I just watched your video about travelling with a handicap. I am now elderly and disabled and haven't flown since 1998. I flew Air Canada last week from Ottawa to Toronto and back. I didn't ever get the electric personal transport cart but the Air Canada people that pushed me in a wheelchair were great. Very friendly and supportive. My return flight from Toronto to Ottawa got cancelled - I didn't know that it was possible to cancel a planeload of passengers but obviously it is - and I had to wait for standby which was stressful and nerve-wracking but again the Air Canada staff were great. I got home 6 ½ hours later than I was supposed to.
Seeing the staff at check in just made me think just how Chicago that check in really was and how genuine the people are! It's one of my favorite US Cities!
If you where over 3 hours late did you claim compensation for the delay? That would of had a significant reduction on the cost of the first class ticket.
Jamie Bardon Although the out-of-control EUCJ has completely reinvented (some would say perverted) the 261/04 rules, there are still a few things that allow airlines to delay. After all, airlines have absolutely no interest in delaying flight. It’s expensive, disruptive and just bad business.

roasthunter yeah. I guess fuel efficiency, better economics, and environmental friendliness does take precedence over the glory ad greatness of the 747.
Well done, Noel, another great report. Your children are wonderful - normal but so polite. I’m with your wife about not flying any other way. It was also fantastic to see a woman’s amenity kit - never get that as you guys normally seem to travel alone.
Love the attitude of the lady at the check-in desk. She seems to enjoy her job and is clearly quite a character. Hmmm I'm tempted to blow a few points on a BA 747 first class flight, purely for sentimental reasons. Great video Noel!
Samuel McDonald not the case with me. I’d rather business class than first class. And if someone would dare to be put me in economy on a flight that is 5 hours+ I’m going to go crazy
What a fun video to watch, given the kids. These days I enjoy taking my grandkids on trips. Seeing the old BOAC livery blew my mind! I remember flying Boston - Manchester on a BOAC VC-10 in 1967. That will date me for sure. (I was an 18 year-old punk headed out to study in England for a year as an exchange student.)
I would love to see how they treat your wife on a first class flight with other airlines. As the reason I don't fly long haul is because I am disabled and not every airline caters to ambulatory disabilities
Comfortable was the operative word for this flight. The extravagant luxury you get on some other airlines in First Class was absent, but I personally wouldn't miss it, and it would have been totally wasted on kids. I was initially appalled at the presumed cost for a family of four (six months' income for me), but your bargain price made it possible. Young children on long flights can be a trying experience for them, their parents and the other passengers, but First Class had enough distractions and comforts to keep them manageable. This is the first airline video I've seen with children!
Binge-watching a bunch of your videos over the past week or so. My one long-haul First Class flight was on a United 747 from NRT to SFO about 7 years ago. I’d booked an economy ticket on a pretty cheap fare ($800 or so round-trip), and upgraded to business using miles (my goal was to fly upper deck on the 747). Long story short, through a bunch of IROPS and routing changes, my upgrade dropped out when getting rebooked at the airport (same return flight, but different connection to get there). I asked the agent if there was any way I could get my original seat back on that flight, and after a few seconds of typing on her computer, she handed me a boarding pass for 3A instead. The longer story is that this was part of a trip on the United Island Hopper from Honolulu to Guam (I haven’t gone through all of your videos, but if you haven’t done this trip, then absolutely do it and do a video of it if the travel situation permits; if you have already done it, I’ll probably find it on here soon once I stumble across more old videos). We had a mechanical problem at our first stop of Majuro which resulted in a 24-hour delay while they flew a replacement part in from Guam to fix our plane. Enjoyed the unexpected stay on the island. Then the next day things went reasonably well until our crew timed out at Chuuk because of some kind of crew rest regulation. The crew went to a hotel for 8 hours while the passengers roamed the island. Since my original connection to Hong Kong was long gone (wound up missing it by 34 hours or so), I decided to rebook Guam-Tokyo to catch up to my original return, and that’s when all the upgrade fun happened.
Never mind the rest of the video; a brother and sis actually enjoying each others company at that age and playing together is a bloody miracle. I can't tell what the age difference is though.
