You are so amazing Kylie, I am binging on your videos. I found you years ago when I was daydreaming of moving to Italy from Austria. I am Colombian and grew up in the states. We moved here with my husband, but Italy has always been my dream. Last year in December on my birthday visiting Italy for the first time, he finally agreed that we would move. We will be moving next year and I am so excited about this journey. I am also excited to have seen how YOU have built your dream, and how you got your happy Italian fairy tail. It makes me smile to see you with your beautiful little family, renovating a historical house and being a mum. You feel like a long-distance friend, and I thank you for that. Much love!
I am still so shocked how such a quality content doesn't get as much views as it should ! Also another video about most usefull phrases and the top mistakes would be just amazing! I keep sharing your videos with people that I think could get so motivated, thank you for this boost of motivation once again and good luck with everything, Kylie!
Asta Sub oh you are so cute - I wish I could hug you. Some days it is disheartening to spend weeks filming and editing and then see that a video only results in THREE new subscribers BUT I do enjoy the whole process so it's a pleasure to create and share my work and then if people watch and consider subscribing it's a bonus! 😊
Everytime I watch your videos it lights a fire of excitement in my belly. I'm moving away to Morocco by myself in about 8 weeks and I honestly cannot wait. Thanks so much for your beautiful videos xxx
Ciao Kylie! My name is Daisy and I'm living in Vancouver Canada. I have to take a moment to tell you how much your videos inspire me. It all began with my Italian exchange friends who influenced their beautiful language and culture on me, then in August I had the opportunity to travel alone to Italy and experience it all for myself. I fell in love with the language, the people, their lifestyle and overall just how they really take their time to enjoy things in life that sometimes get overlooked over here in North America. I even had my first love with an Italian man who was visiting here in Vancouver & then we later traveled part of Italy together!! After being enriched in the Italian lifestyle I made it my goal to return permanently for university! I plan to move to milano in about a year and a half :) the first episode of this series was the first video of yours I watched, and it truly felt like you were talking right to me through the screen! I began to just cry & cry after hearing someone give me the courage and motivation to keep my dreams about moving to Italy real. I can honestly say that everyday I think about Italy, everyday I look at the inspiration boards hung up in my room & every day I practice 45 minutes of Italian! It helps to have many Italian friends surrounding me that support everything I'm doing ❤️ and especially you Kylie! Thank you so much for your wonderful content, you are inspiring me so much and I look forward to watching more. Buon viaggio Bella 🇮🇹
You were always my idol in Rome with how well you were speaking Italian. Finally my Italian is coming along due to just getting honest with myself and pushing myself more each and every day. Great tips!!!!! I will put these into my language study and pass on to others who are asking me how did you learn Italian. Tante cose belle cose!!!!!!!!!!
Tamara Castillo aw... you're so lovely to write this! You're my idol and motivation every time I feel lazy and can't be bothered keeping my body healthy or fit AND any time organising visas and finding work gets too overwhelming in Italy I think of you making it all on your own in Sicily and what an incredible independent woman you are and it gives me the courage to keep hustling and keep hoping! So it's great to see the love flows both ways!! 💪🏽💋🇮🇹
Kylie, oh my gosh! I'm half italian and it's always been my dream to one day return to the country ( I live in Australia too ) and visit all my family and understand and converse with them. I am not fluent in the language and have visited Italy only twice but I feel my connection with my heritage is very strong. Your videos inspire me to keep going with my dictionarys and in all to keep going with life, in hopes of finding that higher meaning. You deserve all the love and support in the world and I'm going to be sharing your videos and experiences to friends and family as I strongly believe that you have amazing talent and all your struggles and triumphs will be rightly done by and more people should be aware of what your doing. Andare avanti e l'invio di amore!
Your videos are amazing and really inspiring. As someone looking to make the move to Italy you're content has been so helpful! I also COMPLETELY agree about the adrenaline hit, I felt that many times per day during my stays in Italy! Sometimes its the simplest things, like you said ordering a coffee and being understood, and in that moment, it's perfect. Looking forward to watching more!
