I can’t begin to tell you how much I enjoyed this, so many favorite children’s books, childhood treasures and I swear that we are soul sisters🤎. I know times were hard then but there’s something about that time that I’ve always felt like I was meant to be. "Little Women" was published in 1868 and 1869, not 1860, which makes sense because "Marme's" husband, the Civil War soldier, comes home during the war due to injuries. Part of the desperation the family feels is due to deprivation from the war.
