As she witnesses billabongs drying up and sees boab trees stop bearing fruit in Western Australia's north west, traditional owner Dr Anne Poelina reminds us to Wake Up the Snake - to revive the collective consciousness and work harmoniously with nature to restore the planet in this critical decade. Dr Anne Poelina is a Traditional Custodian of Nyikina Warrwa Country around the Fitzroy River in Western Australia's West Kimberley region. Anne's internationally-recognised advocacy in human rights and earth justice rights has always highlighted the sacred relationship between humans and the natural world. Dr Poelina is signatory to the 2010 Redstone Statement which calls for all citizens and organisations of the world to act together to restore the balance essential for continued human existence.
