@@CraftyCottageStitches I have so many questions about a green house, I have space on the roof to built one but I will start with some boxes so my husband agrees, if I can harvest something 🤣🤣🤣
@@blendaorga1 this is going to be a brand new adventure for me. I started tons of seeds the same year that I had Evie and had so much fun with it and did very well. I just don’t have space in my home (or the best lighting) to have a huge setup every year and my cat loves eating plants 🤦🏻♀️. I’m looking forward to having the space to start tons of seeds and also to propagate some of my own plants.
Love watching your flaws too. Make me smile love seeing all the fun things. You guys are working on it via such a little sweetie. Hope you guys are all feeling better.
Thank you for sharing all your beautiful creations....I love Lori Holt yarn too. I’m making a granny square afghan from Lori Holt’s chunky thread, love crocheting with it. I love that you add other crafts to your FlossTube. Thank you!
Sardines? 😀Oh Evie. Actually, sardines are very healthy for you. Maybe she would like them. Thanks for bringing a blast from the past--the Gooseberry books. I have many of those. I'm going to pull them out and take a look. Oh and yes, Holly Holderman's Lakehouse fabrics are the best. I still have a bunch, including Pam Kitty, to quilt with. I need to be retired!! Thanks so much for the great Flosstube.
Good Saturday Morning Girls!! So good to see you back, in spite of the punies! Love ThriftBooks, Janette!! You do so inspire us with your various craft projects. Oh the hutch is pretty!! Can't wait to see the finish and how it gets all dressed up for the holidays!!
Love all your cute crochet! The little bunnies are adorable. Little Evelyn is so cute and I love the cute little things she says! Your hutch and new paint on your cabinet is so nice. I can’t wait to see how you transform that darling hutch. So perfect for a quilter & stitcher!
Love Gooseberry patch they had so cute stuff in every issue. And their cookbooks were awesome. Glad you are feeling better. Heather those fabrics for that quilt are so so cute. Hugs
Hi crafty friends - so good to see you and catch up on all the fun stuff. So glad you don't just show one cross stitch after another but are truly creative and lots more ideas. Chicklet is getting so big and won't she love school. Hugs
I’ve added the French Country Chic to my wishlist - looks like it has some sweet little projects. Marmalade sounds fiddly but will be adorable - can’t wait to see how she turns out. See you again next time ☺
Happy to see you guys. I do not like to be sick. I hope you feel better soon. Evie is such a hoot. All those faces she makes is just adorable. They grow up fast enjoy her while you can. Have a great week ladies.
I started laughing when Evie said sardines for lunch😛 You never know she might actually like them...although I doubt it. Love seeing all of your projects, your old WIP is very pretty. The red fabric kitted up will be gorgeous! Yes to the greenhouse tour!
Your daughter and grand makes me laugh! She is such a doll and I wish I could hug her. Now I’m not a weirdo or anything - just a grandma whose little girls are all older now, going to college and such, and they have very little time for their old grandma. Besides Evie (is that right?) is so cute! Did she get her sardines for lunch? Thanks for sharing her.😂
Love all the stuff but never clear on where you get your patterns... Please share the patterns for the carrots,🥕strawberries,🍓and the little bunnies 🐇... Thank you so much for sharing all your beautiful work...😊
Sorry about that! I have linked the crochet patterns in the description above. Usually if it isn’t linked, it’s because we have linked it in previous videos. I occasionally will miss a link because sometimes I forget what all we have covered lol. Enjoy!
I love that Evie talked about sardines. My husband is a picky eater but he likes sardines! Once in awhile I’ve bought a tin for him as a gift! She is cute and charming! You both showed some great things. I have some Gooseberry books. Nor sure if any I have are just quilts. Might look some up. Where do you get pickled beans? They sound kind of good. Is it a brand you buy, in jar or a can? Happy Spring! 🌸🌸🌸
They are canned in a jar like pickles. We buy these ones at our local produce store that we have in town. I bet you could check at farmers markets or maybe somewhere like Whole Foods. I’m actually growing green beans this year so we can can (tehehehe) our own. We get Fosters brand which is a local brand. World Market Carrie’s different sardines at least around the holidays. That would be a fun stocking stuffer for your husband!
Hi ladies! Great to see you with all your stitching, quilting, crocheting etc pieces!! I wish I could crochet, but I tried knitting and just couldn't pick it up. Your things are always right up my alley. Question?? Is it ever appropriate to stitch 1strand of DMC on 14-ct aida fabric?? Asking cause I can't see the holes, but I did order some nice magnifying glasses with led light off of Amazon and should get them tomorrow. Thanks for the video!!😻🐈👍
Hi Michelle! Typically with a 14 count aida (or 28 count even weave), you would use two strands of DMC floss. Same goes for 16 count. 18 count plus would be where you would start only using one strand of dmc. Btw, if you have only tried knitting and never crochet, please know that we find those two very different. You should definitely give crochet a shot even if knitting wasn’t for you. I found that once I searched around on TH-cam and found the style of crochet tutorials that worked for me, then I fell in love with it. There are definitely different styles of teachers so it’s great to find one that just makes sense to you!
You might have told us already?? But, I love to know what pattern you used to make the strawberries - I’m a newbie crocheter so I’d need some kind of pattern/tutorial. I’m making the granny squares for my blanket with the chunky thread (Lori Holt) - love all your crochet, cross stitch, quilting - I like that you show us a lot of different crafts- thank you!
Thank you, Gwen! Here is the strawberry pattern we use: garnknuten.com/en-us/blogs/free-patterns/strawberry-free-crochet-pattern Have you done amigurumi before? The patterns can read slightly different than standard crochet but it’s definitely easy once you learn that. I looked up a TH-cam video that walked beginners through amigurumi by making an amigurumi ball and then I had the hang of it!
Everything you both do is great. I love that you do multiple kinds of projects. Can you please share where you found the patterns for your strawberries and carrots? It would be greatly appreciated.
You’ve increased my book collection by three! Several ladies in my quilting group also made Marmalade and said it was challenging. Great find on the hutch! Do you have links to the strawberry and carrot crochet patterns? They are so cute. See you next time!
They are linked in the video description. We have a real book problem. I need builtins on all my walls with my books, Evie’s books and my husband’s books. Lol
Yay to knocking out that oldest WIP Heather!! And I’ve got Isabella Johnstone all kitted up and ready to go for April 1st! 👍🏻. I’m going to stitch it over 1 😳😳😳. It’ll be on a brownish mystery linen from Kitten Stitcher and threads from my fancy floss stash. I’m going to start with the cow. The red will be Weeks Red Rocks and the white will be Weeks Parchment. Looking forward to joining you!
Ooh! Can’t wait to see yours! Now I want to start with the cow😁 I have to decide if I want a brown cow or black cow. Over one is going to be gorgeous. I really need to do a project over one to get more comfortable with it. I just love the look of it. I am so excited!
