    I love Diptyque fragrances and absolutely love Philosokos - such a beautiful fig. Absolutely love you two. Hope your channel continues to grow. Such a summery background, enjoying a cold beer on a hot day.

      I am Nicholas James yes Sel Marin is fantastic. It was actually on my ‘to buy’ list for the summer, but I never got around to buying it! Next summer!

    Try the Geranium pour Monsieur in early autumn (especially the rainy days), you'd like it even more. The Tauer is a good pick, and you could wear a lot of other dry, resinous stuff in summer like things from Lutens. Moreover, some perfumes are best when worn out of the obvious context. Nice video.

    • @WaftsfromTheLoft

      Thanks, and completely agree about wearing fragrances outside their ‘obvious’ context

    Once again, great video and insight. Thanks for combining niche fragrances with inexpensive fragrances. Also, thanks for the wide variety of summer fragrances. Spring has just begun and summer is on the horizon, but I enjoyed watching this. It helps to get the list together. I'm now enjoying this hobby with my son, and I sent this to him. I'm thinking sampling some of the fragrances you mentioned in here is a great way to get ready for the warm weather. Thanks again, gents! Happy sniffing, indeed!

    Great list chaps! L'Huministe truly lovely but on me woeful performance....and I must try Lonesome Memories,as it didn't think it would really work in summer?

    • @WaftsfromTheLoft
      @WaftsfromTheLoft  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      pete james yes, when I’m wearing l’humaniste I tend to take a decant our so I can keep topping up. LM is probably more one for a summer’s evening, and you have to been in the right mood to rock a big fragrance like that for the summer. That said, I have worn Interlude in the Middle East in 35 degree heat and it worked a treat!

    • @petejames440
      @petejames440 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol...funny you should mention Interlude..down here in Oz it`s cold and it just happens I`m wearing said frag..first version..BEAST! hahaha..btw..you guys sure must have some serious collections..ever thought about a top 10? lol

    Of those mentioned, Orange Sanguine is my favorite. It's been one of my go to scents this Summer season. I do like Creed VIW, but this Summer season Creed's Erolfa has been my number one scent.

    • @WaftsfromTheLoft
      @WaftsfromTheLoft  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Love Incorporated I’ve always been a bit disappointed by Erolfa when I’ve tried it, and I remember the performance being terrible. Perhaps I should give it another go. If you like orange sanguine you should try Sundrunk by Imaginary Authors. We’ve reviewed it. All the best bits of Orange sanguine plus more!

    that heackels fragance sounds really good. a pity that it costs me 30 pound for the 7 ml to ship to holland. i think there is no way to sample it from somewhere else.

    • @WaftsfromTheLoft
      @WaftsfromTheLoft  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      pietje puk wow, that’s a lot! Perhaps email them and ask them if they can offer cheaper? £30 is a hell of a lot for a small package! Try contacting them on Twitter?

    • @pietjepuk2199
      @pietjepuk2199 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      30 pound is including the 7 ml. so shipping is 15 pound.

    • @WaftsfromTheLoft
      @WaftsfromTheLoft  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      pietje puk ah, ok, then that’s not quite so bad, but still a lot for so small a package

      Same issue with shipping to Canada 😕. Been wanting to sample since the spring list video. Reached out to them, couldn’t really do any coupon to offset the cost however I think they did increase the sample size ( was 2 ml before if I recall) which helps. One day Haeckels, one day 😝

    • @WaftsfromTheLoft
      @WaftsfromTheLoft  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Scott I’ve found the same when ordering from some indie houses in Canada/US, I’ve ended up paying more for postage than the samples! At least they’re now 7.5 (not 10 as I said in the video!) so it’s a little more worth while!

    Can you please give me some cheapish mass pleasing BEAST Mode summer fragrances. Not interested in expensive. Thanks

    • @WaftsfromTheLoft
      @WaftsfromTheLoft  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      sdnalyam they are hard criteria to fulfil. You don’t get many beast mode summer fragrances, without paying £120 + a bottle. If you want to find something like that on a budget I would look at one clone houses. Perfume parlour’s dupe of Neroli Portofino is incredibly close to the original, and last better, and it’s a tiny fraction of the price. www.perfume-parlour.co.uk/neroliz-portofeeno-for-men-0628 . If you want to spend more I would suggest Gorse by Laboratory perfumes. It is similar to Virgin Island Water by Creed, but you get MUCH better performance, and at £60 a bottle it’s fantastic value.
