Fun fact: there was an old bug that was patched on Java that still exists on bedrock. The bug is mining faster when resetting your clicks. To clarify try mining when holing down your mine button between blocks then try releasing the mine button between blocks you will mine a little faster especially when using efficiency 4-5
@ how it works is that between block breaking there is a “timeout” period basically making the block unbreakable for a split second, the slight pause in mining gets around that frame. Sorry if it sounds weird trying to account for touch, controller, and keyboard and mouse
I hate how some Java players just say features in bedrock are "bugs" just because they're different than Java. That's like saying the smallest black hole has a lot of flaws because it's not as big as Pheonix A. That doesn't make any sense -_-
@SomeRandomAsian33 I know the point that you're making, but the choice of using celestial bodies as an equivalent for the situation just doesn't work. Java and Bedrock are two versions of a game which are very different but still try to be consistent with the general function and appeal of minecraft, while black holes are just natural objects that exist independent from one another without any intent to fulfill.
5:42 i always find this incredibly frustrating when building larger things as it tends to throw it way off. Also they seem to let light through which may or may not be a bug
@swankierSpy2658 them being transparent is completely intended. It's been that way for a very long time even on Java and legacy. Is actually a really good way to make a perfectly lit base because you can build the floor out of slabs with an extra layer of lights underneath the slabs
At 4:08 maybe at some point they were gonna have a shield bash attack mechanic or does it do more damage on mobs than other non-weapons? Because some shields IRL are and have been meant to be used like that so it would make sense.... or its just a bug lolol.
It's likely neither. The bug he showed in the screenshot isn't what he was showing in Minecraft. The screenshot's bug was how changing what item you're holding won't reset how much a block has been broken.
@@averymasters What I'm saying is that a shield losing durability after breaking a block is not a bug. The bug report shown in the video wasn't related at all.
The shield visual glitch also applies to loaded crossbows and armour with trims. There is also a glitch that causes concrete powder to not become concrete when in contact with waterlogged blocks.
Strangely, bugs 5 and 22 are both intentional. Iron golems and villagers won't drop down more than a single block to avoid getting stuck in deep holes they can't get back out of and pigs spawn more frequently in cherry groves because they're pink I guess? I just remember the pigs in cherry groves specifically being mentioned in changelogs, so it is intended.
Nope. He just majorly misunderstood the bug report. The bug report he showed was about the fact that changing what item you're holding won't reset how much a block has been broken.

I never got a random death bug, but I've died a lot during loading screens (once I got pushed into water after opening the world, all the other times I tried to go to the nether and got killed before loading in) But ig it balances out because once I fell from pretty high up and didn't take any damage. I thought maybe some nearby water saved me but I heard the hitting the ground sound effect so idk

