After a really bad day I watched this video and it was such a blessing. ibxtoycat is simply the best content creator out there, putting so much work into his videos, this man is simply YES!
Flat worlds are 55% of my creative worlds that I play/played for at least a while and I have 600+ Minecraft worlds over all my devices including survival and a few hardcore worlds. I have never tried to beat Minecraft in a flat world but now I will try.
Also, I found my old earbuds and found out they still work great and better so if anybody actually saw my other comment there's the update. Just for the people who happened to come across both my comments.
I decided to try this challenge myself, and the sapling I got from the start was spruce which is pretty interesting because they don't drop apples, so my most valuable possessions are the two that I got from the bonus chest.
Fun little note about the mob farm--you don't actually need to spawn proof the whole 128x128 area, since mobs spawn in a sphere around the player. Instead, building up a couple dozen blocks above the mob farm is just as effective and significantly more efficient (assuming the mob spawning sphere works the same in Bedrock as it does in Java)
The streams for this have been SO fun. My favorite was where you got the first (gilded) zombie pigmen and overall this superflat challenge has been way more interesting because of how impossible it sounds from the start
Why not take 3 swings at a trader, box him in. Box a zombie next to him. Make him go invisible. Then the moment he pulls out the milk bucket hit him again for the bucket drop?
The amount of thinking and grinding you have to do just to turn basically nothing into something is very interesting to watch. So excited for the world's next advancements!
this makes me wish that mojang would add the option for structures in superflat worlds so people who exclusively play bedrock could try out a superflat like java

(Composter, Barrel, Loom, Cauldron, Smithing table ONLY) 8. Emeralds (Loom, Wool and black Dye) (Composter, Crops) (Barrel, string) (Cauldron, Leather) 9. Expert Fisher = Campfire 9. Traveling Trader - Pointed Dripstone (unlimited clay), the rest of the trees, the rest of the dyes, sand, sugar cane, glowstone This becomes a strange world. No smelting, but campfires. Emeralds trade for single blocks of decorative stones. Diamond tools are the norm. Huge farms trade for emeralds. The entire world is slowly converted into mud, and then into clay, then bricks and terracotta. In a way it becomes the very opposite of Skyblock where a single lava bucket is unlimited stone, here the stone gets sidesteped and skipped. Both end up ruled by the villager trades in the deep endgame.

i’ve been following all of the streams for this and its so dope to see all of it condensed like this. it really shows all the effort u put in, i love seeing all ur progress so far!!
All these steps reminded me of Raysworks on Protosky. They started with only four blocks (lava, dirt, netherrack, and a mushroom, I think) and worked their way up to farming 90% of the items in the game. They had to get their first emeralds from a fox farm that made about 1 emerald PER WEEK...
You can get wood without a bonus chest. First, find a pillager patrol with a vindicator. Kill the vindicator. If it drops emeralds, find a wandering trader and buy a sapling.
@@BaremetalFlesh Vindicators previously did occasionally spawn in pillager troops but sadly for some reason Mojang removed the possibility of them spawning in 1.18, and wandering traders do always spawn no matter whether any villagers currently exist in the world. So unless I have missed something, the answer is yes, and it was previously possible to make progress (after waiting a long time) in flat worlds without bonus chests. I overall disliked the main game updates from 1.17 to 1.20 as I think they really didn’t improve the game much, and instead went the other way. Mojang also seemed to be very lazy around that time period. The updates didn’t feel like full Minecraft updates, with no real theme or idea and kind of all over the place. And just as a personal preference, I think the old terrain generation was drastically better for serveral reasons. First of all, the new generation is much to extreme. The new mountains and huge caves are cool, but needed to implemented very different and found much rarer and in specific areas. Since basically the entire world generation now is giant mountains and extreme generation, it doesn’t feel as special as if they were hard to come by. The easiest way I saw was just killing ever so slowly all the zombies that show up with golden tools and smelting them for nuggets But then I was thinking like how could you get the cobblestone? And I was stuck from there haha
I'm not too familiar with Minecraft but if there's a way to trade for Obsidian then you can go to the Nether and get a bucket of lava to start a cobblestone generator. Or just trade for the bucket of lava directly if that's possible?

