Yay, you’re back! That crochet Santa is adorable! So is the Charm Pack Challenge Christmas quilt! Happy stitching til next time!! 🪡🧵🪡✂️✂️✂️🥳🥳🎊🎉☃️☃️☃️💕💕💕
I was thrilled to see you guys had a new video. I’m a quilter and love seeing what you ladies are making and I’m so in love with your swoon quilt, it’s gorgeous. I dabble in cross stitch but quilting is my all time favorite. Evie is absolutely adorable and getting so big Always follow your heart and do what you love. ❤❤
Thank you, Cathy! We definitely tend to stick with quilting as our passion and then go through phases with other hobbies. It’s definitely seasonal for me! I just started sewing my Tottenham swoon last night and it’s going to be so cool!
It's great to see you back! It is always fun to see what you've been doing, stitching, crocheting, quilting & life updates. You do whatever works for you, this is suppose to be a hobby & you should stitch or make something for your home that brings you joy! Hi Evie! What a cutie, she's growing up so fast!
I've missed you! I'm glad you're back. I missed seeing Evie too. I love all her appearances. I'm with you...stitch what you want/when you want. Your "Merry Christmas" stitch is beautiful. So it your Brenda Gervais stitch. I like it on the blue fabric. I'm also a Beatrix Potter fan. Thank you for all the inspiration. See you in 3 weeks or whenever you're back! ❤
Glad to see you back! I hope you had a relaxing break and are raring to go on Stitchtube again. Don't listen to the few negative comments someone makes, the good far exceeds those! You do you and how you want to do it. Love seeing Evie again. She is adorable, fruit snack and all. :)
So glad you are back. I missed you! I’m glad to hear you will be back in 3 weeks. Love to see what you are working on, stitching or quilting. You both have so many fun things and your quilts were beautiful.
So glad you’re back. I love to see you and Evelyn too! The quilting looks great. Try the pouch again, I make them in about 10 minutes after a few trials. My granddaughters have them for all of their specialty pens and “stuff”. I love my Swoon 16 too.
Janet thank you for sharing the Crossed Wing pattern. I also am a bird and flower lover. Crossed Wing has a beautiful heron that will be my next stitch. Thank you both for taking the time to share all your wonderful projects.
It is great to see you back. My older daughter got me that sewing room kit at the start of covid. I also changed up the colors of the walls and I changed the crown molding to be more of chair rail. I added flower boxes outside of the windows. I changed a few other things. It didn’t take 80 hours to do. It was so fun!!!
What a great project to have on hand during covid! I think we are going to wait until Christmas time to get this out to work on. Great way to just slow down and spend time together : )
I am so proud of you - just love you and your style and am behind you all the way!!!! I agree on the cross stitch and want to change my choices as well. So very happy to see you and Little Miss Pickle. Hugs and love.
Thank you Kathie! I am actually wanting to stitch again because I am only doing what I truly love. Its been so good for me. Have a very Happy New Year🥰🥰🥰
I was so happy to see you back on flosstube again! No judgements here. Please do what you love! I'm fine with every 3 weeks. Sometimes I can be overwhelmed with all the videos to watch and while I enjoy them. Some don't have very much content. I think they could have waited another week to film. I know some people get really upset if they don't see a video on a certain time schedule but I enjoy a more laid-back attitude. Love all your different crafts. I might even try making those ornaments. Something on my skill level!
I am so glad to see you back on but understand why you just needed to take a break. I am excited for you that you are really trying to pay attention to what you really love and focus on that kind of stitching. It is OK if it takes you a long time to finish because you will enjoy the journey. I like your show because you like to do the variety of things that I like - cross stitching, quilting, crochet, etc. Look forward to your return in three weeks.
So glad to see you back again, I love your flosstubes they are always so interesting. Your projects are so beautiful and your workmanship is fantastic. Would love to see a home tour of you remodeled kitchen. Looking forward to your next flosstube. Happy holidays!
So nice to see you both and sharing your craftiness! I like your thinking on stitching what makes you happy and compliments your deco style. I save the cutie ones for holiday decorating because they feel more appropriate for our home at that time and go away shortly after the holiday.
