    I don't know why but the engine on this model might might have different settings from the vendor or even a different stock muffler. The saga continues with the quality of the bike. It has been 21 days since I bought the bike. The electronics were attached with double sided tape. The only miles on the bike are riding home and then back to the dealership. The dealership has ordered parts twice and they arrived yesterday and they are wrong. They are ordering again but do not know what to expect. I called CF Moto in Minnesota and the rep on the phone said this is the dealership problem and that they would contact the dealer. Here in New Zealand they do not come with the hand guards or the luggage due to freight costs being so high post covid. They have knocked off the price though. I picked up my 2022 one for $8299 NZD. Roughly $5042 USD due to it missing the extras. To be honest I prefer the soft luggage in any case. Less to break when the bike drops. You can pick up good hand guards for it from Ali Express for around $35USD delivery included. I am still deciding on luggage options and have added a GIVI tank bag in the interim.

    Parts are hard to find in the US for the 650ADV . Stop lieing!!. I'm waiting over a month now for a new dash and for some reason the bike shuts down at 85mph. I do like the bike, though the foot pegs could be an inch or two to the rear.

    • @hoagiemoto
      @hoagiemoto  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Most CFMoto dealerships do not keep many parts on stock but that doesn't mean CFMoto doesn't have many parts in the US. I order CFMoto parts daily. The TFT displays really were on backorder for over the last month. I also had a display we were waiting on for almost 2 months for a warranty bike. CFMoto covered that display no questions asked. If it was in stock, it would've been to me within 2-3 days. I've worked in the motorcycle industry for almost 20 years and every manufacturer has backorder issues at times even before Covid! The Japanese backorders were easily 6+ months at times. Suzuki and Kawi are the worst with backorders. Was your dash problem a warranty? Did you take it to a dealer? I've not had one shut down at any speed like that

  • @justcruise241
    @justcruise241 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    So. Few things.
    1) it's a Chinese bike, so I can tell you 100% the app will be spyware.
    2) when that engine hits about 8,000 kilometres, it'll start to go wrong. They use the same engine in everything from 400NK to 650TR-G. They're a copy of a Kawasaki ER6N engine, made with less quality.
    3) be ready for the cylinder head to need replacing.
    4) you'll need to reflash the ECU after about 6,000 kilometres.
    Before anyone squawks, I own a 650GT. Exact same engine, ECU and specs.

    • @Happypillz
      @Happypillz 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just got it and the heat issues are crazy. 1. The app is kinda garbage. 2. It looks like a Versys just shity I guess. 3. Cylinder head at what time? 4. ECU flash ? What do you mean?

    • @justcruise241
      @justcruise241 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Happypillz I don't even bother with the app, I put in an aftermarket GPS tracker. I didn't want the CCP collecting my travel data. Cylinder head was done at 5,500kms and I had to argue with them and ended up comparing another 650GT to get them to admit fault. ECU is a common problem on CFMoto, the data corrupts. I was getting 120km per full tank, it had to be sent away to get remapped. Your heat issues can be solved by installing an aftermarket exhaust, the breadbox in the middle is a big problem. I've deleted that and have tried a few different combinations. Keep in mind you'll have to get a proper retune for your ECU if you change the exhaust. It's worth it though because my bike doesn't have heat issues now.

    • @justcruise241
      @justcruise241 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Happypillz depends on what country you live in. I live in China, which is why I bought domestic. It's near impossible to find anyone here properly qualified to do anything, which might explain the bad experience I've had and why I've taken to working on my own bike because I know what I'm doing and qualified to do it. There's one business that has a Dyno tuning company on Shenzhen and another workshop in Guangzhou, but I don't know if that helps you.

      @justcruise241 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Happypillz I replaced added my own frame sliders and engine cage. Better quality. I'm also looking into Ohlins shocks, a Kawasaki ER6N cylinder head and brembo brakes. They say they use brand name parts, but they're the cheapest of that brand. Also, I'm looking at even replacing the entire engine and gearbox with genuine Kawasaki. But there comes a point when I wonder if it's easier just to sell this and go JDM. But here it'll be way overpriced for anything imported.