I have been dreaming of Italy for years now! You are such a motivation factor to me. THANK YOU!!! Been a language professor, I cannot agree more with you on how to learn Italian! I love your videos You are so talented ! BRAVA
Thank you Kylie!! I really love and appreciate these videos! Living in Spain/Argentina has been my dream for over 2 years and you have articulated my feelings MUCH better than I have been able too. I hope that you continue to live your dreams and also I hope that you reap the benefits from all people you have inspired! All the best :-)
You're the only person I know that uses the exact same language-learning methods I do with DVDs and news! From one polyglot to another, thank you for uploading this, and thanks for all your other videos. You are an inspiration! Now, I wanna' see if your tactics on moving to Italy can work for me too!
I am one month into learning the Italiano language. I am proud of how much I have already learned by doing much of what you shared in how you immersed yourself with the language. I have mostly learned through others you tube videos and a few books. Because of looking at those I discovered your channel and thoroughly am enjoying your videos. Grazie!
I live your positivity and your attitude. Your videos give me so much courage and inspiration which encourage me to go for love and prepare me for moving to foreign country, Spain, in the future. Keep up the good work! Thanks!
Hey Kylie! Thank you so much for making me write my second comment on youtube ever! You just made me so incredibly happy with this video, I don't think you can understand! I moved to Italy exactly three weeks ago since the love of my life is Italian, and it has been amazing but it is also been a struggle. I am a nerd like you so I love to study, but this week once I got sad because someone couldn't understand me and dropped the conversation while I was trying so hard. You brought me new motivation and overall positivity. Grazie mille!
Marouscha Lorena Dorenbos Ahhh! This is fantastic! Don't worry, it gets so much easier. I've written an article called The One Thing No Expat Tells You on Romeing.it all about how hard it can be as an expat in Italy and you will see so many people in your position agreed so you're not alone!! Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment! 😘😘😘
You are so awesome!! Thanks for the motivation. I am moving to Italy next fall to complete my master’s degree and I am looking to purchase a home there. You inspire me to take that chance...I also understand completely what you mean when you say that you didn’t want to leave Italy. I lived in Arezzo (Tuscany region) a few years ago, and I felt the same way when leaving. I just found your videos by being recommended by TH-cam & will continue to watch. Thanks!
I just stumbled on your U tube videos and found myself watching them all. May I say with much fondness and honesty that your comments and information on life in Italy was so beautiful and coming from a women with more passion in her finger than most with their body I loved how you portrayed yourself, and how you explained that it’s not all wonderful as this is life and it’s how you live it that allows you to be the person you love most. . I found your personality to be so honest and truthful and coming from an Italian Pohm who now lives in Brisbane, I loved every moment. I found myself drawn to the country that has always been firmly positioned in the centre of my heart. I too would love to spend the rest of my years somewhere in this adorable place, just have a few things to sort out. 😁 I would very much love to retire in Italy as I spent a lot of my childhood on holidays there. And I’ve never since felt more alive than I did when I was there. The passion, the heart and soul of the towns its, its, well its LIFE..... THANK YOU KYLIE 😊
Absolutely love all of your vlogs! I too have a passion for Italy and your tips for learning the Italian language are bang on. My background is Italian, which helped since I grew up listening to my relatives speak Italian and listening to Italian music. Your vlogs make me lust for Italy myself! I try to go once a year in the summers to get my fix.
Jen B amazing! Thank you. It's always nice to hear when people who actually know Italy well and know Italian or have Italian heritage enjoy my videos because you're a much harder audience to impress or engage!! A summer fix is a good balance!!
I hope to be like you when I'm older you are seriously my biggest inspiration!! What a beautiful and exciting outlook on life! Each of your videos make me want to chase my dreams that much more.
wow I so resonate with everything you said, tears started flowing as you were speaking about why not try it? I grew up with watching Italian cartoons and became fascinated with the language since my childhood, then went to University in my country (Eastern Europe) to study Italian, but after graduating I moved to the U.S. Now, after visiting Rome, all my love for Italian started coming back to me, I am inspired by you, and started thinking if I should follow passion...
Talking about learning a language in order to show you're looking for more serious and lasting relationships: don't waste a single minute with spanish. Come to Argentina and I'll marry you immediately, even if you speak only klingon. And seriously: lovely video, as usual...