I usually dread when I see children on planes. I do not get along with children and they don't get along with me. It's like trying to communicate with little aliens. But I have to give you your props. Your children were pleasant, well behaved and had better manners than a lot of adults. Kudos to you for doing such a wonderful job. Thank you for sharing your wonderful adventures. 💖💐🌻⚘💐💖
BOAC - Better On A Camel 😂 got that from an English friend who unfortunately passed away last year 😞. Loved to chat with him about aviation and the last time I saw him alive was at Brooklands Museum where he did volunteer work. R.I.P. Mike
The BOAC livery must be one of the coolest in aviation's history, all airlines should follow this great idea. Congrarulations for your video it was great!

@@jayd1426 I know I thought your comment was cool. We flew a Virgin Atlantic 747 to Orlando and back in the summer, nice planes, real shame most airlines are retiring them for more economical planes.
roasthunter yes indeed. The 747 Is and will always be the Queen of the Skies. She is an icon of aviation, peace, and unconditional love. Heartbreaking to see the 747s disappearing.
roasthunter yeah. I guess fuel efficiency, better economics, and environmental friendliness does take precedence over the glory ad greatness of the 747.
Loved this review thanks for sharing. You must be very proud of such well behaved children, what a credit to you and your wife 👍
Your son is a miniature version of u
Well done, Noel, another great report.
Your children are wonderful - normal but so polite.
I’m with your wife about not flying any other way.
It was also fantastic to see a woman’s amenity kit
- never get that as you guys normally seem to travel alone.
Love the videos like this, sets you apart from other trip reporters.
Thank you so much for the heart!
Love the attitude of the lady at the check-in desk. She seems to enjoy her job and is clearly quite a character. Hmmm I'm tempted to blow a few points on a BA 747 first class flight, purely for sentimental reasons. Great video Noel!
Not sure the BOAC livery quite goes back to the 50s/60s. More like 70's.
Wow!! kids will remember this one!! what a dad!!
Fantastic video! Can’t wait for the next video :D
i fARDED AND SHIDDED on the boeing-303 10/10
I haven’t been on first class
But in April I’m flying economy on the upper deck of the Ba A380
Your kids are living the dream.
Person in first class: OH MY DAYS THIS IS SO COOOOOL
(Kids walk in) ugh I’d rather be in Economy!
Economy be like
3 babys crying
Samuel McDonald not the case with me. I’d rather business class than first class. And if someone would dare to be put me in economy on a flight that is 5 hours+ I’m going to go crazy
I know a multi-millionaire's sons flew in first class and can only imagine that they behaved themselves.
I’ll be honest, I thought you were going to do the same thing like they did in Home Alone: First Class for the adults, Economy for the kids.
Your son looks like a mini Noel, literally.
That's the way to travel. Children were amazingly well behaved, credit to both of you.
You are so kind
Everybody should open their napkins like that.
@KingOfHammer
I have to say I'm a adult and I found that hilarious, and would have had a hard time not laughing if I was sitting nearby them. Hahaa.
Never mind the rest of the video; a brother and sis actually enjoying each others company at that age and playing together is a bloody miracle. I can't tell what the age difference is though.
I live in Chicago. Wish I could have seen you!
Fantastic price!! Kids belong in First Class as much as adults do! I’ve flown BA FC several times, absolutely fantastic service!
I agree with same NOTHING can beat a good maccies
WHAT IN THE HELL IS YOUR PICTURE ABOUT? ITS ALL A BIT STRANGE
Consistently the best cabin crew in the sky. Everyone should BA First once in their lifetime
BOAC - Better On A Camel 😂 got that from an English friend who unfortunately passed away last year 😞. Loved to chat with him about aviation and the last time I saw him alive was at Brooklands Museum where he did volunteer work. R.I.P. Mike
Air New Zealand has the best livery in the world! 😍
Ah, but with regards to which aircraft? Are we talking about the Middle Earth liveries, the basic pacific wave, or the All Blacks for rugby?
The BOAC livery must be one of the coolest in aviation's history, all airlines should follow this great idea. Congrarulations for your video it was great!
Hi Noel! Love your videos!!!
Do you mind me asking what you doing for a job that enables you to travel so much?
Where do I sign up 😂
He’s full time on here
@@spookygh0st234 but he's not making thousands and thousands from just TH-cam surely?
He works in I.T.
He has said in previous vids he works in IT
Hey, I’m full time TH-cam now. We don’t make thousands lol, but it keeps a roof over our heads and gives us a modest lifestyle.
What an awesome video!! So Glad Your Children got to experience First in the nose of the Iconic Jumbo!! I still remember my first trip in First on QF on 747-300 Sydney-Cairns in January 1989!! Awesome Experience
