Never forget that Adam Sandler is an amazing actor and chose to do less serious films in order to support his friends by hiring them to work on his films. He traded a more fulfilling career for the opportunity to elevate the lives of his friends. Pretty good trade if you ask me.

With the friends, with people, that’s how depression and anguish and pain are shown.
I’m an emotional person, God has blessed me with the ability to feel, to empathize with others and that has made me more emotional that most boys my age.
And like all people I have problems, in my life, it seems like no matter what I do, what I accomplish, how strong my relationship is with God I’m just let at the end of the day unhappy and unfulfilled.
I’ve seen things and experienced things that most 16 year olds haven’t, and I felt so horrible about certain stuff I decided to change personality and how I treat people entirely. I try to make people laugh, I’m always there for my friends, I wish some people would check in on me so I make sure to do that for my friends.
My point is, as this usually happy and energetic person that tries to be in a good mood and treat people well, it seeps in from time to time and I just break. Emotions suck

Yeah Uncut Gems was a hell of a ride and he portrayed that “degenerate gambling-can’t make a right decision to save his life even though he’s aware of what the right decision is - what the hell is this dumbass doing - I can’t help but feel sorry for/yet simultaneously have no sympathy for the dudes continuous fuckery” type character sooooo well in that movie! And if the ending didn’t blow your mind the same way it blew Adam Sandlers mind the first time you seen it, you must have not been paying attention haha. But no for real, that movie is something else and absolutely displays his abilities as a top tier actor, no doubt!

People never notice that Adam is actually a good actor. I've watched some of his films or parts of his films where it's actually serious and he manages to kill it.
This is also giving me some Breaking Bad vibes with how that empty house is seen with flashbacks of an old life but now it's all gun, even our main man just broken. And coincidentally Bryan Cranston used to act for comedy, then he got casted for Breaking Bad.

This is why I love Adam Sandler. No matter how bad his movies can be, I love this man.

The scene when we get to see how he sees his daugthers and his wife all the time in his empty house, that was brutal.

One of my favorite movies ever. Cry every time I watch it.

always hated sandlers comedies but reign over me and punch drunk love made me sit up and take notice. reign over me seems to be one of his lesser known serious roles. he is phenomenal when he puts the effort in.
