Because of this video I purchased Trim Serum. I’m amazed at how well it works. I have a 2007 Chevy Colorado pickup that’s in great shape. The front and rear bumpers were extremely faded. When I say extremely I mean extremely. About a month ago I used Trim Serum for the first time. It literally made the old faded black plastic look new. In my opinion it’s the single best appearance product I’ve ever used, bar none. If you knew me you’d know I don’t blow smoke. This stuff works!
I use this one. I really like it. I warm up the trim with a heat gun just a bit before applying. Seems to soak in better and last longer. Warm, not hot.
I used Mothers trim cleaner and then trim restorer. It pretty much did nothing. So I tried the Lithium trim serum. I just did it today and for now it looks great.
How does this compare to Solution Finish? Which one do you use most? My most used trim process is simply APC, IPA, followed by a dirt cheap ceramic coating. I just can't beat that combination's very low cost, quick process, great results and extreme durability. If it is incredibly bad I'll hit it with a little heat as well. I don't seem to get a lot of clients that care much about trim or want to raise the total budget for it. The cheap coating is a perfect low cost way to overdeliver that has the durability of an expensive trim specific coating. I have found no benefit using expensive coatings on trim. Only use the cheap stuff on trim, but it has always worked very well for me. I plan on coating my work car with a few different cheap and expensive coatings and see how it shakes out. I did order Solution Finish, but have yet to work with it. I seem to be doing more and more trim and badge removal jobs lately.
Funny facts, I see your video and before the video is done I already found the product online and ordered. Than I finish watching 👍🏼 P.S. Trust is hard to build
I am especially interested in this video because I'm getting frustrated with trim dressings. Everything I try leaves visible trails down my black truck after rain. The one exception is Black Pearl, but that doesn't seem to like some of the trim on my vehicle. It's fine on the rubber and mud flaps, but either peels or is very streaky on other plastic surfaces. Did you notice the Lithium residue running at all? Is my only option a ceramic coating for trim and plastic?
It's all very nice, but all someone's opinion. I have watched 20 different reviews with 20 different outcomes, but thanks for your effort. I tend to start with the least expensive and work up until I find one that satisfies ME! I keep looking for a product made in Canada but I guess they are too busy making space arms and shit like that. LOL
I just ordered some, I havnt received it yet thou. I was also thrown off a bit by the price till I saw, in many videos, how little you need to actually use. I think the 16oz bottle I ordered will probably last me half a lifetime considering I only have one vehicle to take care of. And in the long run If it actually works the way it should I wouldn't mind buying another bottle even 10 years down the line. Check out some more videos on this stuff to see how little you actually need to use. Many videos on here use way to much compared to others but the results are always the same, nice new looking black plastics. Anyway I hope you try it out I know im looking foward to it. God bless ✌ 😊 ✝ ❤
Thanks for another great video Brian. Always informative! Side note, I would like to see a gloss comparison between DPC Armor ( or any high gloss Sio2) and Pinnacle Souveran Past Wax. I know they`re 2 different type of products but I always see people going back and forth about what puts out better shine and gloss, ceramic coatings, Sio2, Carnauba, etc. Your demonstrations are on point always. Thanks Brian.
Hi Brian have you seen an SDS for this product? I would love to read it. Keen to give it a try as I dont use dressings and haven't for a decade and am seeking something truly unique.
Ive tried a couple different kinds but seem to like the wolfgang exterior trim sealant the most. Its expensive though. Ive tried the solution finish stuff on some severely faded stuff and im not terribly impressed.Have you tried gtechniq or black wow?
Nice, that stuff will last years in some ares. I use VRP 4-1, takes more passes or rubbing with to get it smooth or takes time to dry on the surface. With some mud flappers it stays dark and smooth for a couple of months, other exterior areas like truck bed trim way less time before fading. Brian, do you quote more or charge more $, specially now with newer cars having large areas of trim on the bottom of the bumpers and fenders sometimes? It's a lot of extra work if customers want it detailed/dressed
for me its quicker/easier because less paint to clay + polish, just degreaser with soft brush, hose off then trim shine. easy. its just less clear coat to correct
Besides washing and waxing what else could I put on my front grill and headlights, just the front end to keep bug guts from ruining my paint and grill. I have a graphene coating but bug guts are tough. Help
This is fantastic !! Is this product can reduce or remove some squiking noise from the rubber trim on the doors against the car frame ?? Thanks for the review 👍🏻
I saw your video where you demoed "The Lithium" line and was really impressed with the results! Brian if you were going to pick just one product from the line that could be added to an arsenal of products that I already own! I'm thinking the Trim Serum would be great to have but I really like what I saw from the "Gloss Sauce" as a carnuba/polymer wax when you tested it! Did you also test the "Hide Rehab" in the previous video! I would like to have them all to try but I just have way to much product that I haven't used yet! I've got plenty of great interior cleaners as I bought some of the CarPro Multi-X after I saw how effective it was and how you used it for cleaning the interiors on your details and knowing that it is specifically developed for auto interior and exteriors as well and isn't harsh like APC cleaners can be on the cheaper and more sensitive interior plastics and vinyl's as well as leather! Great video and demo for the Lithium Trim and I can't imagine not being able to use this product on every single vehicle that I detail but I'm just wondering how long would a bottle of the Trim Serum last cause it ain't cheap at $36.99 and I'm not doing that many details yet but that could change quickly! Thanks for all your awesome effort as always Brian to help all of us "Struggling" detailers as we try to ramp up our business and improve our "RESULTS"! :-) Sincerely, Mac in Tuscaloosa!
I do have the CarPro Perl and I can't believe I haven't used it yet but I haven't so maybe I should hold off on the "Trim Serum" until I've used up my Carpro Perl! Ha!Ha! Maybe it should be the "Hide Rehab" or the "Gloss Sauce"!
Would you say this product lasts longer than the Angle wax Corona? I’m trying to determine which to purchase. I have a few wranglers and the black plastic flares and bumpers are faded pretty bad. I just want and all around great product. Thanks
Anyone who has used this (lithium trim serum) have you used it inside the car on plastic/vinyl and do you recommend that? How toxic looking is ingredient list?
Great Video Brian. May have missed you saying.. Is this something that dries to the touch? Wondering if it would work well on interior pieces? I currently have Black Pearl, Solution Finish, Carfidnt Ultimate Plastic trim restorer, and C9 Carbon Flex.
most often people do ZERO (as in NO prep on the area. they get it, go to their auto, wipe the area with a dry towel, apply product. then they say the product SUCKS.
Apex Detail you probably mentioned it and i missed it ,but how strong is the smell left behind after its applied? Could the smell be tolerated if used inside the cabin of the vehicle? Btw I'd like to see a longivity comparison of this and Gyeon Q2 Tire gel.
sorry if i mist it, but can this solution be diluted like Carpro perl? or its a totally different animal! Results are Awesome by the way!! Thanx Brian! :-)
Same with me. Black Pearl doesn't run, but it doesn't apply well to some texture plastics and peels and looks streaky and uneven. Guessing the best option is a trim ceramic coating like Carpro DLux or something equivalent from GTecniq or Gyeon.
Sounds maybe stupid, I spray a lot off WD-40 on a old mf towel and touch up/wipe down everything it cleans and protects the engine bay. This will hold-up 2-3 months. Because everything is 'coated' the next time you clean up with WD-40 is an easier process to get look everything like new. I do this for many years and I love it
Yeah, I can see it working but the fumes you end up breathing in should be enough to make anyone look for another alternative. WD-40 is undoubtedly a great product with so many uses. But there are more user friendly, water-base products you could try too.
Nice job Brian, 303 Protectant gives that same look and not greasy but does not last as long but cost much less. This looks like an oil like a clear vegetable oil, maybe a olive or other kind of oil could provide similar results and cost way less? Will you do some testing with those??
Scrap or not, educational or not, doing that under the hood and spraying the engine compartment down with water is gonna get someone into quite the pickle. I wish that wasn't the case lol
@@metalpolishshop I have not, our cars are newer so these type of products don't get used all that much but I hear solution finish is great though, just a fan of 303 products.
Yes 303 aerospace protectant my go to product as well. For longer term I use Ultima tire and trim gaurd . In my climate I have gotten over a year on some plastics. Solution finish does work extremely well on beaten up and faded. Testing longevity when topped with Ultima
What trim restore/conditioner/protectant do you have in your arsenal?
Solution Finish
I have the Adams trim restorer and coating kit. I will do the window cal and the rear plastic defuser👍🏻I will see It wor

