I wish that there was an option to allow you to keep the default weapon appearance regardless of core chip. I intentionally didn't use core chips for most of my playthrough because I didn't want to lose the unique weapon appearances (then Chugga started his LP and I realized why I was losing battles to enemies more than 10 levels lower than me (I was stuck on chapter 7 for so so long...))

Surely, you must have used Morag and Zeke, as they come with a much higher standard auto attack to match the level you are expected to be at when you get them. For real though, I see it as a bonus that the core chips change the weapons' appearance. There are so many great looking weapon designs other than the originals. Btw, if you don't want to put core chips on your blades, you should try using blades with "[enemy category] slayer" skills, as they have a small chance of intantly killing monsters on attack. When I first discovered this, I used this to kill Tirkins in Tantal that were waaaaay above my level, getting be some good loot and loads of exp.
The irony is that she's the only Greataxe that the Moon Matter Chip is actually good on since it always uses the same model regardless of chip. Every other Greataxe in the game requires the Tachyon Chip just to keep the cool designs.
@@angeldude101 all greataxes get extra critical damage for having a tachyon chip, and crit damage is the best possible effect in the game. The appearance being that of their original weapon is just a bonus.
Normally, I'd say around 85% of the time Moon Matter chip is by far the best choice. In this case I preferred to use the Preon chip but considering her critical damage, Tachyon seems to be the best.
^This. I give it a HELL YEAH out of 10. The choreography in this game frankly is like, one of the things that sets it apart. True that it's almost a hallmark of Monolithsoft in general, but it's a standout performance. Now if only they didn't cheap out on the _voice acting_ ....... **shudders.**
I didn't fully understand just how massive her damage boosts can be until I was doing the "Reinventing the Gogol" challenge, and during my final chain attack, she was doing like ten times the damage of any other blade. I took a closer look at her skills, and realized that because I was incapacitated more than five times and the fight started with a bunch of smaller enemies, she had a 900% damage multiplier at the end. Jesus Christ.
Something interesting about KOS-MOS and T-elos is that a few of their Specials are abbreviated names, but they'll call out the full name during use. For KOS-MOS, these are; H-EFFECT R = 'Hillbert Effect Refrain' _[Refrain is also where 'KOS-MOS: Re' and 'T-elos: Re' comes from in Japanese, and 'Refrain' is visibly written on T-elos' headset.]_ F-G-SHOT = 'Full Gatling Shot' And for T-elos: T-SKYLLA = 'Triple Skylla' and U-TENERITAS = 'Ultimum Teneritas', a latin name which translates into 'Ultimate Kindness', which is pretty creepy as it implies that granting the enemy death _is_ T-elos' idea of being kind.
I like that T-elos gained such a huge following despite only appearing in one game and was really just a one note villain. And all of her "character development" came from cross overs.
I like T-Elos a lot, but I think before Challenge Mode her abilities were highly situational and didn't really activate often, there weren't many superbosses with multiple enemies surrounding them aside from Tyrannotitan Kurodil at the time and dying is obviously risky and usually wouldn't occur if you were good. But she's an absolute beast in Challenge Mode because of how it works and is now the best axe in terms of raw DPS (Sorry Zenobia).
I like that her level 2 just has her whip out a pistol and blast the enemy a few times. In a game all about flashy over-the-top super moves it's funny to see something as relatively mundane as that.
I actually really like the Heaven's Tracker ability, it really gives you the chance to strike back brutally after struggling earlier during a fight. When Challenge Mode first came out, I actually played as Tora with a Resurrection Symbol equipped to make frailer party members dying much less of a deal if I had the party gauge at max, and T-elos worked great with this strategy, given her ability and her massive chain attack damage. Suboptimal, sure, but I still liked the strategy.
Huh. Didn’t know that the lvl3 had a different animation in the original game... it seems that we of the T-elos Step On Me association have suffered a great loss...
Hey look, it's our first Calamity Scythe! T-elos is another stellar blade that I just don't use very much. I don't have any particular issue with her, but I just prefer using other Axe blades like Dagas and Zenobia than her. She's a very good blade and I don't have much to say otherwise.
Telos's axe makes me wish that we could equip weapon appearances. I guess this is more of a complaint about KOS-MOS and Corvin having Moon Matter as their best core chip because I like the Zohar cannons and prefer when Halteclere matches Durandal.