You are beyond brilliant my friend ! It takes so much perseverance and hard work to study a language in an unconventional way. You are truly unbelievable !...and inspiring ofcourse
I'm planning on spending a couple months in Italy this summer with my great aunt and she speaks ZERO English so I am really trying to learn before I go, thank you SO SO much for this video, its helping me so much and that really means the world to me ❤
You are an extremely talented filmmaker. I appreciate how you share your struggle but still manage to give an objective coverage of what it might take to absorb a new culture and be successful.
I enjoy watching you. I am an American. My family is from the Campagna region of Italy. I love Italy & I love all your advice on this beautiful country , it's beautiful people & fantastic food. Lisa Brooklyn , NY
lisathegreaser thanks Lisa! Lucky you having Italian heritage! You can probably not have the dramas most Australians and Americans go through with getting a visa for Italy! And you must have heard Italian from your family growing up?
Love this video, and I can really relate to your reflections and tips. Stayed in Milano and ufortunately I did not learn Italian as good as I should. Learning the language is really the key factor.
Arne Fangberget thank you. I have only ever spent a small amount of time in that city although it does intrigue me. I guess in Milan everyone (at least in the centre) is a lot more international and cosmopolitan so I imagine it would be harder to find Italians willing to converse with you in only Italian as they're often fully bilingual. So it's not your fault! ☺️
yet another beautiful video, truly help and one can use the advices even if you are travelling to other countries not only italy, so thank you Kylie, specially for sharing the truth even your personal experience, not like some other videos or bloggers who make it sound like its all rainbow 🌈 and sunshine
Mohammed Sbenati I truly appreciate this comment. I want to let people know that going after a dream is a rollercoaster and remind everyone that no matter how HAPPY I am or how many beautiful experiences I am lucky enough to have, we ALL have days when we feel defeated or alone or depressed. I am so glad you see this in my work. 🙏💕
This is absolutely one of my favorite videos of all time and I relate to almost everything you mention in the video when it comes to my experience with Catalan and Spanish in Barcelona. There's something so fulfilling/empowering about the small victories in a foreign language and connecting with natives and building relationships in that language. It's so hard to fully capture exactly how the experience is, and you do an amazing job at it. In regards to relationships in the foreign language, I actually also find that if I am going to commit to a long-term relationship, there has to be some knowledge of English from both parties, not necessarily for verbal communication, but so that that person can better understand me as an individual, my sense of humor, my culture, and how my brain works. Also thank you for including the bit about films and music in foreign language. I've been doing the same for years and the amount of difference it makes is unreal. I also often put Hollywood movies that I've seen before and somewhat know the dialogue into a foreign language so that I can learn from there, but the transition from English to foreign subtitles is spot on. The music is also very true and I often find myself not only sitting down and reading lyrics while listening to music, but also subconsciously studying while driving or walking and listening to foreign music. This video truly describes what it's like and gives the best language learning advice.
Yes, we would love more ideas, tips and phrases that you have used to learn Italian. Love the movie idea! Thank you! Grazie milli! You are an inspiration! Yes....we can do this!
Vicki Krieger thank you sweet Vicki. I was a little reticent because I thought perhaps people would prefer specific tips on phrases from a real Italian so it's good to know there is interest in this. 😘
I am so glad I found your channel! I am moving to Italy in 2 Months (it was meant to be earlier but then covid happened). Your videos have been really useful and actually has made me feel a lot better (I was really nervous about making this journey). I have been studying Italian for ages now and it feels like I am not really progressing much more. But my partner (who is Italian) tells me I am. I guess you get to the stage where you stop seeing the huge jumps that you do at the start.
I have never commented on a video, but now I have to do it because I want to say thank you..you are so inspirational positive person that makes me feel like everything is possible. I am about to move to Italy and so I am really grateful I have found you and could listen your experience because it has helped me a lot. I love you and I can't wait for another video! Hope you are doing well ♥
I’m so pleased I have found your videos :) I’m more excited to possibly make a move to Italy and learn Italian. I noticed the movies with subtitles idea as well when visiting my home country and it’s a great tip! I admire your ability to stay true to yourself and your passions, while hustling and finding ways to make money. Keep doing what you do, and likeminded people will gravitate to your material and videos and I promise you are making a huge difference to their lives. ✨
Kylie, I can`t compliment you enough! I loved your first two videos about moving to Italy and I absoluty love this one as well! I`ve lived abroad half of my life. Italian is my third foreign language I`m learning and I absolutely love it! I`m as excited about Italy and it`s language as well as it`s culture as you and I could go on about this subject forever... but instead I just want to say thank you for the great videos and especially your enthusiasm! Keep up the great work and stay the way you are! Ps: yours is the first channel on youtube I`m going to subscribe to ;-).
