In this scene from the TV show, The Bear, Carmen finally after three seasons, confronts his old boss, a role played by Joel McHale. The actor has only had sheer seconds of screentime during the run of the show, and yet, his mysterious role is undeniably powerful. Here, we finally see their confrontation play out.
Jim Carrey: Amazing Performances (1999 - 2009)
มุมมอง 605 หลายเดือนก่อน
I've selected scenes from films starring Jim Carrey between the years 1999 and 2009, which as an adult, I feel was some of Jim's best work. His amazing comedy from the 90's is still there, but there is a little more maturity and more focus on giving stronger more dramatic roles. Here is to an excellent decade in the actor's movie career, some of these films releasing back to back. Please Like a...
Jim Carrey's Most Dramatic Role Ever
มุมมอง 1K5 หลายเดือนก่อน
People always put into question whether comedy actors have it in them to do dramatic or serious roles. Much like in my Adam Sandler video, I want to share some scenes from the 2016 film, Dark Crimes with Jim Carrey and Marton Csokas. Jim's character is trying to unravel an unresolved case revolving a murder incident. Based on actual events. If anyone ever tells you Jim Carrey can't play serious...

Even when he is serious, it feels weird taking him seriously
Teddy!
Bro heihachi sounds like he's been on those political subreddits for too long that it has rotten his brain.
man this rules
Came here after watching Sonic 3 for the second time. What a trip. It's clearly him, with the same tone, cadence, facial expressions, etc. It's actually challenging for me to take him completely seriously; He's been doing comedy almost exclusively for so long that bits of his mannerisms more appropriate for humorous effect show through at times, even if he doesn't intend for them to. EG at 0:52, particularly at the line "You fucked him," the way he cocks his head, squints his eyes, and even appears to have a subtle smile as he delivers the line. And during the middle scene, when his character cries, it doesn't sound like actual crying; It sounds like borderline comedic fake crying, particularly at 2:57 when he goes "Huhohohohohoh." He seems at least passable for the serious role the majority of the time, though - Maybe I wouldn't notice his specific oddities as much if I watched the actual movie and was seeing these scenes with all of the other characters in their own context.
@@JozMkII tbh its a boring movie, but he does have some intense scenes.
this is fucking awesome
@@roxbianne thx man. That website is still up btw. It was called Ms paint adventures
thank god for subtitles, not a native English speaker combine with the accent he used it basically incomprehensible for me.
Dude, he's scary 😲 😱 when hes serious
:58-1:03 that shot HAD to be inspired by DBZ.
I wish this fight was at least a minute long, its good stuff
idk their was anime
What movie is this
Reign over Me
The sub is better 😂
How is that surprising? Click fucking wrecked me emotionally
sandler does those awful movies with his friends for money and free holidays and then every so often does something like this to remind people that he can actually act
This is where I'm at in life. I'm done. I'm ready to be at peace and non-existence forever.
Wanna talk about it?
People don't get that most unserious and goofy actors like Adam Sandler, Jonah Hill, and Bill Hader absolutely kill dramatic/serious roles because being a good on-screen comic is much harder than people realize and it ranslates well into roles when you can truly see their acting prowess shine
The tears of a clown
I <3 Don Cheadle
whenever adam gets sad or serious it’s so entertaining to watch, u just wanna see what he’s gonna do, he’s a great actor he needs more serious roles
This movie has stuck with me forever. Great edit.
This has become my new nightmare.
What an honor lmao
I knew buddy was good once I saw little Nicky
Adam Sandler is a real one, he stood with his friends and family instead of smelling his soul to hollywood.
In pretty sure you mean selling, but yeah, Adam Sandler seems to be a pretty nice guy and by far, has a much better personality compared to a HUGE majority of Hollywood Celebs nowadays. 🙂
the pearl jam cover of reign o’er me from this movie is magnificent as well
Pretend you're the guy and you don't wanna die!
Fuck is War Machine doing there 😂
Adam would have made a phenomenal drama actor, he simply chose to do his own thing for a very long time, but now as he is getting older he is doing a lot more serious movies which I apprechiate.
Sandler is a pretty great actor when hes not running with scripts his family and friends come up with.
I saw that movie and cried all through the second half. It was beautiful and poignant and I never want to see it again. Just this clip makes me misty.
This is why I love Adam Sandler. No matter how bad his movies can be, I love this man.
Its mr Pizza party himself
I remember renting this from Blockbuster when it came out, I was about 13. The Sandman blew me away. This and Uncut Gems shows he can deliver in a drama.
He only has one character. This is the script talking.
I don't think that's true but even if it is. This is still an amazing performance
I always noticed even in funny movies when the moment gets serious and sad, he really puts his all into it.
What is this movie
Reign over me
Great actor
It's honestly criminal that sandler didn't win an oscar for Uncut Gems, that was such an incredible performance and if it wasn't for his reputation he likely would have won easily, or at the very least been nominated.
This is very well written brother. I would add that if we, men, become obsessed with sex, it might be because we don't have a good anchor in our lives for our self worth.
You know I think exactly the same way. Being obsessed with women is like being a dope fiend. As soon as you start focusing on yourself you'll find a lot more self-worth.
Such an amazing film
Adam Sandler figured it out. Carefully selected comedies to build enough star power and wealth to build his own movie studio. And then churned out a bunch of goofball movies just so that he could overpay his cast and crew, make sure his friends were doing okay. But he would get an itch to do a serious role, whenever he felt that he needed to really contribute to the art of cinema, and then he'd knock it out of the park. So now we've got a goofball who looks out for his friends and reminds us to take him seriously from time to time, and it's almost entirely on his own terms. He really figured it out.
people who are able to make us laugh are the best at making us cry
Bro….
I know right
Oh what’s my favorite movie genre? Comedy actors in serious movies
Pretty coool ahaha
I hope Sandler does more serious movies. Sort of over the comedy stuff. Unless it is as good as 50 First Dates or something. But just havent got that same feel recently, Grown Ups wasnt bad though. (Still need to checkout Uncut Gems or whatever it is called.
I keep saying I'm gonna watch Uncut Gems too
Adam Sandler is a fantastic actor. 'Uncut Gems' is another one where he really acted his ass off. If any of you haven't seen it yet, check it out. Just make sure you aren't in a bad mood and don't have any anxiety when you watch it. That movie seems to just amplify it.
I really like to see him in such roles. Such amazing actor.
Remember when bobby boucher showed up at half time and the mud dogs won the bourbon bowl do ya? WEOOOOO
Thank you! Im an honest fan - man is severely underrated, and uncut gems gives that peek back into his range.
Whats the name of the movie?
Reign over me from 2007
This feels so real because his character could've been just one of the overplayed, wacky characters he played throughout the years that have gone through a real tragedy, losing their soul in the process.