Funny story, I've got 3 times more weapon experience on Greataxe with Rex than the Aegis Sword (300,000 vs 100,000 WP). The reason why is because I keep putting Dagas and T-elos on Rex (Dagas for the skill, T-elos for chain attack damage). I guess I should mention that I typically play as Zeke, so I'm not *that* crazy for dealing with Greataxes on Rex.
I think it was smart to make telos and kosmos really strong blades in the base game and honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if they kept them in there for free just to get more people interested in xenosaga so they can eventually do a remaster. I mean it worked for me because I probably wouldn’t even be that interested in xenosaga if they weren’t put in xc2, but now I would play it whenever given the chance.
Recently replayed XC2 and pulled T-Elos early (if I remember correctly she has an unusually high pull rate) and proceeded to absolutely wreck shop with her for the rest of the game - major favorite blade!
T-Elos always comes in early when you reset your file, which has... interesting results, especially since most of her chart is sealed behind a few highly dangerous enemies (at least, dangerous early on). However, she is a very dangerous Axe blade, and few other axes are necessary if her chart is maxed, and Dagas, the main exception, is a utility blade, not a damage one. Now, if only you didn't have to jump 6,000 times...
For some reason, I always read T-elos's "A driver must die to get damage buff" as "the driver she's on must die to get damage buff". Having it pointed out that it can be any driver makes my Demon Orb build much more interesting
Yeah. I thought it was only yourself to get the additive damage but I didn't know it also included other drivers dying to increase your own damage. We are talking about an increase of 800% damage. That's flat damage without counting the 100% annul from specials and other blades like Dagas. I guess Monolith kind of nerfed her a bit regarding the number of hits with her specials but still she hits like a truck.

Axes are so much fun in this game! Three of them are high/top tier and the others uh have cool designs I guess I thought they were trash until I got Zeke and holy shit
I will be co lately honest. Barring T-elos I dont use axes. Like at all. I just dont find their slower fighting style helpful usually. T-elos not withstanding as her damage output makes her worth the slower fighting style
Thanks for all of your guides. Because of them I went back to XB2 and got the dlc. I've managed to beat 2 super bosses which is two more than before I stopped playing. I also managed to summon Telos today. 😄
doesn't the additive stack for the other driver's deaths? If so then you could just have a level 1 Nia with that accessory that starts battles with aggro and the resurrection symbol so you can pop her up everytime you chain attack and just use Tora and Zeke with a sacrificial Driver that just exists to give you damage? If you wanted to go full memes then bring Morag and Zeke with Perun and Telos respectively and just keep killing Nia over and over again for the murder meme strats.
Zeke himself could be level 1. He would have less Strength but it doesn't matter so much since T-Elos has a high auto-attack. Only useful for chain attack builds though, otherwise that's just dangerous.
On this my second play through I started to randomly add jumps whenever I’m travelling anticipating that node on her chart. 300+ hours later I reach end game and got her and discovered I’m still like 1000 short 😂. I deliberately pulled her on Rex so I can have her for my NG+ Thanks to this guide I think I will try the dying strategy to keep at a low level to get more SP for the new and very expensive driver charts 🤔🤔🤔
I think T-Elos being the second most popular xenosaga character definitely has to do with her accompanying Kos-Mos in every crossover appearance. Of course this also applies for xenoblade 2. The two of them are just in more games total than any other xenosaga characters. I remember first meeting kos-mos and t-elos in x zone 2 and then the first one and then next met them here when i finally got around to playing this game. It ended up being one of my all time favorites tho so I may eventually play a xenosaga game. But my point is that before playing xenosaga i have played 3 games where T-Elos appears and none with Shion for example who is like the only other xenosaga character i can name and who is apparently the main character??
Man... I really hope Xenosaga gets some kind of a re-release some day. Would love to add the games to my collection, but can't afford them and don't like my odds of winning. XD
I was waiting for this video after the Kos-Mos one seeing you're a huge Xenosaga fan and T-elos being such a powerful blade from a sheer brute force damage stage point. Tier lists and optimal play aside though, T-elos is my favourite blade in the entire game. Hell, she's one of my favourite characters in the Xeno series/Monoliths games. The funny thing is, the first time I even heard of T-elos and Kos-Mos was in Super Robot Taisen OG Saga Endless Frontier (never released in my region but I had my methods XD). Keep up the videos man, really itching to play this game again despite having other things to do and these videos are managing to fill that void for now 👍
My experience with T-elos is weird, I played xenoblade 2 LONG before I got around to playing xenosaga 3, so after all the buildup I figured T-elos must be ultra super duper important and then she just kinda... showed up, like, three times and then died. So yeah, somehow the blade version who's both optional and ng+ only is a more interesting character than the original she's based on.
you know i just thought about how funny it is that T-elos' max additional special damage is 4.5x KOS-MOS'. I wonder if they thought 4.75 exactly was too messy

