Extremely helpful regarding tools needed before starting. Regarding removing the electrical connection, I'd say that gave me the biggest problem, because first, getting the protective cover off of that side of the pump was a b****. That back plastic holder was not interested in coming out. Then after that, even after pulling back the white socket lock piece, it did not want to come off. Almost broke it trying. Other than that, everything went well. Thank you.

So you just replaced the pump and topped off the coolant? Did you do any bleeding procedure using GDS or SPS? Just curious as my 2011 is still blowing cold air and this year doesn't have KW meter on the dash to monitor load.

I didn't bleed it, just topped it off, it didn't lose much. Heat started working after the pump was replaced and is still working.

Hi there, Could the faulty pump result no heat on gas as well? My 2016 volt blows cold air no matter on gas or battery. Thanks

Yep, we had no heat gas or electric. To tell if the pump is bad you can listen for an electric pump noise coming from the RF wheel well, or better yet remove the inner fender and feel the pump for vibration/noise/heat when it should be running. If the pump is running properly and still no heat, the 3 way valve assembly needs replaced, there should be another video on TH-cam covering that R&R.