Exactly. I can do cute holiday stitches because I have a little kid and it’s fun for that. I can also put cutsie little thing for her room too. Thank you for watching! I hope you are having a great week!
New follower here ..... Keep doing what you're doing!! I love seeing the variety of things you make and LOVE seeing the changes you make to match things to your home and decor. It took me years to have the confidence to change a chart or pattern to my liking and I'm a much happier crafter for it 💜
Happy New Year 🎊 it was so nice to see the both of y’all and love seeing all your projects and love the quilt block beautiful 🤩 have a wonderful week and happy stitching 😊🧵🪡🤗🤩🎆🎊
I made my own hexagon shape cut file on my circuit for my mother for her to use for EPP. You can use the shape feature in Design Space. Or you can upload an image of the shape you want and cut it. It works like a charm. I cut the file on 100 lb paper. My mother also makes them using a hexagon shaped paper punch. EPP is on my list of things to try in 2023. So nice to see you both again, welcome back!
Welcome back! I missed y'all so much! You deserve to do things on your terms it's your channel! I'm starting to get back into quilting by making some pot holders.
I’ve miss you so much, I used to wait for your Flosstube every month and when you were gone I noticed you were one of my favorites to stitch with. I love your style!
Happy to see you both! So appreciate that you share your time and talent- so inspiring and missed stitching while you chatted. Happy New Year to you and your family. Peggy
It’s great to see you back. Looking forward to future videos. You don’t have to worry about frequent or long videos, just let us hear from you. Happy New Year!
Yay!! So glad you are back. And Heather, I also threw my hip out. It happened on Christmas Eve just before we were getting reading to leave for church. I had been sewing for 4 days straight because I was having a blast and didn’t want to stop. 😆 I too was cutting fabric on the floor 🫣 Luckily my husband is a chiropractor so that is a blessing, but it still took a few days to feel back to normal. It just meant I was absolutely no help on Christmas Day. I enjoyed seeing all the quilting you are doing. So fun. And now I’m searching for Little Women Fabric. 😆
OMG! So you get it! Hahahaha it took about 4 chiropractor appointments to get back to moving very much. He was definitely a life saver. Did you find the little women fabric?
So great to have you back!!! Thanks for sharing your quilt projects along with cross stitch, I love seeing your progress. And little Miss Evie is just as precious as can be. My fav part of the whole video is when we got to see her gummy bear snack 🤣she cracks me up ❤
Yeah, I'm so glad your back. But don't put a time limit on it. Feel like making a video make one. If you don't don't make it. I love all of the projects you both have done. Have a great weekend. Vanessa White
So glad to see you back!! I love seeing all your projects…. Thanks for the “double slice” quilt idea. I received a layer cake for Christmas…and I’ll be starting it today! Happy New Year to you both🎉
Welcome Back. I’m happy dancing 💃. I can’t believe you are giving up on your Brenda Gervais. I just love it. I am so excited to hopefully be retiring this year. Only bad thing is my stitching, quilting and knitting budget will take a huge hit. But less stress and more stitching time will be worth it. Most designers encourage you to stitch their designs your way. Make your stitching your own. I think COVID did help with people doing their own thing by using what you have because it was so hard to find what was called for. I know when I do retire I will be doing just that. I was gifted a Featherweight and featherweight table by our family Grandma by love not blood when she had to move to an assisted living a few years ago. And then in November by step daughter (technically) called they were cleaning out her Grandma’s home she had to go to the nursing home ( this is my husband’s EX Mother in Law) and told her family that her sewing machine was to come to me (even though some family members wanted it). I was expecting a Singer Touch and Sew in a cabinet. I was so honored she thought of me. When they came Thanksgiving the brought me in her featherweight. I am so blesssed. Word of warning on water soluble anything soak and rinse in tubs and pour outside. If it goes down the drain and you do much with it eventually builds up and clogs your drain
Wow! What special treasures passed to you! I have been looking around a lot and there are so many beautiful free patterns or techniques that people can use to keep down the price of sewing which is wonderful! We have enough supplies to last us for quite awhile even if we don’t buy anything for a few years 😂
Great to have you back, happy new year. Love all you project’s, excited to see your future projects. Really love your sewing box absolutely gorgeous xx
@@CraftyCottageStitches thank you, my year has started badly with the death of my husband, but I’m sure things will get easier. Stay safe love and hugs xx
Happy New Year! I had to go buy that sewing box can't wait to get it. Your daughter is so cute...she is so excited. I think you should do what you enjoy and makes you happy. Enjoy your time with your family. Bye...lol.