I knew there was something weird about the skeletons firing speed! Also one thing I can say, especially for the nether, enemies feel like they spawn way too much. Don't know if its a bug, but man its a little absurd, especially with ghasts.
The Nether spawn rates has been on the bug tracker for a while, I barely see any ghasts in videos of java edition but I constantly had 2 targeting me in bedrock.
Once while me and my friend were raiding an endcity and i fell a few blocks onto a shulker to kill it but it became untargetable and completely ignored me, a minute or so later i just died with my deathmessage claiming that i “fell from a high place”
2:29 There are still issues with the bedrock boats lol. 1 the paddles move faster than on java 2 Theres no rowing sound effect 3 the hands should move down when in first person when rowing
You should do a video focusing on those lag-related bugs that cause people to die randomly, those deaths seem random but they are usually caused by some sort of server-client desync that is a lot more common on lower-end devices and consoles. You may not be able to replicate them on your PC but as a large bedrock creator, talking about it may help bring more awareness to the issue and what the causes are. It also might incentivize the developers to prioritize the issue. It's one of the main reasons that bedrock is known as bugrock.
@freeedleo yeah I know that's in code but I meant that it's more likely their devices or their connection because those bugs never happened to me in bedrock
I also think that many people just stage all these lag related bugs because normal people would realise that the world lags and that they should probably stop placing blocks above the void or lava but they still do it just because they get attention from this "bug" and everyone then thinks that bedrock edition has a lot of bugs
@CubeCat1908 these bugs also only happened to me when I played on the Nintendo switch and the world started to auto save which lags out the world for a minute. But I also think that everyone can survive these bugs if they would just act accordingly.
Maybe bedrock is just written differently to java, some of these bugs may not be bugs, because it may just be that the way bedrock is written it just does it that way, just because it is different that java it doesn't mean that it is a bug
Thats a cool video idea Unfortunately, I am not satisfied with the selection of bugs. The three bugs in the sky, MCPE-186551, MCPE-179454, and MCPE-67923, which almost constantly affect gameplay, were not mentioned. Also, the critical bug that makes it impossible for some players to play on PS4 (MCPE-179572) was not mentioned, nor the bug that forces me to reinstall the game multiple times a day (MCPE-177693). However, the latter bug seems to be fixed in the preview at least. These are the bugs that currently frustrate me the most - the latter bug being the worst. These are the bugs that are ruining the gaming experience for me personally.
@@crimsoncapricorn188 The Three Sky Bugs: The sun shrinks inexplicably and extremely when viewed directly or at sunset. When it starts or stops raining or thundering, the sky's color changes abruptly without a smooth transition. Additionally, the sun, which enlarges when looked at, lacks a fluid texture transition as it grows. The bug that makes the PS4 version unplayable simply causes the game to freeze regularly for no apparent reason-resulting in frequent freeze screens lasting several seconds. I used to have to regularly uninstall the game, delete all game data (including world data), and reinstall it just to avoid this bug for the next three days. Since the PS5 version of Minecraft was released, I can play that version and am spared from this issue. Some Players who don’t have a PS5 are unable to play the game anymore. The last bug causes certain animations to stutter repeatedly and inexplicably-water, rain, item-swapping animations, and, worst of all, the FOV change when starting or stopping a sprint. This makes the camera stutter, causing dizziness. For me, it has become normal to reinstall the game 3 to 4 times a day, as this temporarily fixes the bug for several hours.
8:56 This wouldn't be a problem if compasses pointed towards the Cardinal Directions (NWSE) as opposed to the world spawn. However, the sun and moon always rise in the east and set in the west.
A few months ago, some of my friends started a Minecraft Relm. When I was added, I found do many bugs that I just kinda thought were just that way on Bedrock (im a Java player). While some have been fixed, it's still really crazy the fine details that really just feel wrong. And then, there's the ones that usually killed me: the fact you can take damage from inconsistent distances. It was torture. I wonder what happened to that relm; most of us stopped playing pretty early on
I feel like everyone has different experiences. I mainly play bedrock with some modded java and never experienced any major bugs on bedrock. Even just small bugs only happen every few weeks and they are fixed by rejoining or waiting a few seconds
Couple of thoughts: 1. You missed during the first night that on hard mode spiders don't spawn with potions effects. (But you did mention it in a previous bug video a few months ago) 2. Oftentimes, I see people complain about bugs that have already been fixed years ago. These people don't play the game, but just want to bandwagon with the majority of bedrock haters for internet points. Seriously, I recently saw someone complaining that bedrock is terrible because it doesn't have banner shields even though that was fixed 2-3 years ago.
I started playing Minecraft via the windows edition I used to think that the bedrock game ran better but now I play java with optimization mods and it runs nearly 2x better than base bedrock ever did
It's insane how so many bugs that I thought were features were actually real bugs, and there's so much subtle bugs that I didn't know about. That's insane!
Not being able to tell which direction you're facing when off the map is not a bug. The texture has existed in the game files to show when you're off the map and was just never used before. It's actually really helpful when taking the guess work out of knowing when you're off the map so you know it's safe to open a new one without making the same map again. Before this you just had to overshoot your target to make sure you weren't still standing on the previous map. Chances are if you're traveling by map anyways you're somewhere on the surface of the overworld. You can navigate by looking at the sun/moon as it always rises in the East and sets in the West. I actually really like working that out when traveling and was happy to see they fixed the issue with the map icons not displaying properly.
4:07 isn't that supposed to be the case? When using the wrong tool for the task makes it loose 2 durability? A sword still takes durability damage when braking a block, is that a bug?