Though it is now 2021, I resonate so much with what you produce on the channel. I realized that I need to learn the language as it opens doors to new possibilities and gaining a deeper understanding of the culture. I know I will go back, I hope soon and want to take on the challenge like you did. Your videos are awesome and as someone who lived in Milan before, it's really spot on. Thanks for doing this, for all of us. Hope you are well. Grazie mille :)
Yay!! I was patiently waiting for this video. I've been trying to learn everyday and I just hope that one day I can speak fluently. It's such a gorgeous language :)
RadcliffeWatson thank you for waiting - sorry it took so long. I had some unexpected challenges come up. I know it's tough when you're dreaming of being fluent and struggling with the boring grammar and vocab but keep going - one day you wake up and suddenly it all makes sense and comes to you naturally.
Omg Kylie you are such a radiant ball of inspiration!!! I've just moved to Italy and I'm in that super excited/kinda anxious state, but ready to jump right into the language, life and hopefully, eventually love :-). Love the brilliantly nerdy date flowchart is so brilliantly nerdy. I'm sitting in a quaint little Monti winebar/bookshop needing out myself a bit over a mostly picture-based Italian comic that I am determined to fully comprehend/decode. Keep 'em coming and would totally love to see a vid on useful phrases. * that's common mistakes video gave me some awesome guidelines to keep in mind ie. bueno/bella/bellimissa! :-D
Awww... Hi Kylie, You are the great inspiration person to do video sharing for your personal experience of all you survive in Rome.. I got admission at University of Rome and I feels little fear how I am moving to the new place?? You make me more move to step by step..!! Keep making your effort..!! I just click on the button on Subscribe and likes for your videos, cling bell icon too..!!
Wow this is the kind of detail I’ve been looking for on how to help yourself learn a language. It’s a great tip. You are so passionate. I love it. I just discovered you now because of your Iran videos and here I am getting more out of your channel. I wish I was as motivated and fearless when I was your age. 👍👍👍 new subscriber here and I already shared some of your videos 😆
Hey Kylie - just discovered your channel and I'm loving your energy! I'm just about to move to Italy myself, so I'm glad that it looks like I've got about two years of your content to prepare myself with! 😂👌 Love your tips in this video by the way! I often use films to keep my German and French fresh, but never thought of your once-with-english once-with-italian, twice-with-italian approach! Will certainly be stealing that one.
Don't know why this video was in my recommended list.. Anyway I'd like to let you know that not only is your accent flawless, you've also aquired a perfect Italian cadence. Had you not said you were Australian, I would have thought you were Roman or from Central/Southern Italy. Complimenti davvero!
Loved the video! Really inspiring. I totally agree with what you say about learning languages. That´s how I really started to undestand english (I am fron Argentina and an we speak spanish here). When I was in highschool and youtube did not exist 😅. I used to search the lyrics of the songs I liked it and listen to the series with english subtitles... I might no speak it perfectly but I undestand it all and when I am in any other country they undestand me 😆Also, I agree about enjoying about little things of life. Even sometimes you can feel bad about a particular thing , focusing on the good ones (even they are "little") or about any progress it helps to feel a little better. Honestly even I will watch any video that you make I appreciate much more when you share local (italian) things, interviews or your vision of the world more than italian phrases. But any of your videos is a MUST so just keep doing them!! :D
Wanda Ch I would LOVE to visit Argentina - it is high on my list this year! I am so glad you agree with what I said. I too remember learning languages before TH-cam back when I was living in Japan and still writing handwritten letters to my family back home and listening to CDs in my Walkman!!! 😊
Hey Kylie! I just found your channel and I am inspired. I am going to start saving and hopefully save up enough money to move to Italy in the next few years. This is my dream and as soon as I have the opportunity I'm going to do it. Thank you! I speak pretty good Italian so I already have a leg up! Now just for a job:) thanks again!!!!!