Telos is also one of the easiest blades to pull because she has to be the opposite of Kosmos in that regard too. With how OP she can be, I guess monolithsoft thought it fair to leave her in NG+ only.
She's got a base probability of 5%. By the time you're able to pull her after beating the final boss, you can easily have a 1 in 3 chance to get her, it's ridiculous.
@@conorb.1901 I managed to get cressidus as my first NG+ rare blade pull and I think I used a legendary core crystal too. So, even at 5%, which becomes 17% I believe with more luck modifiers, I had to wait a while.

Probably gonna piss people off by saying this but I have T-elos equipped to Nia. And KOS-MOS on Rex. To be fair I havent had time to use KOS-MOS as I have only had her for maybe 5 hours of gameplay and had no way left to swap her to Zeke but I will be switching her over eventually. But T-elos can start on Nia for me. It gets the job done

I just started a new game where i cap myself on what i can use... I'm playing on Normal. I can only play as Rex. I MUST use a Master build of three of the same role blades. Only the AI can use their forced blades. Pouch items are banned, and i MUST overdrive and use a blade to the character that has the role the blade matches... This is all well and good, but i got T-elos as my first rare blade on Rex, and it banned me from using pyra, and since i also could only get one new rare blade per titan/new area, i ended up stuck with JUST using T-elos until i got to Tantal, where i FINALLY got a third attacking rare blade on Rex. As good as T-elos get late in the game, she can be absolute TORTURE to use in the early stages...
3:24 Instead of "guaranteed critical hits", how about "increased critical damage"? Like, say, copying T:TGC Jin's Mind's Eye skill - the best crit-buff skill, maxing out at 80% instead of a 'measly' 50%?

Is there any possibility that you would ever do a full timeline/how the games are connected video once you finish all the series? I really wanna grasp the whole scope of the universe (universes?) and I can't think of anyone better to make me understand everything thats going on.
While it would be cool, there aren't any real connections aside from cameos and references between each series. Each series is separate from each other, and despite how long fans have been trying there is no connected timeline/universe. I think a lore video might be cool though since Enel is one of the highest profile Xeno youtubers out there. (Nudge, nudge, wink, wink) If you want a better understanding of the game's universe I highly recommend checking out Miik's channel. He has some long but in-depth videos on both Xenogears/Xenosaga and Xenoblade (he is still reuploading his older videos so we will have to wait and see if the rest get put out again).
We did the math out and moon matter was better than tachyon if you're running crimson headband. Only thing I didn't account for is crit up blade art but I didn't know the exact crit rate adjustment
So I did it once for KOS-MOS, so should I do it twice? ... yes, why is this even a question? Heartbreaker - Passive Skill - Same Heaven's Tracker - Team Skill - Against Higher LV enemy, Crit +40% PTT - Solo - Same Hidde 4 Skill - Unique - If KOS-MOS is equipped in the same driver all skills and aux core are active when either one is on the field... yes, Im making Blade pairs that broken, tough there are very few of them to begin with, and as mentioned, KOS-MOS version is changing LV4 Special, thus, here it is to the massacre LV4 Special (I cant think of a name in specific, currently Im thinking in something mentioning Nephilim or Resonance) Ether, 950 (+500) ratio, 10 hits, 20 Radius, 60% Crit Mod, 30% Crit Damage Mod , Pierce, 100% Guard-Annul and Limit Break 1 and yes, with this Im adding a new effect that only extreamly few Blades can have and only in Specials LV 4, Limit Break, with each level adding another 0 to the max damage cap, the max being Limi Break 3 and only being on Pneuma, the reason this is only 1 is because I made it a 10 hit, already more than sixtupling the max possible damage when damage Capped as for the apperance, basically KOS-MOS and T-elos clashing with their abilities with the poor enemy trapped in the middle of the onslaught
I did those jumps in Fonset. Just go to the back of Rex's house and there's a little section where the ceiling is extremely low, the jumps are easily like three times faster.
This blade is the perfect example of hitting like a truck. T-elos can easily do like 800% or more damage easily if you include the 100% annul with her specials so yeah...She's my favorite blade in the game along with Kos-Mos but this blade is so broken it makes the game a joke.