8:57 That's a bedrock bug? I as using a woodland explorer map in java a couple of days ago and it didn't show rotation until the map started filling in.
Does this mean that the development team working for Bedrock aren’t actually capable of being up to par with Java’s team? I know they aim to release updates for both versions at the same day, but Bedrock’s team seem to be lacking in speed by the looks of it.
many of these are not minecraft’s fault. Play on a new gen console instead of the shitty 8 year old switch and very little bugs occur. Plus java bugs are half the time considered features. Ex: quasi connectivity
I've seen the banner shield bug happen with trimmed armor, too. The armor will sometimes appear trimmed in the inventory, but when you put it on, it has no trim.
Well sprinting and jumping makes more sense to not move around in the air, look at any sports that involves it Nobody is fluttering their feet in the air like Luigi
I tried playing Bedrock for 1 year (I primarly play Java), worst bug I encountered was when I would enter The End dimension and 1 chunk would be replaced with a end island, this would happen everytime in the same chunk, which made me go back to Java. For reference: MCPE-129581
i’ve always played java and never experienced any major bugs. every few weeks or so maybe a inventory slot would be buggy and wouldn’t work for 4 seconds. Most of the bugs on bedrock only occur on crappy devices like a switch
4:12 That's the wrong bug link there. That bug talks about switching items while breaking a block (so you start breaking wood with an axe and finish with a salmon to save durability), but the bug shown in video was a shield taking durability damage when used to break a block.
I have played Bedrock edition for years (originally got into Minecraft on phone and Xbox) and had never played Java edition... Until today. My wife wanted to play with me but couldn't get Bedrock to run on her computer (weird update/install issue), so I booted up Java edition. I imagine my experience was similar to Java players trying Bedrock for the first time. It's entering the uncanny valley, where everything is familiar but everything's slightly off. I noticed some bugs that I've never seen on Bedrock (pretty sure they aren't intended behavior). At the end of the day though, it still was Minecraft, and I enjoyed playing it with my wife (and later Brother in law joined).
@BennyBoy025 yeah that happens to me! I think its a visual bug actually related with raining because it only happens to me sometimes when it rains, and i dont have a conduit in my world 😅 so I think rain is the issue
The slab bug is actually a good one because of your building a wall out of a certain type of plank you can put two slabs together and it’ll give you that dark matching texture
I played Bedrock with my friends, and we encountered insane lag (the world host was fine and it would improve if the world host turned down his render distance, what), randomly taking damage when running on flat ground, sometimes even dying from said damage, then we lost a stack of iron to lava due to another glitch.
You should also do this in Java to compare. I bet there are actually more bugs in Java but most of them are minor or considered features by most players, while the Bedrock bugs are fewer but more severe or noticeable. Most of the bugs i get in Java are like redstone glitches (which most casual players would never encounter) but in Bedrock it's usually UI glitches like the text shows off the screen for some reason or my skin randomly changes to a default one, etc.
The skin one is actually a feature. If your skin is imported or not purchased from the marketplace, most of the time your avatar will be replaced by the default skin, with only the ones you already have or the free ones being available.
There's a glitch where killing another player at a certain time causes them to respawn floating and untouchable. On their screen, they are a ghost. Everything is off, including the time of day and weather; they can be attacked by invisible mobs, and none of the world loads; they walk on a black void. I have a video clip of it on a USB drive somewhere; I'm just too lazy to find it right now.
Back then the arrow in the map corner existed but it was removed i dont think its a bug but just mojang making player's life's worse Edit:a bug that usually happens to me is that i cant move stacks of blocks or use them to craft and i dont know how it hapoens but it sucks
@crimsoncapricorn188 the one in the slot bar works but when its in my inventory even picking up a item of the same time does'nt work sometimes as the game refuses to stack them together
I watched your videos last back in like 2016-2017 when you were playing Minecraft Xbox edition; it’s so weird seeing you play on and mention a newer version of Minecraft 😂
When you put an animal in a boat and drive off the after a few chunks it'll despawn. Boats can't travel up a pixel. A whole block and even a half block I get but it not being able to go from path block to a regular block won't work
Here are some of the most FRUSTRATING bugs imo: The Ghost Item glitch This one is super common in survival, sometimes your stack gets bugged and you cant interact with it. Slimes and Magma Cubes They keep their jump momentum when you kill them, and while they're dead and hurdling towards you, THEY STILL HAVE A HITBOX Soul Sand Valley The skeleton spawn rates are WAY higher than it is in java. Like WAY WAY higher Soul sand valley on bedrock is awful.
Bar the aesthetic issues, I’ve only ever had one major bedrock glitch in memory since it’s release, involving a desync with a chest causing ghost items.
My favourite bugs I've experienced (I'm a ps console player, so I use bedrock) have to be when I can't move an object out of my inventory because it just zips right back to its slot in my inventory when I try to move it at all, and when I load up the game and some of my inventory has disappeared (I lost half a stack of sponges this way). I didn't realise the fix for this second bug is to log out and log back in again and the things will be back
My biggest annoyance with bedrock comes from boats. I am glad they don’t require a shovel to craft anymore. The health of the boat is still insane though. The worse part, it takes massive amounts of durability from your tools if you want to do more damage and even more so if you spam click.
I haven't played Bedrock as long as Java, but I never really notice any bugs in it beyond placing & destroying invisible blocks. It definitely runs smoother & faster. Anyways, I got a request for your next seeds video. Can you please find badlands biome surrounded by rivers or ocean, with a lake in the middle, with some nearby savannah trees, & a nearby desert village? ALSO.... Can you do a test & see if Bedrock villagers have worse pathfinding & cliff edge avoidance than Java villagers?
the not easily replicatable bugs are the worst because... well... you can't know when they happen, you can't know how they happen, but it just happens

