I have just returned from a vacation in Amalfi Coast (Positano, Amalfi and capri) for the fourth consecutive year and I have to admit that every year I try to identify the smell of the area and actually have no smell ... I have any perfume that exists related to Amalfi or Capri ... The only one that reminds a bit of the area is Tom Ford Mandrino de Amalfi Aqua ...Now I bought mediterra extrait because of you..
You are in for a treat. It really is far higher quality and complexity than the TF. Enjoy

Two of my favorite Summer scents lately have been Terre D’Hermes Eau Fraiche and Valentino Uomo Acqua.
As far as niche Summer scents, I love Acqua di Parma Essenza and Bergamoto de Calabria.
But my favorite Summer signature scent will always be YSL L’Homme. Cheers to you guys 🥂🍾

Ahaha, Hyrax is such a choice for the summer list 😂😂😂 Thanks, this was fun to watch. My unusual choice among the freshies will be Bois Lumiere by Anatole Lebreton. Immortelle works so good in the extreme heat.

You guys need to get your hands on Bortnikoff’s Oud Cologne. It’s already opened up a lot since I bought. I’ve worn it once but tested it a couple times. It’s absolutely wonderful. GREAT fragrance for the summer and it’s grown on me a lot. I wasn’t to taken back by it at first. Since it’s opened up and giving it a full wearing, I’m all about it. Great stuff. I need to try Amber Cologne.

17:05 There actually is an oud from Sri Lanka in there. The tropical, aquatic character of oud from Sri Lanka pairs well with white and/or grey ambergris. It’s also one of those Ouds that doesn’t give a Oudy vibe.

Seriously, I had bat and rhinoceros from Zoo and I found them very challenging and weird at that time of my life...now I’m gravitating towards more out of the box fragrances that aren’t the typical (Dior Chanel John varvatos) department store pushers
They're an amazing house, with some really fascinating fragrances to explore

Gentlemen, thank you so much for the video. I've been rocking Oliver for the past few months and the best thing about it is indeed that it stands out compared to all other citrus fragrances lingering in the air. A little tip for future videos: when you do a close-up to show us the bottle, you can use the other hand to cover the background so as to let the camera focus on the bottle itself - J Copeland does this perfectly! Thanks again and much love
Thanks! We’ve actually turned off autofocus; since there is always a gap in between us we had problems with re-focusing and in end found it less problematic to just then it off.

From Guerlain, i like also Eau de Fleurs de Cedrat and la Cologne du Parfumeur.
Great list as always, guys! Interesting to hear your thoughts on Dodo as a GIT replacement-I’ve been looking for an alternative myself as I’ve been getting a bit bored of the composition, and never upgraded to a full bottle. Zoologist is a blind spot I hope to soon rectify.
Initially the lychee steers it in a very different direction, but as it develops you do get more of a fougere body, albeit a ‘summery’ one. Zoologist really do a lot of great things. It’s a great concept, but also Viktor Wong is fantastic at hand picking the most exciting and talented perfumers.

wonderful as usual gents. A lot of that is out of my price league, however, I am going for Haekells samples. I have just purchased for summer 4160 Tuesdays London 1969 and Karma by Lush, both quite challenging, but very lovely citrus opening scents... Cheers chaps keep em coming

yes my apologies it wasnt meant to be about price and not sure why i left that in as i realised when writing it and you always talk about the often affordable scents you preview. i think more importantly, i have purchased a few products from the two houses i mentioned, following watching your vids and am currently pursuing Guerlain too and i think that was what i was trying to say.....id had red wine :}

Chergui is my summer rascal, it has no right to work but it does. One spray.
My favourite "cologne" cologne is cologne royale by Dior. The big bottle helps as u don't feel bad for just reapplying like a madman.

@@WaftsfromTheLoft think it's the hay note But the damp tobacco and iris stop it becoming too dry. Beautifully blended by my favourite perfumer.
I've also been wearing a lot of Dune by Dior so far, the novelty of it being so different from today's designers isn't lost lol but it's a bitter and juicy little number. Also, recently discontinued so got a back up.

A little. Big fan of Oud Palao, also like philosykos, 34 boulevard and tempo
@@WaftsfromTheLoft oud palao is better than oud ispahan imo. I'm decimating my l'ombre dans l'eau this summer. Smells like plant goo (sap lol)
Where you gents don’t normally enjoy light fare, perhaps Atelier Colognes isn’t generally for you. But I find simplistic brilliance in their Iris Rebelle, a piquant, unique take on iris that’s my go-to in the Big Heat of midsummer.
There’s also Dinudisit by January Scent Project and MEM by Bogue!
I really enjoy Orange Sanguine. I love MEM but even I find it a little animalic for a hot day! I haven’t tried Dinudisit, but am a big fan of JSP
Wafts from The Loft fascinating, this further proves how kaleidoscopic MEM is for different people, because I get very little, if any animalics out of it! Ya'll introduced me to MEM and it is now my very favorite fragrance, so thank you!
I really recommend Dinudisit, it is extremely peculiar

@@WaftsfromTheLoft Unfortunately, Arran don't ship Eau de Toilette internationally (I'd have liked Machrie rather than After the Rain, but nothing doing). The reason is international security regulations for air transport. Papillon and Maria Barcenilla don't ship to Europe, either. Andy Tauer has stopped delivering samples except to Germany, Austria, and France, for which transport is on the ground. I do hope this trend will not continue.
That’s a shame. Have you tried Les Senteurs? They stock Tauer and Papillon and mat ship to Europe? Or Luckyscent?

@@WaftsfromTheLoft you have to! Anima Vinci is the correct Name! They have 8 gorgous scents. Tudo Azul is a long lasting fruit Cocktail with a lot of Fragrance oil like profumum roma.