I love this blade. Might be my favorite in XC2. She is just the personification of “F you” in everything she does. The more she dies, the bigger the F you. 😂

For some reason, I always read T-elos's "A driver must die to get damage buff" as "the driver she's on must die to get damage buff". Having it pointed out that it can be any driver makes my Demon Orb build much more interesting
Yeah. I thought it was only yourself to get the additive damage but I didn't know it also included other drivers dying to increase your own damage. We are talking about an increase of 800% damage. That's flat damage without counting the 100% annul from specials and other blades like Dagas. I guess Monolith kind of nerfed her a bit regarding the number of hits with her specials but still she hits like a truck.

I will be co lately honest. Barring T-elos I dont use axes. Like at all. I just dont find their slower fighting style helpful usually. T-elos not withstanding as her damage output makes her worth the slower fighting style
Thanks for all of your guides. Because of them I went back to XB2 and got the dlc. I've managed to beat 2 super bosses which is two more than before I stopped playing. I also managed to summon Telos today. 😄

If so then you could just have a level 1 Nia with that accessory that starts battles with aggro and the resurrection symbol so you can pop her up everytime you chain attack and just use Tora and Zeke with a sacrificial Driver that just exists to give you damage? If you wanted to go full memes then bring Morag and Zeke with Perun and Telos respectively and just keep killing Nia over and over again for the murder meme strats.
The resurrection symbol has to be on a different driver. It won't work if they're incapacitated.
Zeke himself could be level 1. He would have less Strength but it doesn't matter so much since T-Elos has a high auto-attack. Only useful for chain attack builds though, otherwise that's just dangerous.

On this my second play through I started to randomly add jumps whenever I’m travelling anticipating that node on her chart. 300+ hours later I reach end game and got her and discovered I’m still like 1000 short 😂. I deliberately pulled her on Rex so I can have her for my NG+ Thanks to this guide I think I will try the dying strategy to keep at a low level to get more SP for the new and very expensive driver charts 🤔🤔🤔
I think T-Elos being the second most popular xenosaga character definitely has to do with her accompanying Kos-Mos in every crossover appearance. Of course this also applies for xenoblade 2. The two of them are just in more games total than any other xenosaga characters. I remember first meeting kos-mos and t-elos in x zone 2 and then the first one and then next met them here when i finally got around to playing this game. It ended up being one of my all time favorites tho so I may eventually play a xenosaga game. But my point is that before playing xenosaga i have played 3 games where T-Elos appears and none with Shion for example who is like the only other xenosaga character i can name and who is apparently the main character??
Man... I really hope Xenosaga gets some kind of a re-release some day. Would love to add the games to my collection, but can't afford them and don't like my odds of winning. XD

I was waiting for this video after the Kos-Mos one seeing you're a huge Xenosaga fan and T-elos being such a powerful blade from a sheer brute force damage stage point. Tier lists and optimal play aside though, T-elos is my favourite blade in the entire game. Hell, she's one of my favourite characters in the Xeno series/Monoliths games. The funny thing is, the first time I even heard of T-elos and Kos-Mos was in Super Robot Taisen OG Saga Endless Frontier (never released in my region but I had my methods XD). Keep up the videos man, really itching to play this game again despite having other things to do and these videos are managing to fill that void for now 👍