@Cactuscatkyle more like poorly optimized. If no man's sky can run on the switch Minecraft doesn't have an excuse
@@kclalmami7548 I don't know why you are telling this to me when I didn't say anything bad about bedrock, but ok
@@carnagesuperior2981 minecraft does kinda have an excuse since nintendo is using a pretty old chip that came out in 2015, and the switches power is between a ps3 and a Xbox one which isnt the best. But sometimes minecraft doesn't have an excuse, for example, in the most recent event (for the cape). The event was unplayable and kept crashing on the switch.
Had a bug that caused all my villagers to fall through the floor to a deathly fall. Lesson learned always double or triple thick the floor
It's suggested to do that anyway cause of endermen
Fun fact: there was an old bug that was patched on Java that still exists on bedrock. The bug is mining faster when resetting your clicks. To clarify try mining when holing down your mine button between blocks then try releasing the mine button between blocks you will mine a little faster especially when using efficiency 4-5
So, lemme get this right. Once you break the block, you release, then trigger again on the next block?
@ yes essentially as soon as the block breaks release and press again, I think it was called click mining back in 2011
@ how it works is that between block breaking there is a “timeout” period basically making the block unbreakable for a split second, the slight pause in mining gets around that frame. Sorry if it sounds weird trying to account for touch, controller, and keyboard and mouse
I hate how some Java players just say features in bedrock are "bugs" just because they're different than Java.
That's like saying the smallest black hole has a lot of flaws because it's not as big as Pheonix A. That doesn't make any sense -_-
yeah i agree
Like what.
The hell kind of analogy is that? There's tons of comparisons you can make, but that one just doesn't work.
@edenwayne8407
That's my point, it doesn't make sense.
@@carnagesuperior2981 ok :)
@@carnagesuperior2981 Actually, they don't let light through on java, They are transparent to Redstone (you can't power them) but not light.
@@Kourindouinc I never mentioned screenshot.
Wait, tools decreasing in durability when you use them for non tool purposes is a bug?!
Nope. He just majorly misunderstood the bug report.
The bug report he showed was about the fact that changing what item you're holding won't reset how much a block has been broken.