I'm doing this challenge myself. I won't do it legitimately though since I plan to spawn myself a bucket of lava and end portal frames. But I do make sure that I earn them, not just spawn them as I please. I made rules to myself that in order to get a bucket of lava I have to have villagers with every profession in game (So I have to cure a bunch of zombie villagers and pray that they come with different professions). And to get end portal frames I have to kill the Wither first LOL. I think that's fair but I curing zombie villagers will probably drive me crazy.
I actually liked this video when you talk its actualkly about what youre doing and for once playing on bedrock seems to be making it more interesting because of all the hoops you have to jump through. But could you PLEASE do this again but on java. With the different pvp, villages, and other differences in java Id love to see what you could do with all the new resources and how much more you would accomplish.
On the 360 version you can edit the layers of the Superflat world and get things like strongholds and villages to spawn along with select biomes you can spawn in. A challenge like this on the 360 version would be trivial. Still great work and love your videos.
so i started my own and went with dark oak as well but it feels as though after recent updates its far harder to maintain or turn a profit on sapling supply. Ive had to restart twice due to not getting enough saplings and im still not in the woods yet.
Very reminiscent of sky lock, except there aren’t islands of new resources you eventually get to. How things go with villagers under these conditions will be fascinating, looking forward to seeing that! 🙂
Did you know light travels through pathblocks too? I tried to do a dark space under a village in an old edition bedrock (changed to new minecraft after finding a blacksmith, but i didn't do a starter chest)
Just started this today for the first time. Was a little let down at first till I read into it online. I didn’t think it operated like a normal day. Just thought it stayed sunny all the time and no rain or anything. Now that I’ve learned more about it I’ve been really excited about trying it. It made me feel like i did the first time I played minecraft years back. Especially since it’s a real BASIC survival where you have to work towards everything you Normally could get the first few minutes in a normal game
I hope they change that too. I tried to load an old edition flatworld with water and all the structures spawned underwater. So no wood no crops no mobs
U can get a juke box because wandering traders have a chance to sell lava and dripstone So u can make a portal, find a structure, and get diamonds From what I remember u can get super cane too so that also helps with getting all the village tables Along with the nether having gravel Edit: u can also make a cobble gen with this
(for any other superflat players) If you want to get sand to make a cactus useful just get a wandering trader they might have in their trades, everyone hates wandering traders until they play superflat they also help you get hard to get stuff
I have obtained the red sand and water buckets with fish in it wandering ice the water bucket for the drowning of zombies and I use the red Sand to make a cactus farm
I'm just a third in the vid. I just started minecraft and I still struggle with setting up anything at all like a house some animals and crops but I always loved watching minecraft content (like who didnt know techno 🖤) and I just found you now I must say it's so damn inspiring for me as a new player myself. I often think damn he builds this oh and her she got that far so I put myself under pressure while it's just a sandbox hame And yeh your project has shown me that nothing needs to be hurried. I got a slight imagination of what I wanna do with my world. I know it will takes weeks months maybe years because I sadly have a live haha at least in this situation right now I don't im home sick broken shoulder and I'm healing. Well whatever if you or anyone read this. Thanks for showing me the meaning of the game with so much passion and self confidence! I know what i wanna do and I can take the time that I need. Only thinh I'm missing is some gaming pals. I'm mid thirty and Noone in my age playy minecraft from my gaming friends so that's pretty sad.
