I have samsung but these heavy third party customisation is one of the reason to degrade or slow down android devices. There are security concerns and performance issue also makes mobile look like cheap chinese toy. I would rather have inbuilt customisation which will not impact mobile. Thats why iphone gives certain limitations and feels premium over the year. I love both samsung and apple.
With so many customizations it is always confusing and we initially are excited and then set one and forget. Main purpose of the phone is to make a call and use apps for productivity and take pictures. So I think iPhone is doing at the basic stuff needed
All this can be done in miui too, with themes there's no limit, you can change your interface to any ui, change status bar, notification panel, settings, lockscreen what not everything is customisable
Everyone seems to be fixated in these customization pros but the biggest con of these is the way they affect battery life.These customization draiiinnnss batttery like crazy
It’s just perspective: Samsung guys want to personalise phone looks(messy but personal preference). Apple guys want their company to work on how phones should look(simple and fast to use)
Controversial but. 80%-90% will not gonna put effort for customise there phone to ultimate level. They just do the basic customisation and live with that.
Samsung is insane ngl i am using s21 ultra since last 3 years and the phone still has options which i haven't explored. Blows my mind what samsung has achieved considering i was iphone x and oneplus user previously. I don't think i will ever be able to switch to another system now. S24 ultra looks so plush but i am waiting for little more change in design hope s25 does it for me.

i don’t think 90% of people will ever change these things and will prefer the ease of use. Keeping so many apps on the lock screen will only complicate the experience rather than simplifying it.
No it won't complicate it, maybe for you, but samsung has kept itself simple with immense customization, and this is just the tip of the iceberg. And goodlock is used by only those who don't consoder customization complicated, that's why rather than integrati g it with system settings, they have made a seperate utility
It's called making your phone the way you like it to be and it's super fun. Don't know who doesn't like to change things atleast after a while using the same damn theme everytime
