What a legend. I let out a chuckle when you said "chillin bro" as you explained the clinical presentations. It is the little things that show how passionate you are about what you do
Absolutely love your videos! I have medically induced hypothyroidsm, it's been so hard to try and explain to new GP's that I need their help rather than them just insisting i go to my psychiatrist - Educating myself with your videos has definetly helped me better understand my body and what i can do to help it. Also super helpful when thinking about it in a veterinary context too! Ps. Also love seeing why my doctors had me going to all these different tests haha
totally agree, only educational TH-cam channel that's been able to capture my attention and helps me remember info later on. I think is the drawing on the go.
I have treated my conditions with the supplementations of vitamin d3k2, copper and zink and the conditions went into remission, including a reduction in diabetes
Is it possible to talk about a little physiology before you delve into the disease itself? Like you would do in the retired videos. For example, talk about how TSH is produced and its function. It used to tie the entire thing together beautifully. :)
Exactly . This is Clinical Medicine not physiology!!! Everything is explained perfectly in his old videos!! They are not outdated. Physiology is always the same never changes
Postpartum thyroiditis is likely to be transient if only occurs once. But if it occurs after successive pregnancies/postpartum periods, each occurrence makes it less likely that full thyroid function will be restored.
@@ghosnalbanalnsierat6361 Yes some people can have a genetic predisposition to low thyroid function and their postpartum thyroiditis becomes permanent hypothyroidism.
Double check this because I’m not a med student but I think it probably is due in part bc hypothyroidism reduces renal flow which results in more fluid retention & therefor higher overall blood pressure (bc there is more fluid in the system). Also I think they have more salt too which also increases water retention and results in increased overall pressure
Hypothyroidism leads to changes in elasticity of blood vessels making them stiffer. This reduced elasticity causes higher diastolic pressure because vessels are less able to accommodate for the blood flow without increasing pressure especially during relaxation phase of the heart , diastole

My sister had one pregnancy but she still have hypothyroidism even after many years, do you know why is like that? Is it a hereditary thing?
@@ghosnalbanalnsierat6361 Yes some people can have a genetic predisposition to low thyroid function and their postpartum thyroiditis becomes permanent hypothyroidism.

I have a question if anyone could answer, why does the DIASTOLIC bp rise in case hypothyroidism?
