One of THE BEST teacher ever found in TH-cam. Thank you so much for making this video. I watched lots of TH-cam channel but not used to write comments below. This video deserve lots of like and comments. 🎉 Woow!
Good overview. And a lot of detail as well. I'm hoping the next mitochondria-specific vid will be on some of the dysfunctions of the organelle and how that presents and is treated in patients. To try and address these issues within the cell really is the holy grail of genetic therapy as these genes are so vital and so conserved. There really is no room for error whatsoever.
Thank you. Great efforts to make the subject easy to be understood. I have two remarks: 1- Glycolysis does not take place in the mitochondria, but in the cytoplasm. 2- Acetyl-CoA can not be converted into pyruvate. I am sure you know that.
Thank you, Zak, for your detailed and logical explanation. It really helps us understand a lot of vital processes. If you can explain in a video about vitamins in great detail, thank you again for your good work.❤
Why is it unfortunately the side reaction of oxygen in the electron transport chain? Apart of the reactive oxygen species? Because those electrons are not converted into ATP?
Thanks for this video - it was really great, and I learned about a lot of things I didn't know I didn't know. I'll have to watch it again, maybe other videos as well to really get that in my brain, but it was great.
"Glycolysis has to occur inside the mitochondrial matrix". Does glycolysis occur inside the mitochondrial matrix? I thought glycolysis occured in the cytosol?
Technically speaking, glycolysis occurs in the cytoplasm and the cytoplasm consists of the mitochondria. So, it's safe to say Glycolysis occurs in the cytoplasm; if needed, we can say it happens in the mitochondria. The correct answer would be the cytoplasm.
Hey bro, you are the best biology teacher in the world im realy happy that found you😍and i understand biology better now. Thank you bro😍😍😍 I love you muchhhh❤❤❤❤
I ended up here because I was looking up Kuru and then Parasite Eve.. I left all searches educated better than traditional school and Scared.. Thanks...
There has been some research into Inclusive Body Myositus that my husband has. It is where the muscles begin to waste away? Could you project what might be happening from a scientific viewpoint.
by 10:31 you say the unfulded, inactive proteins get active and folted by proteases, but dont they have the function too brake them off? (my english isnt good sorry)
I want to be engulfed intu the next level of creation evolution of my soul mind being.thank u body for destroying the icky version of myself that the past created.
More detail !!!! Semi autonomous Atp machinery Protien formation machinery Endosymbiont nature etc could have been included. You are doing great job but please give a broader view of concepts

Mitochondrial matrix
You’re gonna be the one I’ll be thanking the most after my 1st year of med school
Thank you so much! Watching a video about different types of mitochondrial dysfunction, their causes, and their clinical features would be great.
Thanks, it's quite helpful 😊

Respect !!!
More detail !!!!
Semi autonomous
Atp machinery
Protien formation machinery
Endosymbiont nature etc could have been included.
You are doing great job but please give a broader view of concepts
he has separate videos for all of them, no need to turn this video into 1,5 hours when you can already find all that on the channel…
Triptopone levels for heart stress where does this occur?
Sir please upload plastids topic
Zak please we need lecture about drugs of diabetes
But glycolysis doesn’t occur in the mitochondrial Matrix but in the cytoplasm
👍🏻👍🏻
Hi. I need to learn this. I am a science teacher. I ask permision to you to download this. Thanks.

Better 👍
Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell.
thanks but pls add cytoskeleton video to this ' cell biology ' playlist thanks again... well onto cytoskeleton now
