    I got a DEXA scan done this morning and I’m very pleased with the results thus far. Over the past five weeks I have put on 5 pounds of lean muscle mass. That averages out to about a pound of muscle per week which is in credible! I also put on 8 pounds of fat mass. Most of this fat was put on in the subcutaneous area, also known as adipose fat. My visceral fat barely moved since the last DEXA scan. Your visceral fat is very dangerous as you cannot see it because it is inside your body and cushions your organs. The more visceral fat you have, the more chance you have of contracting a metabolic disease. this fat can be burned off by doing high intensity, interval training, and or high cardio training. Add opposed tissue fat is readily available and is able to be burned for energy when in a deficit or doing low state cardio or heavy weight training.
