    Dude. Loving all your content about the Ranger! Help me out quite a fair bit too in my own mods. I think the turbos' performance is limited by the wastegate. A better compressor might give faster turbo spool ups and probably smoother too. I've since upgraded my injectors and also a larger intercooler so the turbo is the next time in line for performance upgrade though to fully capitalize on the upgrades I'd like to think a tune+dyno is needed

    I like you videos so much bro. I have px1 like yours 2.2. Your videos helps me too much especially the conversion to t7. I think you felt the difference in the mid range because the hard hot side pipe reduces the turbo lag because of the less travel of the air. I dont see too much difference in turbos. Better now to have water injection system with tune 👍. Worth it 😉

    I notice you no longer run a catch can, is there a reason why you removed it?

    One thing i would recommend while you had the manifold off.
    Is to match port the manifold flange hole to the turbo flange hole.
    The manifold one is alot smaller hole than the turbo one.

      ive got a spare manifold, might give this a try

    Hahaha that hotside plastic pipe is a nightmare on the 3.2. I used a reciprocating saw to cut mine in half just to get the thing out! Little bit disappointing to not have more of an affect. Although when I initially saw the new turbo wheel size and that it looked pretty much the same size as the standard one I wasn't expecting anything major from it.

    Keep up the good work.. greetings from Kenya 🇰🇪. I have a 2021 px3 2.2 single cab ranger. In terms of mods will a billet turbo and intercooler upgrade without a tune make any difference? I have heard that ford made some mods in the ecu to make it difficult to tune from OBD. Means the ecu needs to be benched to tune. Since I’m avoiding an ecu tune, will these mods in your opinion make any difference?

    Thanks for the vids mate!
    Quick one: when I pit load on the turbo, after a bit it starts making a “horn” noise. Any ideas why?
    Cheers

    Q. On the oil feed line, did either end of the line have a fine mesh screen ?? Curious to compare this set up Vs other ford engine

      @ellis4175 hey yea there is but something wrong with the part numbering. After a turbo replacement it had this airleak sound that i assumed was on the inlet side. Turns out it was a missing exh gasket 🤦‍♂️

    Your contents have, no doubt, become irresistible on TH-cam, thank you.
    My Ranger, after scanning, showed p0341, I've replaced the cmp and the code persists. I've also checked to know if power gets to the sensor, reset timing but none of these resolved the issue. Pls what should I do? Thank you

    • @abdautomotive
      @abdautomotive  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      so you've replaced the cam shaft position sensor? is the car going into limp mode while driving?

    • @OluwasijibomiMuyiwaBolan-ht1ub
      @OluwasijibomiMuyiwaBolan-ht1ub 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@abdautomotive yes it does almost immediately it started. In fact, as I write to you, the vehicle wouldn't start anymore because, in the course of diagnosis, I've loose the valve tray and I don't know the bolts torque specs. Would be able to help me with the specs?

    • @abdautomotive
      @abdautomotive  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@OluwasijibomiMuyiwaBolan-ht1ub from the code you mentioned , it's a cam shaft position sensor.

    • @OluwasijibomiMuyiwaBolan-ht1ub
      @OluwasijibomiMuyiwaBolan-ht1ub 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@abdautomotive my surprise is that, I've replaced with new cmp yet the code persists. Once the engine is started, it would go into limp home mode almost immediately. Because I've replaced the cmp, I thought it could be a problem with impulse ring so, I removed the camshaft rocker cover, by the time it was reinstalled the vehicle started and ran well but later when I decided to start it again, it wouldn't start again. So I believe that the tightening torque was wrong, therefore valves may not be opened at the right time or close at the right time. Thanks for your time always

      Hi bro, always change your engine oil earlier @ 5000 km with filter to avoid oil sludge or even soot which can easily clog the DPF after a while for sure, that's what i'm doing, i'm using 15W40 oil, intervals @ 5000 km with filter and no issues.

    • @user-cb5xu4oy7t
      @user-cb5xu4oy7t 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@abdautomotive
      Bro, nothing called 15k oil change in the logic, after a while, your engine will die... Dealers are playing this game with their customers to break their engines after the warrantey ends !!! You want your engine to stay healthy, clean & strong for very very long time with much less issues ??? Always change the oil with filter @ 5k if you haul and pull, or even 7k if your driving is normal. Always put the highest quality oil available in the market and don't go for cheap, pay more for quality oils and get peace of mind for free !!