I never thought it would take someone 4 minutes to explain how to get a villager
😂 youtube put a conspiracy warning
I did not know you could do combine repairs without a grindstone or anvil. The more you know 💫
this is basically skyblock but you have an infinite world of dirt but no lava
Very reminiscent of sky lock, except there aren’t islands of new resources you eventually get to. How things go with villagers under these conditions will be fascinating, looking forward to seeing that! 🙂
The start of this is basically any expert modpack you play. Progression is so much different than normal.
Especially since it’s a real BASIC survival where you have to work towards everything you Normally could get the first few minutes in a normal game
minecraft superflat worlds are flat. change my mind.
This actually makes me really curious on how this would change if you also started with a single block of lava too
I hope they change that too. I tried to load an old edition flatworld with water and all the structures spawned underwater. So no wood no crops no mobs
ur a legend for doing this toycat, cool vid
Why didn’t you smelt logs to make charcoal and use that for light??
No lava. No cobble
He can’t get a furnace. There IS no “smelting”
Hey toycat, I just wanted to let you know that I am attempting this challlenge and it really is super fun. also I like your vids, bye!
This is flat earth propaganda apparently lol
Don't believe the scientists
@@toycat got it captain
Not sure if its intended but most of the fish catching clips around 31:40 have a dono in them,
pretty cool!
What seed did u use?
I don’t think that matters. Maybe for bonus chest loot but not sure
@@harambe9461 i was joking
This was an insane undertaking. In every sense of the word. Good on ya, Toycat!
Wow, Bedrock is pretty awful in some regards. I'm fairly sure mobs in boats never despawn in Java.
I think that parity difference is the reason we have horses that don't take fall damage. Java can use boats, we get horses
I just remembered a really important way you could get buckets sooooooo much easier. Just kill a wandering trader while he’s drinking milk!
Flat earth 💀
Super flat no village: no water
Wandering trader with fish buckets: allow me to step in
Jeb: *superflat in survival is a fun challenge*
No one:
Toycat: *Are you challenging me?*
U can get a juke box because wandering traders have a chance to sell lava and dripstone
So u can make a portal, find a structure, and get diamonds
From what I remember u can get super cane too so that also helps with getting all the village tables
Along with the nether having gravel
Edit: u can also make a cobble gen with this
I love how people GUESS stuff, but they dont even bother looking on the wiki...
Yea...where you gonna find a diamond for the jukbox, a soulsand fossil? I never see coal in those...
this is the minecraft equivalent of “if you give a mouse a cookie”
Did you know that wandering trader can give you gravel or flint for emeralds
One of the best bedrock youtubers _😆_
(for any other superflat players) If you want to get sand to make a cactus useful just get a wandering trader they might have in their trades, everyone hates wandering traders until they play superflat they also help you get hard to get stuff
I have obtained the red sand and water buckets with fish in it wandering ice the water bucket for the drowning of zombies and I use the red Sand to make a cactus farm
Somehow cured enough villagers and got some and enough stuff to make villager breeders one of them spawned as a cleric that's how I got Redstone
I'm just a third in the vid. I just started minecraft and I still struggle with setting up anything at all like a house some animals and crops but I always loved watching minecraft content (like who didnt know techno 🖤) and I just found you now I must say it's so damn inspiring for me as a new player myself. I often think damn he builds this oh and her she got that far so I put myself under pressure while it's just a sandbox hame
And yeh your project has shown me that nothing needs to be hurried.
It's kinda lonely and I think would be even more fun with some friends and building together a city gain supplies together like the mining buddies or the axt swinging axies!
I'd love to have some minecraft buddies
Anyway your content is inspiring and made my eveningcuz I just turned the game off kinda unhappy but now I feel more freedom and motivation for tomorrows minecraft time ❤️
You should kill the llamas and getting the leashes. They might be useful.
You can smelt gold swords for 1 gold nugget, so you can breed villagers.
Love the content, make a 200 days and breed the villagers with the extra grapple.
No furnace
Thankyou for creating an edited version I didn't really want to see the many hour long videos but did want to see your progress
