My mom has those “bread baskets.” She always lines them with “fancy” paper napkins. 🥰 What a great idea to use them for smalls! You could practice free-motion on project bags!
Maybe Mom will let you use one of her baskets! They are the perfect size😁 Projects bags would be a great way to practice free motion! Have a great week
Thanks so much for the crochet tutorial - I’m visual and you’ve made it clear through your video. Can’t wait to give this a try on my granny square afghan - love how it looks! Best wishes for w=everyone to be better. See you again soon! 🥰
It was so nice to stitch along to y’all today. I’m so into granny squares at the moment, and your little pillows are so cute. I love the color choices with your stitching. My girls always say my favorite colors are white and off white haha. We have been stationed in Washington twice (Everett, my husband is career Navy) and it holds such a special place in our hearts. What a small world ❤ Happy Stitching!
My husband is retired Air Force. He did his last 7 years here. This area is home for us. I am already wanting to start a new granny square! I think fun vintagey colors this time. Probably because I am ready for spring😁 I look forward to seeing yours! Have a great week
I hope you both feel better in the coming weeks along with your family members! Your ongoing projects for February are so cute. I love the quilt projects. Sorry about the Lions. It was a great game for both teams.
Love all of your show and tell! Your croqueted tomatoes and heart pom poms are so cute. The granny squares look so nice too. I love how you connect them. They look beautiful! Great tutorial!
Love your fun video. Love all the fun crocheted things and Heather your quilt is beautiful. I love the fabrics. You guys are so crafty! And Jeanette love all your fun antique finds. The cups are beautiful with the daisies and I always love to look for fun, crocheted doilies too. Hope everybody is feeling better soon.
Thank you! We seem to have that lingering never ending cough and stuffiness but it could be far worse. That’s life with a preschooler lol. Happy crafting! ❤️
I enjoyed your projects! Heather the granny square throw is going to be very pretty & I love Janette's CtoC. Thank you for the tutorial, I'm definitely a visual person. Hopefully everyone will feel better soon, school & shared germs are really hard.
You’re welcome for the tutorial! I’m still really loving my granny square project and can’t wait to have it finished to snuggle under ❤️. Definitely dealing with the shared germs but it’s kind of nice to know all of the families in the preschool are in the same boat. We all share tips and tricks when we each go down one by one 😂
Lovely projects! Always enabling😂. I am putting together the Windmill quilt as well. It did feel like a lot of prep! Thankfully the blocks are quick to sew. Can't wait to see your finished quilt Heather!
Hi 👋 ladies it was nice catching up with the both of you. I love seeing all your beautiful stitching. I love to do embroidery but cross stitch is my happy place right now! Love your quilt tops and small pillows so adorable! Hope y’all feel better soon. Have a wonderful week and happy crafting 😊🧵🪡🤗🤩
I used to write my rows on paper , l now use my grand daughters fidget pop pit ( that were all the rage recently) every time l finish a row l just pop a poppit, l see them all the time in op shops / thrift stores, hope this helps, makes counting a lot easier and quicker🧶
I've embroidered crabapple hill grandma's Christmas kitchen and put all red, white, and green crocheted pot holders on it. And 2 years ago at our church garage sale i found a bag of crocheted little dresses like you have. I want to hang a laundry line up in my laundry room and hang them. They are all different colors for different holidays during the year.
You both are so creative in so many crafts. I love seeing everything you are working on. Thank you for all the beautiful ideas. Heather I am sorry your Lions lost I routing them on, it would of been so cool for them to be in the Super Bowl with their long history of not getting to the play offs. Until your next visit, happy creating.
Heather i have seen those miter cutters that you described. They looked like a great option for me who doesn't use piwer tools. Let me know if you order it and how you like them. Jeanette, your christmas stitches are lovely. You both inspure me to try new crafts. I would love to crochet. Those granny squares turned into a blanket would be an awesome project. I will need to find a tutorial for crochet for beginners.
Check out Elise Rose on TH-cam for her tutorials. She is an incredible teacher and she teaches from beginner up to complicated amigurumi projects. She makes adorable stuff!
I’m so happy to see you back today❤❤ love the goodies you both are working on and Pom Pom’s are so fun and sweet, I still love to make them , just so fun! You have some fantastic goodwill finds to keep and treasure, I don’t go there much but I have never really found anything special? Maybe I’ll start going a little more and find some small goodies too! Blessings ladies😊
It’s definitely a must to go more frequently to find some good stuff. We have had a lot of times where it’s a total flop for a few weeks. Or you just walk in and turn right around and leave because we just aren’t feeling it lol. We would prefer to shop at other thrift stores but it’s mostly what we have in the town and direct towns around us. Have a great week ❤️🥰
Thank you so much for showing us the crotchet segment. That made it makes sense to me. I guess I’m visual as well. Love all the pretty projects. Also hope everyone gets feeling better.
I too bought the pompom maker for the Valentine toques I am making. Love your embroidery project. Thanks for the tutorial. I can now finish my granny square pillow. Happy stitching.
Where do you live to be blessed with frogs croaking in January? That’s my favorite sound in my area. I know Spring will be here soon! You said Emmy was very talented and artistic, well the apple doesn’t fall far off the tree! You both are amazing with all you do! Where did you find the Merry Christmas pattern? I’ve seen it done and don’t remember where!
Hello! We live in Washington on the western side of the state. We have pacific tree frogs and that’s what we can hear right now. The pond near her house turns into a crazy loud frog fest come spring with the bill frogs! Typically overnight and it’s almost deafening. We call her house the frog house because every time we visited before she moved in we either saw or heard tree frogs. The Merry Christmas pattern she ordered directly from Abbey Rose Designs but I think it’s hard to find right now. Have a great week!
The pattern she used for this one is at this link nanascraftyhome.com/basic-corner-to-corner-c2c-stitch-photo-video-tutorial/ There is a HUGE variety of corner to corner afghans on Pinterest for all styles too. She used the lion brand pound of love yarn and used the called for hook for that yarn (whichever was listed on the skein).

A little red bow on the candy cane in the stocking would be cute. Some christmas color ribbon tied in a bow shape.
Great idea!

We got some of those miter cutters. They work great! You can take quarter round( shoe molding) and just snip thru it.

You ladies are very creative. Janet have you tried the Lori Holt chunky thread for the crocheted tomatoes?
Yep! That’s what she used to make them. And she used that to make her granny square Valentine pillows too. It is a really nice yarn to work with!
@@CraftyCottageStitches awesome! I just bought a bunch of it😂
Heather and Jeanette, the crocheting looks more doable than knitting! Go DAY-TROI Lions as they say in Canada!!
I sure have an easier time with crochet lol. Have a great week Michelle!

We are! Trying to keep to our old schedule😁
What are you going to make with the prairie fabric when it comes out?
I’m think I am going to make a large square patchwork to go on the end of my bed. And use one of the plaids for pillow shams.
The white crocheted blanket, what yarn did you use and what hook size and what pattern? Thanks
