purchased the Hornady 30 grain Vmax loadings ! Have not fired them just yet !
Thanks for watching Norman! It's great ammo that has worked well out of a couple of my 22 mags.

@@normanmallory2055 Always sucks when that happens. You should try it out of any other 22 mags you have to see if they like it more.
@@texmexshoots I found a new home for the ammo and months later I heard good reports back !

The other day I saw one man shooting .22 WMR really nicely with Winchester Super-X ammunition, I think it was with a CZ 457...
I've always had good luck with the older grey box Super X. Both my lever actions and revolvers like it.
You think the scopes being a different brand would change your outcome? Question...did you have a support for the buttstock besides your shoulder?

My Marlin xt 22 mag groups the hornady 30 gr good , I was surprised. Explosive on squirrels
I bet! The Hornady seems to be the best load for mine as well, along with my CZ452. Only my lever action prefers 40 gr.
I just put the same rifle and stock together. What scope and rings are you running? Thank you.

Good follow up. Where are you shooting?
Thanks again moodymac! This particular property is out in Texas Hill Country close to Camp Wood.
