    Would you ever consider buying from a lesser known brand for your first bike?

  • @SummitCoyote
    @SummitCoyote ปีที่แล้ว +6

    not only would i consider it... i did. i own a 300nk. and im hoping they bring the adventure version of the 700 to the states in 2024 for us shorter riders who still want a decent off-road option that can handle itself on the highway. they pretty much doubled their model options in the US in 2023 vs 2022 so they must have done well enough their first year.

      I can't say with any confidence- but I did hear rumblings it is coming. I didn't get to ride the 300 but wish I had, looks like a fun little bike for sure.

    I've had my 2022 Adventura for 4 months now and it's been a great bike. I've put 2,000 miles on it and I anticipated regretting buying a Chinese bike, but honestly it's been fantastic. I could definitely see buying an Ibex in the future.

    Great input & thoughts of the CFMoto range you now have in the states. Firstly, the 800MT (ibex) should have a new fuel map developed right here in Aus Downunder. CFMoto global was supposed to have rolled it globally to rectify the surging you mentioned. Secondly, the Touring model comes standard with heated grips & seat. An expedition version (released later I believe) will have Traction Control & switchable ABS. The next bike to arrive in the States is a 800NK naked bike using the same 790 KTM engine. A wheelie monster. Being Green, keeps you keen👌

    CFMOTO makes some high quality products. Rode a bunch of them at Daytona bike week demo event, what a bang for the buck and technology. The 450SS is sets the bar super high (what a fun and capable little bike), so does the CLX 700 and IBX.

    Nice video. Thank you. The CFMoto’s 650 is a complete copy of the of Kawasaki’s 650. They even admit to it being based on the older ER-NL, which is also the same as the current 649 cc 180 degree crank inline 2 cylinder engines. Bore and stroke exactly the same. All the 700’s are based on the same engine as the 650 (just a small bump in tcc’s) still with a built proof engine. The 450 and 800’s at least get a 270 degree crankshaft which arguably a better sounding and performing design. CFMoto have been selling their bikes in Australia for over 10 years now and as an original skeptic, I’m happy to say I’m now a fan as you get a lot more quality features at a lower price. 👍😎🇦🇺

      Have you seen the aftermarket options picking up in Australia then too? That seems to be a big factor for people in the US.

    • @marcusgeorge1825
      @marcusgeorge1825 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alexdombi-weridetwo Absolutely. From the CFMoto marketing people I’ve spoken to they first wanted to have each model tried and tested in Australia prior to launching them in America. The great thing for your country is they are priced very similar to what pay when you factor in the current exchange rate and you’re a bit further in sea freight costs. Unfortunately for Europe and the UK they are priced much higher. The 800 MT Explorer (Ibis for the states) is a bit snatchy and the quickshifter is a bit vague at times however it does improve after the break In period and no doubt a software update should improve this again.

    I would have liked a bit more comparison against the Versys 650 and the 800. Is the motor less prone to vibration than the kawa? How does the controls feel and the display? Weight diffences? I'm looking at either these 2 bikes used and I'm not sure what to get!

    • @alexdombi-weridetwo
      @alexdombi-weridetwo  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I feel like they are very comparable between the new '24 models. The Versys will have a bit more aftermarket availability which may be a determining factor. The Adventura was a smooth riding bike and I really enjoyed it compared to my 2015 Versys. I don't feel like one was more buzzy than the other. There are some more bells on the Adventura and the dash is awesome. They weigh within 3 pounds of each other. If I was looking at them side by side and both brand new, I'd be inclined to give the Adventura my vote- but if used is an option, I'd go with the Versys. Hopefully that helps.

    I have the adventura 650 and i hate it. Nothing but problems. Electrics are absolute crap. Kick stand switch broke, gas tank fuel guage went, then the random main fuse blown which is idiotically located under the tank. Lastly the heat and fairing design will fry your crotch. Crap warranty 5 year or 10k, realy 10k km? Try getting parts for them well good luck you will be waiting for months.