My experience with T-elos is weird, I played xenoblade 2 LONG before I got around to playing xenosaga 3, so after all the buildup I figured T-elos must be ultra super duper important and then she just kinda... showed up, like, three times and then died. So yeah, somehow the blade version who's both optional and ng+ only is a more interesting character than the original she's based on.
you know i just thought about how funny it is that T-elos' max additional special damage is 4.5x KOS-MOS'. I wonder if they thought 4.75 exactly was too messy
Maybe for a modding xc2 sequel, give telos guaranteed crits via heaven’s tracker? Or just give her the “the aegis” skill from pneuma’s skill tree lol. Also speaking of pneuma, what if you made pyra, mythra, and pneuma’s skill trees all active at once, as well as maxing out pneuma affinity with a good core chip? I wanna see that crazy dps potential, lol

Telos is also one of the easiest blades to pull because she has to be the opposite of Kosmos in that regard too. With how OP she can be, I guess monolithsoft thought it fair to leave her in NG+ only.
She's got a base probability of 5%. By the time you're able to pull her after beating the final boss, you can easily have a 1 in 3 chance to get her, it's ridiculous.
@@conorb.1901 I managed to get cressidus as my first NG+ rare blade pull and I think I used a legendary core crystal too. So, even at 5%, which becomes 17% I believe with more luck modifiers, I had to wait a while.

Probably gonna piss people off by saying this but I have T-elos equipped to Nia. And KOS-MOS on Rex. To be fair I havent had time to use KOS-MOS as I have only had her for maybe 5 hours of gameplay and had no way left to swap her to Zeke but I will be switching her over eventually. But T-elos can start on Nia for me. It gets the job done

I just started a new game where i cap myself on what i can use...
I'm playing on Normal. I can only play as Rex. I MUST use a Master build of three of the same role blades. Only the AI can use their forced blades. Pouch items are banned, and i MUST overdrive and use a blade to the character that has the role the blade matches...
This is all well and good, but i got T-elos as my first rare blade on Rex, and it banned me from using pyra, and since i also could only get one new rare blade per titan/new area, i ended up stuck with JUST using T-elos until i got to Tantal, where i FINALLY got a third attacking rare blade on Rex. As good as T-elos get late in the game, she can be absolute TORTURE to use in the early stages...

Is there any possibility that you would ever do a full timeline/how the games are connected video once you finish all the series? I really wanna grasp the whole scope of the universe (universes?) and I can't think of anyone better to make me understand everything thats going on.
While it would be cool, there aren't any real connections aside from cameos and references between each series. Each series is separate from each other, and despite how long fans have been trying there is no connected timeline/universe.
I think a lore video might be cool though since Enel is one of the highest profile Xeno youtubers out there. (Nudge, nudge, wink, wink)
If you want a better understanding of the game's universe I highly recommend checking out Miik's channel. He has some long but in-depth videos on both Xenogears/Xenosaga and Xenoblade (he is still reuploading his older videos so we will have to wait and see if the rest get put out again).

We did the math out and moon matter was better than tachyon if you're running crimson headband. Only thing I didn't account for is crit up blade art but I didn't know the exact crit rate adjustment

T-elos the yang to kos-mos's yin never really used her or other dlc blade because I already beat the game and had no major interest in challenge mode.
I dont like using attachments as accessories. I like swapping blades occasionally and i cant be bothered to swap out accessories each time.

yes, Im making Blade pairs that broken, tough there are very few of them to begin with, and as mentioned, KOS-MOS version is changing LV4 Special, thus, here it is to the massacre

and yes, with this Im adding a new effect that only extreamly few Blades can have and only in Specials LV 4, Limit Break, with each level adding another 0 to the max damage cap, the max being Limi Break 3 and only being on Pneuma, the reason this is only 1 is because I made it a 10 hit, already more than sixtupling the max possible damage when damage Capped
as for the apperance, basically KOS-MOS and T-elos clashing with their abilities with the poor enemy trapped in the middle of the onslaught

I did those jumps in Fonset. Just go to the back of Rex's house and there's a little section where the ceiling is extremely low, the jumps are easily like three times faster.

This blade is the perfect example of hitting like a truck. T-elos can easily do like 800% or more damage easily if you include the 100% annul with her specials so yeah...She's my favorite blade in the game along with Kos-Mos but this blade is so broken it makes the game a joke.

Great guide as always enel but on an unrelated note is it possible to one shot super bosses with perun’s defender skill and level one special in a chain attack (kinda like herald)
you can do that with perun but setting her up to do it requires a lot of effort.
