- Crossette is great and definitely worthy of being the first of these guides. Hoping to be able to make similar guides for every blade that cover them all in great detail. If you have any feedback for these please let me know in the comments because I would love to improve them further. I figure Xenoblade 2 may be getting a bit of a surge in popularity so maybe now is the time to do these! Hope you all enjoy and look forward to the rest!

I would not have considered Crossette good after using her on Rex and I am a fool for thinking that way
Crossette is easily one of my favorite rare blades in the game. Not only is she strong and fun to use, but she has some of the funniest and most enthusiastic quotes.
"Let's see if I can light a FIRE under their BUTTS!!"
"Fire would be SUPER-EFFECTIVE here!!"
"Ohmygosh, I get to fight alongside my hero?!?"
She has one of the best "knocked down" lines as well:
"Oh noooooooo!!! **gasp** I can't believe it!"

You know in a way, I always find it amusing that while Mythra is your favorite character in XBC2, for the speedruns, you have to use the one Blade that will always say Pyra > Mythra

Deadass just realized Blades have a unique "Cooldown" stat after 400 hours of gameplay BRUH

@@tokidoki9001 The higher the cooldown the better I think. If you combine that with art recharge speed you pretty much can swap blades at any time.
You ever notice some blades take longer than others before you can swap (back) to them? That's what it is.
@@ShadowSkyX I was quite ignorant about this particular stat. Blade swap is not something I paid that much attention until I played Bringer of Chaos, where the swap speed is greatly reduced. Slow cooldowns + slow art speed = bad blades unless you use poach items.

Crosette is the reason I was able to kill that bastard Confiscator Jimmy in Daram Isle, Leftheria in my replay from scratch last night. It took a lot of tries, because of his dumb heal seal, and I couldn't just driver combo him to death, but her damage made the fight half or a third as long as it would've been otherwise. Screw Confiscator Jimmy. All my homies hate Confiscator Jimmy.

That Pulverizing Dunk strategy is amazing LOL. I never really played around with the DLC or NG+ Blades since I didn't get it until the Torna expansion, but Crossette seems really dope! I like her design and how it seems her archetype and personality are built around Pyra. Good video, man!

You know, I completely forgot to equip a core chip to Crosette when I first got her in my second playthrough. I failed to notice for like a chapter and a half because spamming fusion combos with her is just so effective that it was doing enough damage anyways.

Oof I'm so happy you're doing this series. I just beat XC2 for the first time almost immediately after I defeated the super bosses in XCDE (albeit barely). I really should read the affinity charts more since I barely did anything with it until I was at Ch 8, so I'm excited to follow your series of explaining how to use your blades haha
Did not expect these Blade Guides to be this in-depth (like 20 minutes), so I'm heavily anticipating this series.
I picked a good time to replay this game. Can't wait to sink another couple hundred hours. I hope you release a new video everyday I can't wait to see all the blades.

I really appreciate these videos. At first I thought Crossette was bad because her auto attack was painfully slow but once I started using her, I realized that's not neccesarily what makes her strong. Truth be told, she was my primary healer for a good chunk of the game. Even when I obtained Nia's blade form. Even so, I always felt that I wasn't getting the most utility out of my blades. It's part of why I kinda just skipped most of the end game stuff and just focused on the story content and the occasional side quest because I just felt like I wasn't ready. Battles always took too long to beat and I always felt I was doing something wrong. Especially since the menus aren't the best in this game and is a slog switching things around at times.
Coming fresh off the heels of XC1 DE to XC2 was a bit jarring but these types of videos are helpful as I know what to specifically go for and build around for when I inevitably play my second playthrough so thank you.

Truth be told, I was expecting story Blades to go first, but I'm not complaining!

The volcano fusion combo with Crosette is precisely how I did my Bringer of Chaos on a fresh save run. It was the only way I could think of to get past the Elder Arachno boss in chapter 3. Got some more powerful blades later and made my AI companions less useless, but the early game, this was the only viable strategy against powerful opponents save for grinding them down.
I'd be interested in seeing the other blades covered in the same level of detail.

This is really informative and it's definitely gonna help spice up my replay of XC2. But do you have some sort of chart or info compilation for the hidden stuff like the effects of Crosette's specials that aren't mentioned in the in-game descriptions? I'd love to see more of that kind of stuff because it's such an interesting look at how this game functions under the hood.
Your speedruns was the reason I Overdrived her onto Nia as opposed to saving her soley for Zeke for my BoC run :) that and I realized I have so much stored exp I should probably stop hoarding Overdrive Protocols .....

If only all the blades were available in base game, I remember watching your video where you explained how dodge mythra was better than crit heal mythra, and all of the equipment you had on Rex was from the challenge battle dlc, so I couldn’t recreate it as powerfully

I really like this video. I never use crossette because she's fire blade and she's bitball which i think Nia is the best user but i never use Nia as a driver so i never use crossette too. It's time to go back and try her!

Could you make a video going over the hidden aspects of this game? Stuff like the effect and strength of level 4 specials, whether specials are ether or physical, and the damage ratios of specials?

This thing hits like a truck. First time I used her I didn't understand what I was doing but I knew she was incredibly strong. By fighting Ken I more or less started to understand how to use her (T-elos is my queen after all) and I don't like the balls at all but I KNOW she's very strong. The fact you can increase your damage up to 500% is just brutal.
Expect to see a lot more views for this series, now that the Master of Bad Puns is doing his Let’s Play of Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