It was great to see you. I will look forward to seeing you in three week. I need more information on how you did the crochet Christmas ornament. Love them.
Nice to see you back! I’m glad you enjoyed your time off and got to refocus. You are 100% correct, IMHO, do what you love, when you want to do it. There are more than enough ‘have tos’ in life, and our crafty projects shouldn’t feel like a ‘have to’. Evie is getting so big and even more precious 💕. Happy New Year to you and your families 🎉🎉
What a treat to have you back! You've been missed! 💖 You continue to inspire me with your beautiful quilts. Glad you've been able to step back for a bit and get some creative breathing room. All the best to you both - and sweet little Evie - for the coming year!
Jeanette the snowman is adorable put some snowflakes on it and put it in a small frame for the grand daughter. I love it on that fabric. Heather you have a mistake on Jen Daly "Noel" the N is shorter on the right side.
You be you! Evie is so cute, cute little nose. I would not use the EPP papers you have purchased. I would not want something in my finished product that might break down the fibers. I think you should try the Lazy Girl designs Becca Bag pattern. Wonderful instructions, wide opening, easy to do patchwork. Happy New Year!
And what to my weary eyes should appear but Janet and Heather and Evelyn dear!!! So glad your back. Don't apologize it's your channel and we watch you bc we want to see you. What your working on. Don't repeat others, your both creative people and we want to know what your up to and see and hear your ideas! Fun!!
I'm glad to see you girls again. You made my day. Evelyn is growing so fast. I make my own paper piecing papers, and I just draw some on paper and then make more copies. I get just a little heavier paper to print them on so they stay stiff. Take care 🙂
I was glad to see that you girls were back! I totally understand what you were saying about why you were changing your stitching plans. I have totally fell off the cross stitch wagon and actually deleted my Instagram account because I guess I was just overwhelmed and burned out. I have started crocheting again more and started another Instagram so I could keep up with a few of my favorites there. I am starting to feel the stitching bug again and I want to do like you and do what suits me and not the trendy things. Some of them are beautiful but just won’t work in my house. I have spent so much time stitching just to trash what I made because I wasn’t happy with it. Thank you girls for your inspiration! I look forward to seeing you again before too long. Happy stitching from West Virginia! 🪡🧵
We are so happy to hear that others have the same creative struggles too! I’m hoping doing a few patterns that have some specialty stitches will motivate me. If not, then quilting it is for awhile 🥰
Welcome back, you were truly missed. I am a big quilter as well as a cross stitcher, so it is so fun seeing all your beautiful quilts and quilt projects. And remember it is great to make all things your own. I make changes to charts and patterns a lot of times to make it fit my home and personality. “ You do You” See you soon
Welcome back!! So glad to see you both again and Evie! Lots of inspiration on your video that's for sure!! It makes me want to start cutting and sewing fabric, which I really need to do. Janet, we need a home tour ! The pieces you have planned are all so pretty.
Thank you Brenda! Actually you have totally been my inspiration. Everything you show is so beautiful and I always think thats what I should be stitching! Its the reason I came back to cross stitch. As much as I love all the different things. They just aren’t me. I do plan on doing a tour when we get these half done projects finished up. Ugh we are the slowest. But am feeling it now that the holidays are over. Happy New Year!
So glad to see you back. You two are so inspirational on your cross stitch and quilting projects. Will be glad to see your videos every 3 weeks, I hope that works for you.Happy New Year. Please keep up good work. Thank You.
So happy to see you both. Love that you are doing what you want when you want. Always do what makes you happy not everyone else. Evie is getting so big and the conversations she can hold are impressive. Happy New Year to all of you!