Carpro Perl 👍🏻

Great tip using glass cleaner👍🏻
Is it really okay to spray water into your engine compartment with a garden hose?
I love that stuff also!
Lithium trim Serum is really the best. A little goes a long way. Solution Finish is pretty good maybe 2nd best.
I am definitely going to have to get some of this! Thank you Sir.
So it will last 6 months under the hood? How about outside trim with normal washes?

Lol at people freaking out about getting your engine bay wet. Like that never happens when you’re driving 70mph in a rainstorm.
another great video again buddy. b well...
Should be great on tires as well..yes?
Testing durability as we speak.
How does this stuff work for rubber, door trim etc?
I have this and like it a lot!
Is it safe to used on rubber and around/over chrome lettering? Because I'm worried about taping over all the letters. Thanks!

How do remove Trim Serum from a plastic trim?
Brian, can you demo DPC Armor on an engine compartment?

Will that work on tonneau cover of a truck
Brian did the "Hide Rehab" leave a matte finish or more of a gloss on the leather when you tested it? :-)
Very Nice!
Work in tires?
I was going to try Mckees for my engine, any thoughts?
I have no problems with McKees👍
I know this doesn't matter but I can't get over the salad dressing bottles
I know right?
Brian, have you used their Leather Love product?
Looks great ..
Is it ok for PPF?
How long does it last after application?
Can't you bypass using chemicals to clean the engine bay by just by using a steam cleaner?
