Easiest way to prevent excessive trial and error on adjusting the window inwards/outwards along with forward/backward tilt on the glass is to mark the glass around the factory regulator clamps with a sharpie and put the glass back where the marks are after installation of new window regulator. Sharpie marks are on the glass which will never be seen.

I have a black 2008 Eos VR6. Bought it from a junkyard for $1200. Probably have over $5k into the car from fixing it up. Loves driving it but it always needed something. I replaced the mechatronic unit (valve body) in the DSG transmission and all was well for 10k miles and then it started to shift hard again. Last year a small coolant hose blew and like an idiot I drove it home dumping water into it but it didnt help because it ran out as quickly as I'd put it in. So the head gasket is blown and it probably needs a new head. The timing chain guides are very worn and all of thst should be replaced too but that requires removal of the transmission on these engines. So I can't see doing all that work and not finding a replacement transmission for it. The car just isnt worth fixing. So I bought a 2010 Eos with the 2.0 TSI engine from a friend of mine. Did the timing chains on that right after my friend bought it. If this girl didn't pay too much for this one she may be able to flip it for a little profit as they only made the VR6 Eos for 2 years. They're a lot of fun to drive but expensive to maintain. Best of luck with it.