It was wonderful seeing you both back! I hav3 really missed you! I love all the projects and Evie still brings a big smile to my face and heart! She is so cute and growing so much! I also love your thought process of only doing what I really want in my house! Like you were, I’m drawn to the cute things others do, but once I start I loose the enthusiasm as I have no where to put it or it doesn’t fit my decor. Look forward to seeing you back in 3 weeks! Happy New Year to you all!🎉
I have the cutie quilting frame. Just haven’t gotten to really use it yet and it sits on a 4 1/2 foot table. Great concept. So good to have y’all back. I have missed seeing you and seeing all the goodies you have been doing. All are beautiful!
It was so nice to see your video! Love the cute croquet pig Heather made Evie, so cute! And I love your new Featherweight, Daisy! Have fun making little daisy things to set beside her. It is also so nice to see what you both are working on. Happy New Year to you both!
Hi Suzan! Isn’t the little piggy the cutest?! Evie loves it so much. I love Daisy too😁 Have to get making cute things to decorate her with like you do! Happy New Year
Thanks for coming back. Really love both of your quilts. Enjoyed your video very much. Excited for your next video to see what you are working on next. Happy New Year!
Happy New Year! So glad to see you both again! Love your quilt finishes and all of your quilting and stitching plans. It will be great to see you both again whenever it works for you.
When you were showing the sampler with DMC 926, I was stitching using 926. It's a great color. The green also looked very pretty. I use lots of blue & green in my house.
It is good to see you all back! Heather, I started the Prairie Schooler January stitch today using the Lori Holt conversion. I am doing the Snow Day portion and loving how pretty the colors are. It seems to be working up pretty quickly too!
What a nice surprise it was to open up YT and see that you had made a new flosstube! Welcome back, you have been missed! Looking forward to seeing more videos and being inspired- whether it is every 3 weeks, every 3 months, or 3 years. Happy New Year!

Yay! I'm not a cross-stitcher or quilter, but my mother is and I love watching your flosstube!
Thank you Claudia! Happy New Year 🥰
Glad you are back. I’m with you, Janette, I finish things and
look at them and say “why”, then they go in a box never to be completely finished.
Right?!! Lol. I don’t want to do that anymore. We will stitch what we truly love and want in our houses this year😁

Anything lazy is my cup of tea 😂😂😂😂

And what to my weary eyes should appear but Janet and Heather and Evelyn dear!!!
So glad your back. Don't apologize it's your channel and we watch you bc we want to see you. What your working on. Don't repeat others, your both creative people and we want to know what your up to and see and hear your ideas! Fun!!
Thank you Pamela! Happy New Year🥰
I'm glad to see you girls again. You made my day. Evelyn is growing so fast.
I make my own paper piecing papers, and I just draw some on paper and then make more copies. I get just a little heavier paper to print them on so they stay stiff.
Take care 🙂
Thank you Diane! I am going to do that. I think I will just trace the ones we got. I am not thinking the iron on ones are for me. Lol
Happy New Year🥰
I was glad to see that you girls were back!
Thank you so much! 🥰🥰🥰

So happy to see you both. Love that you are doing what you want when you want. Always do what makes you happy not everyone else. Evie is getting so big and the conversations she can hold are impressive. Happy New Year to all of you!
Evie keeps us on our toes. She’s an old soul 🥰
Happy New Year to you all!🎉
It’s so nice to hear that others have the same creative dilemmas lol. Happy New Year!
I have the cutie quilting frame. Just haven’t gotten to really use it yet and it sits on a 4 1/2 foot table. Great concept. So good to have y’all back. I have missed seeing you and seeing all the goodies you have been doing. All are beautiful!
I have to check out that frame. Sounds intriguing and very helpful. Thank you for watching. Happy New Year!

When you were showing the sampler with DMC 926, I was stitching using 926. It's a great color. The green also looked very pretty. I use lots of blue & green in my house.
Great minds!🥰 It is such a pretty color. It makes me happy now to stitch on it lol. Happy New Year!!
So happy you’re back! Always stitch what you want, how you want it to be! Life’s too short to follow someone else’s script 😉
Thanks! And thats how we feel😁
It is good to see you all back! Heather, I started the Prairie Schooler January stitch today using the Lori Holt conversion. I am doing the Snow Day portion and loving how pretty the colors are. It seems to be working up pretty quickly too!