" you feel this sense of triumph " Wow. Not only have I never felt this in my life, it has never been considered as something attainable. Obviously, I have accomplished some things, completed some difficult tasks and maybe overcome some obstacles like everyone else. But to have the confidence, self esteem and adventure to feel I am worthy of triumphs or to reach such heights is absurd to me. Comfort zone, worst case scenario and sense of security all scream coward to the me in my 20's but now a couple of decades later I have fooled myself into thinking I am being prudent and practical. I love your videos and even though they lead to painful self reflection, I hope my self pity will succumb to the inspiration you so skillfully and passionately supply.
Che interessente! Going to a foreign country that you love and trying to fit in, become accepted, a part of the community is a real dream. When I started to travel to Italy I got an Italian phrase app and practiced when going in and out of work on the train. When in Italy I carried a phrase book with me. One day 2 woman jumped out of a taxi and one said to the other 'Ciao Regazza!' I immediately opened up my phrase book to see what she had said. It's important when travelling to learn simple phrases and words (Where is the bathroom? Pardon me. Left and right, etc.) My best moment was is Positano when down on the dock and trying to book a boat trip, I spoke in Italian. The woman manning the both immediately launched into Italian. I had to stop her and go on in English. Later she said to me "I really thought you were Italian!" It took the rest of my day to get that smile off my face. Another video would be great Kylie. Gratzie Mille. ( oh and Bella, I would have enjoyed your video more if you hadn't of been so hideous looking ) LOL. Vi auguro una buona giornata. Ciao ciao.
I love how passionate you are, and I'm passionate about learning Italian, i like your videos, the editing is so amazing! You have the small details that make us feel cozy and welcomed in your world, a picture of the sink, running water tap, opened window, white certain... omg it's never boring to watch. I've enjoyed watching them so far, appreciate the hard work put into them. I'm happy that I've bumped into one of your videos that was about moving to Italy. Ma come si chiama il film con sottotitoli in italiano ?
Wow Bella brava, I'm polyglot myself and also very determined when learning a new language, so your tips are exactly what I do, this is awesome video ❤️I went to Lisbon determined to learn Portuguese , loved your date language plan , that's awesome, I must confess that one of the best ways to integrate in the culture is meeting a local man you like 😉haha xx
aww I love it so much! I can feel the enthusiasm! I also get that feeling to explore because we only get this one life in which we don't know when it will end so might as well try to experience as much as you can if you're fortunate enough to do so! :)
Hi Kylie, I'm loving your videos!! They are great! I am preparing to move to Italy, and would be very grateful if you could make a video with frases for renting a house or things you remember was importante to know when you just moved.Thank you so much for your sharings!
So cute and such a good idea how you wrote all down before the date! And you are so right, I made the 'mistake' to start in English with my now boyfriend, also because he really wanted to improve his English. But now our language is English, I try so many times to convince him to only speak Italian to me but to make that change is difficult. And where do you find Italian movies with English subtitles? I searched in the past but without succes. And which movies would you recommend? :) Xoxo
Yes! Please do a brief language lesson for intermediate learners, including some songs or films that you started with in order to learn Italian.. would mean the world to many of us 😃
You're an inspiring person, you're the kind of person you'd like once in a lifetime meetYou seem to have a lot of fun. A very good idea to go around the rv. I wish one day this chance to meet you.
The effort you went to in order to learn Italian...wow. Good for you, that's intense. I was in Italy less than a year ago to get married and have my honeymoon. I made a video series as well. You have amazing videos btw.
