    I personally don't think the show should've gone on. I was actually watching the ppv at the age of 12 and after Jim Ross announced he'd passed away I couldn't watch it anymore and turned it off.

      Many people will give reasons has for why for the show should have gone on or should not have continued but in my opinion that decision should have been taken out of the WWF hands when a car crashes on the roads when accidents happen the roads get closed or vehicles are held from driving on the road - the ring should have been shut of to collect evidence regarding the incident

      @@paulhynes170 I agree. Something else I think about is it becomes a hazard for the rest of the wrestlers because the integrity of the ring had been compromised, too. You see them avoiding that corner...

      I think the real question here is why was the show allowed to go on. Once it became clear Owen had passed, the police should have shut it down and started investigating. The option never should have been in Vince's hands.

    I had the Honor of seeing Owen wrestle live as the blue blazer and as himself. He was amazing. Even as heel he loved his fans. RIP Owen ❤️🇨🇦

    I find it very ignorant to see people saying "here's what i would have done." Such an indulgent mind set. You weren't put in that position and you don't know what you're talking about. I agree the show should have been stopped after JR announced Owens death because from then on it was a police investigation. However i cant even imagine the shock and horror that everyone working that night must have gone through. I can only assume they went on out of panic, probably in denial about what had just happened. Rationality would have surely gone out the window. Most interviews about this subject have wrestlers saying 'let's just get through this'. The company had a duty of care to that audience which was to look after then, entertain them and send them home and i find it so ignorant to see people who weren't there, who don’t work in that business and are competely unaware of the pressure of that night, type out the words 'i would have done this'.
    R.I.P Owen

    Road Dogg in this one feels so honest. Man's had such a long career.
    I don't think they should've gone on, but I do understand the idea that the show must go on. It's still one of those things you can go one way or the other and can't lay lot of blame on it.

    Road Dogg knew what was going on, everyone knew what happened when Owen was loaded up in the gurney, even Val Venis, he knew, right before the fourth match. Val Venis saw Owen's eyes open wide but there was nobody home.

    In a documentary it was said the boards where his body impacted the ring collapsed and his blood stained the canvas. So all the other wrestlers who wrestled that night, not only saw what happened, they had a tangible reality of it. The show should have stopped.

    It really does amaze me how they were continue on with the show, especially anybody competing in the ring after Owen fell. I wouldn’t be able concentrate if I was in that situation. In hindsight, maybe they should’ve stopped the show.

      His fucking blood was visibly on the mat from the spot where he literally died. And they let other people compete in that ring. Awful

      @DJDoubleCee 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sheepdavis The Brood gave The Hardy Boyz a blood bath earlier in the show so most of the blood was from that segment but nonetheless, I agree, it is pretty horrifying seeing Owen’s blood in the ring.

    If Vince cared. He should have stopped the PPV of Over The Edge. To this day. Still pissed off after 1999 at Vince McMahon. WWE acknowledged the lastest Wrestler passed away was Road Warrior Animal. But never did any video about his achievements like Owen Hart.

    I know I said this a million times but I'm gonna keep on saying it. If I was Vince McMahon, I would've stopped the PPV immediately & saved the World Championship Match with Steve Austin & The Undertaker for another time. One of the greatest wrestlers that ever lived died that night & Vince decides to still continue the show. Like for real. If it was me, I would've went to the ring & said "Unfortunately, due to the tragic passing of one of our fellow superstars, I am going to end tonight's PPV & postpone our main event title match for another night." This way, maybe Bret Hart would be a little more willing to kinda put the differences with Vince aside & Martha would be more willing to let Vince put Owen Hart in the WWE Hall of Fame.

    I don’t see why it’s a question. Common sense stopped because it’s a potential crime scene. He is Stephanie or Shane would have fell Vince would have stop it.