7:08 They should make the endermen teleporting out of boats a feature. Like it makes sense that it wouldn't be able to be just trapped in a boat
3:46 i had found something similar to this. It was when I was transporting a villager by boat but it kept getting stuck on the path blocks. I presume it is to do with the very marginal block height between path blocks and grass blocks.
boats dont get stuck on pathblocks they get stuck on the hight difference between fullblocks. it's not a bug, but annoying intended behaviour haha.

To be honest, as a bedrock edition player I only experienced these bugs on the PE version of the game and with experimental toggles on in the pc version which is to be expected since it’s been tampered with. But playing a vanilla game on pc I don’t really see many of the issues people point out. Idk if it’s exaggeration of a meme but I’ve never had an unfair death to bugs on bedrock pc
You are lucky, at some point it happened to me a lot, now it is stable, i don't randomly die anymore each time i go thought a new nether portal for the first time
I used to play the switch Version (which really nobody knows how to optimize switch games so ya know) but even then the bugs arnt THAT bad
I never got a random death bug, but I've died a lot during loading screens (once I got pushed into water after opening the world, all the other times I tried to go to the nether and got killed before loading in)
But ig it balances out because once I fell from pretty high up and didn't take any damage. I thought maybe some nearby water saved me but I heard the hitting the ground sound effect so idk

I hate the inventory glitch where for some reason items will be stuck to a slot. I have to rejoin every time to fix it...
I usually get around that by being patient. If I pick-up more items or add things to my inventory, the bug usually goes away.
Why don't they just add the ability to exit without saving? This plus like 15 minutes auto save would make bedrock at least playable.
Both features removed from legacy to bedrock :(
If you really want to play bedrock without bugs. Just play on a pc or a new gen console. Never experience bugs on a series x but switch is often buggy since its like 8 years old now
They should keep the Cherry pig bug!! Pigs are pink, cherry grove is pink… it makes sense!!
I knew there was something weird about the skeletons firing speed!
Also one thing I can say, especially for the nether, enemies feel like they spawn way too much. Don't know if its a bug, but man its a little absurd, especially with ghasts.
Raise your simulation distance off of 4. Never have it on 4.
The Nether spawn rates has been on the bug tracker for a while, I barely see any ghasts in videos of java edition but I constantly had 2 targeting me in bedrock.
This may be because of how mob spawning works in bedrock edition (I believe it's much more localized around the player for performance reasons)
1 the paddles move faster than on java
2 Theres no rowing sound effect
3 the hands should move down when in first person when rowing
You should do a video focusing on those lag-related bugs that cause people to die randomly, those deaths seem random but they are usually caused by some sort of server-client desync that is a lot more common on lower-end devices and consoles. You may not be able to replicate them on your PC but as a large bedrock creator, talking about it may help bring more awareness to the issue and what the causes are. It also might incentivize the developers to prioritize the issue. It's one of the main reasons that bedrock is known as bugrock.
Yeah. People think that those are bedrock's coding bugs, but are actually server-client related
@CubeCat1908 yeah but that stuff's all code too so they aren't wrong
8:10, SB737 got this bug in his bedrock hardcore video! Check it out for yourself!
he got in java fool
13:25 They release a load of betas but still accidentally gives the wrong rarity to items
Maybe bedrock is just written differently to java, some of these bugs may not be bugs, because it may just be that the way bedrock is written it just does it that way, just because it is different that java it doesn't mean that it is a bug
The only minecraft game where heart attacks are an actual game mechanic huehuehue
Thats a cool video idea
Unfortunately, I am not satisfied with the selection of bugs.
If you could, could you explain these bugs?
Armor trims have a similar bug to the shield bug. Ive gotten it so often.
I never experienced any of those in over 7 years playing this game

