Gas prices are high and I've been using the app Upside to save. You get cashback when refueling at selected gas stations and even some restaurants. Use promo code X9C5H to get an extra 15¢/gal bonus the first time you buy gas and use the app. upside.app.link/X9C5H

You did a better job of selling that car in six minutes then Chevy ever did! I never knew any of those features!! 😃👍

FYI when you get down to about 2 miles of battery range you can switch to Mountain mode and it'll charge the battery up to about 40%. Then you can switch back to normal mode and use the battery. This can be the difference between using more gas on a long trip or using the on board generator to extend your battery range. I get much better overall efficiency when I do this. Just a little tip!

That is my favorite Volt color. It is kind of rare, at least in the Pacific Northwest.
Very good video that covered all the basics.
GM's best-kept secret. The Gen 1 Volt is a brilliant car, and my favorite of all the vehicles I have ever owned.

If you love the Gen1 you'll like the Gen2 even better. I've found the extra range and better gas mileage and other improvements just make it that much better. They really did listen to their Gen1 customers when the built the Gen2... A rarity to be sure and such a shame they are discontinuing the car.

Good video 👍. No annoying music, concise, clear and focusing on important topics.
I bought a 2012 Volt a little over a year ago and I can’t stop smiling 😊. Especially driving by gas stations. I use the Volta, ChargePoint, Blink, PlugShare & ChargeHub EV apps. The infrastructure is getting built out slowly.
I hope all the other Volt owners enjoy their ⚡️cars

Have owned loaded, premium model used for 4 yrs, 19500 mi. No issues. Quiet on the highway as it is in your driveway, gets out of its own way and gets 35-38 mpg on gas in town with air on ( in Phoenix). A car to swear by and not at. Lower drag coefficient than a '14 Vette. Town car for civilized folk, not for trailer pulling or drag racing Lamborghinis. Future Classic now. Enjoy!

My only comment is about the "power control module" under the hood. That's actually the Inverter. That changes the power between AC and DC from the battery to the motor and vice versa. Great video though!

Hello i do like your videos . I'am adding a rumor , i have heard that Harbor Freight started as unclaimed freight or missing freight around shipping yards . It started piling up in warehouse ,and eventually being put up for sale.?

"Charging stations located around your city".........Say What?? Nothing like that out here in the sticks. And we're still using Kerosene powered computers.

On a good day (outside temperature about 70F) it will charge to over 40 miles electric range ... on a really cold Colorado winter day, it may only reach a range of 28 miles (and THAT's if you limit your heater use and use only the heated seats). With 85K miles on the clock, I've seen some degradation in the battery - I can only get 9.8 kWh vs the 10.6 it had when new. The battery pack is actually 16 kWh, but Chevy only let you use a 10.6 when new. Running down the pack during hybrid operation to the point where it says Propulsion Power Reduced may "balance" the cells and give you a few extra tenths of a kWh in range on you subsequent charge. The car will achieve 100mph in EV mode (as European Ampera owners in Europe test on occasion) and I've estimated you could drive it at 100mph in EV mode for approximately 15 minutes on flat ground.

Looking at the 2015 vs 2013 there is no more two tone, no fancy gas cap, and no front bumper sensors... 2016 and up just got cheap, interiors are inferior

2015 was my favorite year. When I bought this car, I purposely looked for a low mile 2015. :D

The good part is that it's a Daewoo!

    • @1D10CRACY

LOL That may explain all the issues they have! Kind of reminds of a cheap Spark but I think Daewoo also had it's hands in it's design.

It was more of an Opel built on GMs Delta 2 Cruz platform that originally came from the Daewoo Cruz ... some of the features are very European - like the pedestrian horn and umbrella pocket. The first generation of the Chevy Volt was not officially available for sale in South Korea but the second one was.

Totally not a Daewoo or even share the 1.4L Turbo or 1.8L Daewoo engine. Opel built, Iron Block 1.4L engine. The OEM oil filter is even made in Austria.