I loved every second of this vídeo kylie..i can relate it so much to myself when i was learning english and specially when i was forced to learn Spanish to be able to talk with my colombian friend hahaha..i could understant her but i was not able to answear her questions in Spanish but her portuguese was none and her english was very poor at that time hahah, so when she called me on Skype for the first time i had no chose...i still remember her mother's laugh hahaha, and i keep learning because everyday there is a new thing to learn and to keep practecing !!! and like you i used and keep using musics and movies , but in my case, almost all without subtitle or with a diferente subtittle of my native language, because finding them with portuguese subtittle is not too easy haha, like a movie in italian with english ou Spanish subtitle or an english one with Spanish subtitle but most of the time with no subtitle because nowadays i dont need to read the subtitles to understand an english movie or anything in Spanish and italian is a beautiful language i use to listen since i was a little girl because i love music and specially italian one and here we listen italian songs more often than Spanish ones so italian language is a little bit familiar to me and i keep learning day by day and hopefuly one day i'll be able to speak italian like you did in this vídeo, by the way, i loved it when you spoke in italian hi Rome, i'm back !!!!! ..and other little things i understood ..Will you keep uploading the rest of the answears for that questions? i'm still curious about the answear of my question...i asked that because a lot funny things happened with me, specially when i went to Madrid 1 year ago and nobody was able to understand my portuguese and i had to speak in Spanish all the time and make the translation into english when i was talking with someone that didn't speak Spanish..Un bacio to my dear lovely straniera/extranjera/estrangeira dreamer friend !!!
Ilnara Calou ahhhh always beautiful to hear your stories and thoughts. Yes, I find phone conversations in a foreign language the most intimidating of all!! It is quite a challenge to understand someone when they're not in front of you. I would get so nervous sometimes I would start a call to someone enquiringly about an apartment and then just freak out and hang up halfway through!! 🙊
Ilnara Calou P.S. I don't know specifically about funny things that have happened to me in my travels but I guess as I remember little things I am trying to put them in my vlogs to remind people that no matter how challenging things get you have to always be able to stop and laugh at yourself!
Yes please, do this, i'll love it and probably will laugh a lot too. Some situations are really embarrassing but we end up laughing a lot after. To me, the most intimidating is to talk with someone in a foreigh language face to face, specially if i get to know this person better because when i don't, i know i probably will not see this person again so if i do some huge mistake it will stay only in that moment hahaha ..so Surely i would crash a little if i had to talk to you face to face for the first time you would have to encourage me hahah..when i said some funny moments happened to me i meant every word..Imagine traveling with your aunt who only speaks Portuguese and she gets lost in the biggest street market in the city and your aunt be approached by gypsies who began to read her hand without her understanding anything and then we almost ran out of money to eat anything after long hours of walking and return to the hotel and also Your aunt having stomach problems because of some foods and she cannot wear any of your shoes because her feet swelled and me having to go to the pharmacy to find, in another language, a medicine that would solve the problem and also having to go shopping any shoes that fit her without having no idea of which size to choose because the size in Europe is not the same here ..lol..so i 100% agree with you that no matter how challenging things get you have to always be able to stop and laugh at yourself. i did a lot ..lol
Thank you soooo much Kylie, I am so inspired by you and am so motivated to learn Italian. Thank you for the encouragement and all these amazing tips :) I love all of your videos and think you are such an incredible, hard-working, talented, and super kind and lovely human being. Thank you for all that you do
You are SO inspiring, omg. Your videos make me so happy and I'm so thankful to have found them. I have a crazy dream...of moving to Positano. (Actually, preferably near Montepertuso). I saw that you had lived there for a little bit, I would love to know more about how you found an apartment there and work. I cannot stop thinking about it ever since I visited, I never thought I'd be in love with a place this much that I ache for it 💔 Any advice about that area would be amazing!!!!! (Or videos!)
i have lived in three different countries, Latvia, germany and italy. in latvia i was an exchange student and was easy but living for years in Germany and italy i know what it means to be an outsider but thing is that after being out for years from my own country i feel aslo in my homecountry like a stranager because i notice how different i am from the pppl here. but living abroad gave me knowledge in several languages and i feel rich in my head.
You are such an inspiration!!! I was wondering, you mentioned it in episode 1 that you had no money and was being kicked out by your landlord, how did you overcome that?
Scout Kirraki 🙈Ugh, it has happened many a time in Italy actually and it's a long story. Sometimes I manically work night and day on freelance jobs to earn extra money and don't sleep for WEEKS and then beg my landlord to give me an extra month to pay. Other times I have had to leave Italy, find work outside and then go back. Another time I had to leave my apartment and move into temporary short term accommodation even though that becomes more expensive over the long term but I knew I had a job coming up but my landlord couldn't wait and trust that it would come through. I have stayed with nuns in a convent in Italy to find a cheaper short term option. Basically I have become comfortable with living from month to month and not knowing what kind of budget I will have throughout the year. Some jobs pay well and I can relax a bit but then I need to ration out the payment for that one job for 6 months. It can be stressful but I prefer this to when I had financial security working in an office back in Australia.
