Could you possibly do an Army list for the people who are trying to get into the game but aren’t quite familiar on how to build an Army? Much appreciated! Keep of the great work!
Hey! I do army list review streams every Monday that cover a lot of that thought process. In addition, last month I released a video on “How to start a Tyranid army”. I highly recommend you check those out! Thanks for watching!
Very nice video, loved hearing your thoughts on the detachments! My personal ranking: 1. Assimilation Swarm -> Buffs were very good to an already imo underrated detachment 2. Invasion Fleet -> Invasion Fleet 3. Vanguard Onslaught -> Great Detachment rule, good stratagems 4. Crusher Stampede -> good detachment rule, good stratagems 5. Warrior Bioform Onslaught -> decent detachment rule, decent stratagems, one very good one tho!! 6. Unending Swarm -> okayish detachment rule, decent stratagems. Tervigon/Hive Tyrant + 15+ Termagaunts gives sustained hits and lethal hits on a 5+ which can hit suprisingly hard! Reviving once is still good, I use CP more for blast removal and sustained hits on 5+ 7. Synaptic Nexus -> imo bad detachtment rule, clashes with many tyranid data sheets. A lot of good tyranid units already have an invuln, only hormogaunts have advance n charge so for the rest it's just +1 for one of those, +1 to hit is okay, but most melee stuff already hits on a 2+. Stratagems are good, irresisable will is great, smoldering shadow can be fun, but relies on a failed battleshock, fall back shoot n charge is great, the rest is meh to bad.
to make Warrior Bioform Onslaught better we could just get the Ranged warrior buff we have been asking for since we got the index and codex. let Ranged warriors hit on 3+ instead of 4+ with ranged weapons. and the buff i would like the Anti Vehicle/monster keyword for Venom Cannon and Heavy venom cannon, and the Anti infantry keyword for Barbed Strangler and Stranglethorn Cannon. it is lore accurate and atm the two weapons are way to similar. it would also make both Ranged Warriors and Ranged Carnifex more viable, and maybe even giving an alternative to the few things we got vs Vehicles (Exocrine/Tyranofex)
I'm going to start a second army alongside my Adepta Sororitas and have decided on the Tyranids! While searching for good videos about Tyranids, I came across your channel and immediately subscribed. Now I'm going to browse through your videos. Greetings from Germany. :)
I definitely think slots 4th-2nd are pretty fluid. What made me take crusher was because I think vanguard just bounces too often and crusher has been so prevalent in teams tournaments as well as singles. Assimilation is kind of an unknown factor right now and I didn’t want to put it too high until the dust settles. Thanks for watching!
I have a question for Assimilation Swarm it says that Rippers are harvesters......... So rippers can heal other tyranids every turn or did I miss something?
Invasion fleet for sure. However a strong synaptic nexus shooting line could do well too. It’s really more of making sure you have screening units to prevent them from charging your important stuff. Check out my “how to beat melee armies” where I go over that in detail!
I actually like triple norn more in synaptic nexus than crusher. Since the Norns natively hit on 2’s they don’t get as much benefit to the detachment as other monsters do. Thanks for watching!
Yo, you keep saying -1 to hit with a maleceptor on a couple videos now. Isn’t it only -1 to hit if the enemy unit is within 6”? It just feels like you’re presenting it as more than that. Correct me if I’m wrong! I’d love to be wrong about this one.
I’m going to take my Tyranids to a league that doesn’t lock me into detachment game to game, so going to do Invasion and Crusher. See which one does better, but I think Invasion 5+++ is a great tool to stick a bug out there, and have it live to shot back. Thanks for ideas on the detachments.
Was trying to come up with 1k warrior list landed on 1winged ht, 2 prime, bio, 2lictor, 12 melee, 3 range and an Exocrine.... is this kinda what you were thinking
I'm the opposite, I benched all the chaos factions I own because it's just not enough models or detachment. Tyranids at least get updates, which makes them more fun. I own 5k points of each chaos faction but now own 9k in tyranids.
@AnonMaxs chaos right now are very good though tyranids just arent. Got 5k of models i dont even want to use, had more fun with my harridan and heirophant in an apocalypse match than i have with competitive nids this edition, i wouldnt dare take them to a tournament they are just lacking
@chaosclg I guess that comes down to play style. I believe warrior bioform is very good, but some people rate it low (Maybe because I own 66 Warriors, not bias at all). I'm not a meta chaser, I enjoy breaking the Meta. Every to their own opinions, but everytime I play WE, I regret it. Love them but just so one dimensional. Same with thousand sons. DG is just the same. Needs more models and detachments for all the chaos factions.
@@AnonMaxs i rate it low cos i dont rate warriors lol got 3 printers aquiring models isnt the issue plying tyranida just feels like they have to struggle they are underpowered and not enough invul. I went 4 and 0 with black legion last month and im doing well with all infantry bile list so i can play its just not nids
@chaosclg The Grotmas Bile detachment does look really good, thought about going into CSM because of it. No CSM player at our LGS but a lot of Necrons with their 4 invuls and C'tans. I feel you with the "not enough invul" and the struggle is real, but I think that's why I love it. If can beat a army and good players with what people think is "bad" feels so good. I don't think its under powered, just requires very good playstyle and placement.
About Nexus ... well good to play 2 norns emissaries despite the nerf of the -1aP start. Very good for Zohantropes too. I love my rerool 1 for hit and wound. Fall back and shoot is great too.
1:56 Unending Swarm
5:18 Warrior Bioform Onslaught
9:32 Synaptic Nexus
14:04 Assimilation Swarm

ive never seen anyone put crusher stampede this high cant say i agree but interesting take.

I love the genestealers with tentacles as well
They’re super cool!
I have a question for Assimilation Swarm it says that Rippers are harvesters......... So rippers can heal other tyranids every turn or did I miss something?
Yes, they can heal every command when units within 6.
No that's right
Can monster be targeted by tank shock stratagem like its said in your video for crusher stampede? I thought it was only for vehicle.
Sorry I was referring to the Massive Impact stratagem. It’s actually closer to a grenades strat than tank shock. Sorry for the confusion.
@@WednesdayNightWarhammer Make sens! thank you.
Which detachment would you recommend for facing against World Eaters?
Invasion fleet for sure. However a strong synaptic nexus shooting line could do well too. It’s really more of making sure you have screening units to prevent them from charging your important stuff. Check out my “how to beat melee armies” where I go over that in detail!
Discord link doesn’t work for me 😢
Is a 3 norn list viable in crusher stampede?

Yes, just within 6 but it’s really strong when having multiple units in the midboard around it.
@ awesome, thank you for clarifying! Your videos make me a better member of the swarm!
Timestamps would make this Video even Better! Thanks!

What lone op Nerf.. it still the same 12"... Not 18
It was in a recent faq or slate. Pretty much all lone op stratagems were changed to effect 18 out instead of 12.
If its a stratagem that say unshootablr outside 12
Its now 18
But inherent lone op like lictors is still 12"
@@scolack123 so it's not a lone op change. It a strat change. 2 different things
@@mkulchar yeah
Its just nicknamed Lone Op strats because it used to give 12" no targeting like true lone op
My favorite is invasion fleet too.
I love adrenal surge and rapid régénération.
My objective, impact the better ennemis units with Adrenal surge. 👍