The magma block one is a bug because the damage you take currently would be the damage you would take underwater if you were standing on it
A few months ago, some of my friends started a Minecraft Relm.
14:47 it also goes through candles!
Is a efficiency 1 cauldron a bug? I found it at the mansion
It's a longstanding bug that seems to change item every update. Toycat has mentioned it frequently.
Couple of thoughts:
1. You missed during the first night that on hard mode spiders don't spawn with potions effects. (But you did mention it in a previous bug video a few months ago)
Nah, what we need to complain about (though it's a parity issue, not a bug) is that we can't use banners to mark locations on maps like Java players
I started playing Minecraft via the windows edition I used to think that the bedrock game ran better but now I play java with optimization mods and it runs nearly 2x better than base bedrock ever did
So relived to learn that the map icon is a bug, I thought Mojang was just trying to make bedrock players lives harder
Ok, now do this on the Java Edition
It's insane how so many bugs that I thought were features were actually real bugs, and there's so much subtle bugs that I didn't know about. That's insane!
Some of these reported as bugs, but just cuz it's different than java doesn't mean it's a bug
It's a Bedrock Feature that broke recently, but it has been broken on java for a lot longer
I still love bedrock edition even with bugs
Yeah, Java players think Java doesn't have any bugs
@CubeCat1908java bugs are called features and ignored. a big example is quasi connectivity. used to be a bug but now it’s intentional
Well sprinting and jumping makes more sense to not move around in the air, look at any sports that involves it

Bedrock has been stitched up like some horrific monster to stop a few key exploits... Considered features on java 😂😂😂😂
5:50 that slab brightness bug is SO annoying.
I've noticed that sometimes the sky looks like a night vision night time sky during the day. I think its related to the conduit.
Do you mean that the sky turns grey???
@CubeCat1908 Yes. The blue sky goes a weird grey colour. When I leave the world and rejoin, the sky returns to being blue. Very odd.
@BennyBoy025 yeah that happens to me! I think its a visual bug actually related with raining because it only happens to me sometimes when it rains, and i dont have a conduit in my world 😅 so I think rain is the issue
I think the conduit gives some night vision to help you see underwater better. I might be mistaken though.

Yeah
The skin one is actually a feature.

If it's in your hotbar, drop a block from the stack. If that doesn't work, or if it's in your inventory, pick up an item of the same type
@crimsoncapricorn188 the one in the slot bar works but when its in my inventory even picking up a item of the same time does'nt work sometimes as the game refuses to stack them together
@@Silver_storm15 maybe, if you have multiple stacks of the same item, drop all but the bugged one?

Boats can't travel up a pixel. A whole block and even a half block I get but it not being able to go from path block to a regular block won't work
Here are some of the most FRUSTRATING bugs imo:
The Ghost Item glitch
This one is super common in survival, sometimes your stack gets bugged and you cant interact with it.
Slimes and Magma Cubes
They keep their jump momentum when you kill them, and while they're dead and hurdling towards you, THEY STILL HAVE A HITBOX
Soul Sand Valley
The skeleton spawn rates are WAY higher than it is in java.
Like WAY WAY higher
Soul sand valley on bedrock is awful.

Java speed runners use help from a piechart while looking through their much easier nether
Minecraft Bugrock edition when you try to play the game as intended:
play it on new gen consoles and literally none of these happen
Is scaffold clutch death a thing now? Lol i died from scaffold clutch no one told me it changed... I dont recall the change log 😂😂
I cannot tell what the fall damage mechanics are supposed to be with scaffolding
Bar the aesthetic issues, I’ve only ever had one major bedrock glitch in memory since it’s release, involving a desync with a chest causing ghost items.
They should add a compass that lets you know the cardinal directions
My favourite bugs I've experienced (I'm a ps console player, so I use bedrock) have to be when I can't move an object out of my inventory because it just zips right back to its slot in my inventory when I try to move it at all, and when I load up the game and some of my inventory has disappeared (I lost half a stack of sponges this way). I didn't realise the fix for this second bug is to log out and log back in again and the things will be back
I miss 4J
I just hope they can fix the falling through the world at large distances bug
My biggest annoyance with bedrock comes from boats.
I am glad they don’t require a shovel to craft anymore.
The health of the boat is still insane though. The worse part, it takes massive amounts of durability from your tools if you want to do more damage and even more so if you spam click.
7:46 that'd gotta be the smallest tree ever
I haven't played Bedrock as long as Java, but I never really notice any bugs in it beyond placing & destroying invisible blocks. It definitely runs smoother & faster.
Anyways, I got a request for your next seeds video. Can you please find badlands biome surrounded by rivers or ocean, with a lake in the middle, with some nearby savannah trees, & a nearby desert village? ALSO.... Can you do a test & see if Bedrock villagers have worse pathfinding & cliff edge avoidance than Java villagers?