How funny. I hadn't thought of watching an Italian movie with the Italian subtitles but just yesterday I was watching a clip with Eros Ramazzotti and the idea of putting on one of his cds I've got and trying to understand the songs did pop in my head. I've been doing Duolingo for 250+ days and some things still don't make sense to me but I'm getting there.
you are adoreble your every few speech just touching my heart to deeply i would to like learn diffirent kind of laguage from you .when i watched your vlog i honestly i filled your voice or vision keep it on dear
Can you do a more in depth video on your language learning I've been studying for 2 months and can say little bits. I got your 501 Verb book which is abit hard to swallow but I'm sure will help in the long run. Any extra advice on vocabulary and grammar and staying motivated and working through problems. Grazie mille.
Much love!
As a language teacher (I teach Russian and English) I find this video very motivational! Thank you for sharing, Kylie! You are just so precious!
Anastasia Semina ah that's so great to hear! Thank you!!!!
I fell the urge to say thank you, on behalf of all my fellow citizens, for the wonderful representation you make of our country.
two months ago I finally started learning Italian, because you motivated me to do so :)
thank you for that ^^
Maria S. Really?! That's fantastic! Thank you for following my work.
Everytime I watch your videos it lights a fire of excitement in my belly. I'm moving away to Morocco by myself in about 8 weeks and I honestly cannot wait.
Thanks so much for your beautiful videos xxx
b1233ba that feeling in your stomach THAT is the feeling I want to give everyone every time I make a video!!! Thank you for sharing this with me! ✨✨✨
Kylie Flavell dude you're prescence is so warm tell me how to be like you
Kylie, I've never been so inspired by someone. You are by far the most inspirational person I've came across on TH-cam. Thank you.
I have been dreaming of Italy for years now! You are such a motivation factor to me. THANK YOU!!!
Been a language professor, I cannot agree more with you on how to learn Italian!
I love your videos
You are so talented !
Thanks!
You can really tell that you love Italy and Italian. It's so nice to see people talk about something they're so interested in.
I am absolutely loving your channel / content. Your are so authentic and beautiful. I love how you’re eyes have so much light in them - so much joy.
Oscar Zarate I laughed for about 20 minutes over this comment!! You are so funny and sweet!! 😂😍
I may die in peace now. No way I'll feel more satisfied EVER.
You are beyond brilliant my friend !
It takes so much perseverance and hard work to study a language in an unconventional way.
You are truly unbelievable !...and inspiring ofcourse
Nidhi K you're so very kind (and that's a beautiful pic of you and your dog!). 💕💕💕
I'm going to go home and start learning tonight. I'm so determined and motivated. Thank You! 😘
You inspire me so much to learn Italian and pursue my dream to go back to Italy some day!! Grazie mille!
I'm planning on spending a couple months in Italy this summer with my great aunt and she speaks ZERO English so I am really trying to learn before I go, thank you SO SO much for this video, its helping me so much and that really means the world to me ❤
Spot on tips!!!!!!
Ciao Manu!
Lisa
Brooklyn , NY
lisathegreaser thanks Lisa!
Can watch and listen to you all day long, just love your passion. Thank you
Your are so radiating in these clips! It makes the day for everybody watching it! Thank you
This is absolutely one of my favorite videos of all time and I relate to almost everything you mention in the video when it comes to my experience with Catalan and Spanish in Barcelona.
Hope you are doing well ♥
Great video! I'm actually moving to Rome in 2 weeks and am definitely going to use your tip of watching the movies!
Tricia Scarlino so happy you found it useful and how exciting that you're about to move to one of the most beautiful cities in the world! Good luck!
Another great inspiring and educational video. Thank You Kylie!
Chad Straw my pleasure thank you for watching, Chad
Would appreciate more videos on learning Italian like the phrases you used the most!! I'm in the process myself(:
Loved your video as always❤
Krislyn Pandolfi Okay, great to hear! Thank you and good luck with your grammar! 😘📖
Jana Mikusova
Love your way of learning a language and your love of language.
This is an old video so I’m not sure you’ll see this but your videos inspire me so much.
Lovely! I have the same love but to the French language and I will try even harder now to make it work soo much better. You are awesome 😍❤️
Kinga Uggla I had hoped that maybe some of the things I talked about could apply to learning any language so that's great to hear! 💕💕
Love your tips in this video by the way!
CanyoneroAB Wow! What a wonderful compliment to read. I still have far to go with this language so your comment is very encouraging! 🙏
One must give credit where credit is due :)
I would love to move to Italy. Thank you for sharing this amazing videos. Grazie mile. I really enjoy learning a new language it’s so emotional to me.
Kylie Flavell lol. Old school! 😆😘
yes kylie please do those videos with italian u mentioned at the end!!!!
G me you okay, good to know - I am working on something today!
" you feel this sense of triumph "
Wow.
Ciao ciao.
hahaha... that's crazy Kylie!!! the way u learned this language is really full of dedication... 🤗🤗🤗😊😊😊
DEEP SHIKHA I'm just a word nerd 🤓🙈
I love how passionate you are, and I'm passionate about learning Italian, i like your videos, the editing is so amazing! You have the small details that make us feel cozy and welcomed in your world, a picture of the sink, running water tap, opened window, white certain... omg it's never boring to watch. I've enjoyed watching them so far, appreciate the hard work put into them. I'm happy that I've bumped into one of your videos that was about moving to Italy.
Ma come si chiama il film con sottotitoli in italiano ?
Just found your channel. Very inspiring and love your vision.
Just discovered your channel. Great Videos, fantastic connection with your TH-cam audience. Keep creating. Grazie Mille.
Love you kylie 😊 thanks for sharing this information with us 👍.
myfriend48 thank you my friend 😊
myfriend48 p.s. How funny, I wrote 'my friend' before seeing that this is your username!!! 😄
😊😁
aww I love it so much! I can feel the enthusiasm! I also get that feeling to explore because we only get this one life in which we don't know when it will end so might as well try to experience as much as you can if you're fortunate enough to do so! :)
Wonderful video and thanks for the push to study Italian!
:) Xoxo
Yes! Please do a brief language lesson for intermediate learners, including some songs or films that you started with in order to learn Italian.. would mean the world to many of us 😃
I am commenting so many years after the fact, but I completely nerded out over your mind map for the gelato date.
Always inspired by you! BRB ..going to watch La Vita e Bella now 😉
Feather and the Wind ah thanks so much! Means a lot to me. 💕💕💕
so touching Kylie, please do talk about Italian language, and would you recemend the same thing for any other country
sam THANK YOU I am working on that followup video now. Yes, so much of what I advise for Italy I used when living in Spain and Japan.
You're an inspiring person, you're the kind of person you'd like once in a lifetime meetYou seem to have a lot of fun. A very good idea to go around the rv. I wish one day this chance to meet you.
Louis-Martin Ouellet thank you - there is a whole world of inspiring people out there but I'm flattered that you feel this way. ☺️
Such a lovely video. Thank you 😊
The effort you went to in order to learn Italian...wow. Good for you, that's intense. I was in Italy less than a year ago to get married and have my honeymoon. I made a video series as well. You have amazing videos btw.
Please feature italy more!! I'm missing Rome and Florence so much!
Kylie, you and your videos are a delight! :-)
Just ordered 501 Italian verbs! Fantastic idea.
Thank you soooo much Kylie, I am so inspired by you and am so motivated to learn Italian. Thank you for the encouragement and all these amazing tips :) I love all of your videos and think you are such an incredible, hard-working, talented, and super kind and lovely human being. Thank you for all that you do
what's some Italian songs for a playlist I can listen to while working? (I can use headphones)
I am so happy to find you. I want to live there too!

Beautiful video! What is the name of the movie of which you showed the clip with the subtitles? Grazie mille!
Greta G Thank you so much. It is called Parlami D'Amore (Speak To Me of Love) written and directed by and starring Silvio Muccino. 😍📽
